About Reela

0720091

I need a single family home because I seem to be part pittie! I can NOT go to a home in a city or county with a ban on pitbulls!

Hi!!! I'm Reela but my foster Mom calls me Knox because my obnoxiousness will wiggle its way into your heart! I am potty trained and sleep in the bed with my foster Mom. I still get crated when left alone because I can be known to chew on things that aren't mine but I'm working in it. I am pretty good on a leash but my puppyness gets the best of me (I just want to say hi!) Once I calm down, I just want to snuggle. I am great with other dogs but still get a little too excited with tiny kids so I'd probably be best with ages 5 and up. Come meet me!

0612032 I need a single family home! Hey there! My name is Artemis, but you can call me Arty. I’m a 45 pound, 2 year old pittie mix. You may have noticed I’m missing a leg, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit. I’m the happiest, friendliest pup you could ever want! I always want to meet everyone I see and love them all. I love going on walks with my foster family and would love an active family I can go on adventures with. I’m great in the car and am good on a leash—I pull a little bit cause I’m just so excited but am doing much better on a harness. Toys are the best! My favorite toy is whichever one just got thrown, or whichever one another dog has (foster mom says I need to learn to share better…). Water is a lot of fun too; I love to chase water out of the hose or stick my head in the sprinklers. We just started working on obedience training, and I’m a champ! I listen well and just want to please, and learn quickly. I’ve learned sit, lay down, leave it, and stay already. I can get really excited, so I’ve been told I need to learn better manners—I’m working on it, but the world is just so exciting! I adore kids (they’ll roll around on the floor with me and I can give them kisses!), but sometimes I can play a bit rough. If I was supervised around little ones while I learn to play a little more gently, I would be fine with anybody. I haven’t seen cats, but I do love to chase anything so maybe shouldn’t be around them. I would -love- to have another playful pup to hang out with and play play play. Mostly, I just want an active family to hang out with and cuddle forever! show less

0621059 I need a single family home with a fenced in yard since I require lots of physical and mental stimulation! I am heartworm positive. Heartworm is NOT contagious. The rescue covers the cost of treatment at the rescue's vet.  We are excited to introduce  everyone to BENJI! 💙🐶💙 BENJI is a neutered 3 year old ish Australian Kelpie/GSD X that is a total sweet heart💙 - & just look at those ears!!! He has been living with both older kids & younger kids. Benji has been a gentleman when he has met other dogs.  Not sure what he thinks about cats, but he hasn’t paid much attention to the bunnies we occasionally see in the yard.  Benji is a big, shy boy who still needs to put on some weight, which we are diligently working on! He is house trained having just a couple of accidents at first. He is eager to please & is very happy when he receives praise when he does something well.  After several days with lots of sleep 💤 & yummy food 😋, Benji has gotten more & more comfortable with his new, comfy, family lifestyle here in Colorado.🏔 Benji came to DCCR with the many homeless dogs rescued from TX. He is being treated for heart worm (non contagious & DCCR pays for his treatment!). He likes to take short walks & spend LOTS of his time snuggling on a dog bed, soft blanket, or on your lap!  Once he’s healthy, Benji will make a great hiking & adventure companion! Can you be the one to give Benji his “fur-ever” home?! 🏡💙🏡   show less

The rescue covers the cost of treatment at the rescue's vet.  Ok with dogs - No Ok with cats - Yes Ok with kids - Yes House trained - Yes Chata is the most affectionate, sweet and loving dog! She enjoys snuggling on the couch and in bed - the closer the better! Chata is a medium/low-energy dog. She loves her walks, but she’s perfectly happy just hangin’ around the house with her people.  Chata currently lives in an apartment and never barks. She is incredibly well-behaved in her small apartment. She keeps herself busy chewing her bones (never unattended as she could choke) or playing with her hedgehog or rope toy, which she playfully tosses around. Chata is crate-trained, house-trained and super chill. She’s an easy dog.  The ONLY challenge with Chata is that she is dog aggressive because she was not properly socialized when she was young. It seems that she may have had some bad experiences with dogs in her past life. Unless you are a professional dog trainer, I would recommend that she be the ONLY dog in the home. She should always be on a leash and dog parks are ill-advised. Even though Chata is good with kids, because we don’t know her background, her forever family should not have young kids. show less
