About Ralphie

This guy is a total lover to those who are IN his circle. He is happy, silly, rambunctious and likes other dogs!

Ralphie is fearful of new people. We are working through this and Ralphie meets new people really well these days.. Ralphie finished dog 1 class and agility class! Ralphie needs a home where not many people come visit so that he can continue to work on his stranger danger.

Ralphie likes kids and loves to cuddle with them but needs to be around older children. Sometimes when he gets excited he can be jumpy and may knock some small kids over.

His foster family has brought him a long way! If you think you are up for a super fun dude and willing to be patient and work side by side with our rescue; and our trainer, please message me! We continue to learn about Ralphie and what his needs are.

Ralphie is up to date on shots, neutered and mostly house broken. Ralphie has separation anxiety but it’s getting better!

Thorn was trapped out by the Humane Society of Elkhart County. This little guy had been on the run for over a month. Thankfully a neighbor started a feeding station and Kira was able to trap this guy. He was not happy about it either. I heard his complaints the whole way home? Once we got Thorn settled he came around fairly quick. Our dogs definitely helped him adjust. At first I thought he was a puppy , but his teeth say he is 1- 2 years old. Thorn is a low rider so possibly Dachshund mixed with terrier. Definetly cuteness overload? His coat is short and shiny black with a hint of brindle. Oh and I have to mention his cute little white toes. Thorn has it all going on with the good looks and great personality!! When considering Thorn there are a few things to keep in mind. It will take time for Thorn to warm up to you. He is very food motivated and with patience you will win him over with yummy treats. Thorn also likes to jump up on his person. We are working on it, but for this reason a home with older children would be best. Thorn also can use his mouth to grab and play bite your hands. Again we are working on this behavior. Most of what I see in Thorn is typical puppy behavior. We would love to see him in puppy classes and I also think he would be great at agility. If you have other pets Thorn does great with dogs of all sizes. If you have cats he does well, but will chase if they run. Thorn is fearful of people he does not know and will take slow introductions to new people. Thorn is completely vetted. Crate trained . We do require a completely fenced in yard. Thorn is working on his house training and doing very well. I do use belly bands if I know I'm going to be busy and not keep an eye on him.. if you are looking for a fun loving dog with tons of personality look no further. This little guy will melt your?
