About Willis

Meet Willis! Willis, or "Will" as his foster mom calls him, is shy and will need his humans to understand he needs time to get comfortable as he finds new situations and people scary at first. Once Will is comfortable with people and environments, he is truly a sweetheart and loves lots of head and neck pets! Will likes to lay next to you while you work, read, or watch T.V. He enjoys play time and likes to chase mice toys and bat balls around. Will can get chatty at times and loves looking out the window sill at birds and squirrels. His foster mom says Will always comes up to her, sits down, and kneads his front paws, which makes him look as if he's tap dancing (or as his foster mom calls them his "tippy tappies"), because he's so happy to see her. If you have a quiet, adults only home and experience working with shy cats, Willis would love to meet you! Willis is currently spending time in a foster home.

Clover is an Underdog who with extra help can blossom into a Wonderdog. Clover won’t fit with every home, so consider your lifestyle and ComPETibility score carefully before falling in love. A little Clover is waiting to be picked by a lucky family! Clover is an energetic 2 year old Shepherd mix. Playing an enthusiastic game of fetch and getting to socialize and run with dogs her own size is her idea of the perfect day. Clover believes she could never have too much exercise and so the words “ Lets Go Outside” make her very happy. She is a clever girl and would love to continue her training, mainly so she can earn some treats! Clover would do best in an active, dog experienced household with family members over the age of 15. She would want an owner who can continue her training and focus her energy while in her home. A four leaf clover stands for hope, faith, love and luck. Is your home her lucky home? Do you have a home that fits Clover's needs but are on the fence about adopting? Consider fostering them for a few weeks first! Fostering with the intent to adopt is a great way to see how Clover fits in before making things official. While fostering, you’ll have full support from PAWS for medical, behavioral, and food needs. To get started, apply to foster and reach out to acfoster@pawschicago.org. show less

Hey Everyone! My name is Hinley, and I’m an Underdog just waiting to be a Wonderdog!! Do you think we could be a perfect match?? Read a little more about me to find out! Did you know I’m REALLY smart?? I love to work on training exercises, and if you offer me a tasty treat I’ll pretty much do whatever you ask me to do. If I’m not quite sure what you’re asking, you better believe I’ll keep trying until I figure it out!! Training is a great way for dogs like me to bond with their humans, so if this sounds like fun to you, it’s possible we’re already falling in love! One more thing you should know about me is that my brains are as big as my brawn!! But, despite being a strong boy, I can get a little insecure around other dogs and small (fast-moving) children. I’ll need a home where I’m your only bundle of love (and infinite joy)! On the fence about adopting? Consider fostering me for a few weeks!
