This gorgeous gal was found on a back patio with three one-day-old kittens. She is a sweetheart & almost charmed her way inside the home despite the homeowner's severe cat allergy. When I arrived to pick her & the kittens up she immediately greeted me by rubbing her head on my hand & leg. Then she walked right into the carrier & I took her & the kittens home with me. As their foster mom I had it pretty easy because this lovely kitty was a wonderful mom who took the best possible care of her babies. In fact, once her litter of three was eating canned food, she started nursing eight more kittens from another mom who wasn't producing enough milk for her whole litter. I named her Gwenneth when she took on those extra kittens so willingly because the meaning of Gwenneth is blessed, generous and good natured. Gwenneth (Gwen for short) is still nursing the extra kittens but they are starting to eat some canned food as well so she will be available for adoption soon. Gwen is an incredibly easy going cat, I have never once seen her get upset at any of the kittens & I am amazed at her patience because the kittens can drive me a little nuts sometimes (& I'm not even nursing them). Gwen is social butterfly & does not shy away from new people who come to visit. She even likes to talk & I think her voice is the cutest. Her meow has a kinda chirp-ish quality to it that is adorable & I think fits her personality perfectly. Gwen has been a big eater lately & shows her excitement for meal time by jumping on her cardboard scratcher & letting loose. I've been introducing the kittens to toys recently & she is joining in on the fun. Her favorite is hunting whatever is at the end of the string attached to the wand.Whoever adopts Gwen is going to get a fantastic cat.
