About Captain Cooper "URGENT"

"URGENT" Captain Cooper was adopted but is coming back to our rescue because according the his adopter he is too loving and affectionate. So if your family is a loving and affectionate family please adopt Captain Cooper because he will definitely return you love! Welcome Cooper to our rescue... Cooper is a very distinguished handsome coonhound mix livin it up to a Tennessee hound as he was a stray here in Morrison, TN. Cooper went up to a very kind family home and stayed there and now they are helping Cooper get a furever home through us and we would love Cooper to have his very own family & peeps and appreciate what a kindhearted soul Cooper is & welcome Cooper home. Cooper is two years old, male, 50 pounds tri-colored mix, medium size baby, pretty mellow, great house manners, housebroken, crate trained, good with other dogs we don't know about cats as the home he is at doesn't have cats but he seemed ok at the vet around their cats but wouldn't say for sure either way. Good with kids, very loving, super friendly and extremely sweet!! Loves to play with his foster family's dogs. Cooper will make a wonderful family pet and is smart and easy to train. Cooper is a sweet boy, has had all vaccinations(rabies, parvo/dhlpc combo, bordetella), neutered, hw negative, on monthly heartworm prevention and flea and tick meds and is ready to roll out to his new family! Cooper has a microchip that will need transferred to your name once he is adopted and in your home. Our adoption fee includes the $175.00 transport fee with Rescue Riders Transport and the $25.00 health certificate needed for him coming up to you! This is a COURTESY LISTING for a pet that is not a Save a Stray rescue. However, Save a Stray will be happy to provide any information on this animal and accept adoption applications at saveastray.org. Thank you for considering adding a deserving pet to your family. From the foster family: Beau is a very special boy . His story is one of thousands of homeless dogs in the U.S. After seeing a video of him on social media , he touched the heart of a very kind lady in Mobile, AL . He reminded her so much of a fur baby that she had lost several years ago . She just got in her car and drove to Houston, Texas to pick him up from the animal shelter without knowing any past history about him . He is a lot bigger and much stronger than she had anticipated. She is also worried that Beau would be too rough with her small dog and may hurt him accidentally. Unfortunately, she is not able to keep him. She is determined to find the perfect home for Beau. He deserves to live out the rest of his life in comfort and love. He will need a strong owner when he goes for walks. He loves to go for rides in the car . He likes to play with stuffed toys . He is crate trained and probably house trained . He knows how to sit and is learning new commands . He must have a 6ft fence because he is very athletic. He can jump very high to reach his toys. He is a champion at playing tug of war! Munching on ice is his favorite treat. He would be best as an only dog until he can be properly introduced to other dogs and evaluated. He needs an owner who has experience with his breed. This pet has been vetted including spay/neuter and vaccinations. Please fill out a Save a Stray adoption form if interested in giving this sweetie a loving, furever home and please leave a contact number for details on adoption requirements. show less

(No the Golden in this pic is not available) Beerce is one awesome sweet pup. He has lots of energy but he is a people pleaser and wants to make you happy. He is treat motivated for training. He already understands not to jump up on us and knows sit. He also will pick himself up in his crate at bedtime and feeding time. Super smart boy we think with his intelligence and his looks he most likely is part German Shepherd and on the smaller side but not by much he still has some growing to do so it’s hard to say how big he will end up but we think probably around 45-55 lbs. He is good with other dogs but does not like to share his food so feeding time will require either crating or in a separate area. He’s not shown any issues with toys or nylabone chews. He is not worried if someone is playing with one he will not go steal it. He’s very curious and wants to be with you and see what you’re doing. He has not quite enjoyed being groomed yet he wants to play with the brush but he will get the hang of it. He is eager when he sees the others being brushed he wants to be a part of that. He’s going to be a great dog for a wonderful family. He would do well with older kids only because he tends to not realize his size (not that he’s huge or even very big) and will knock smaller children down. He is located in East TN and we do have transport available (for an additional fee) to the east coast area as well as the Great Lakes area with our wonderful friends at Rescue Riders! They are the best! We do require an application, vet references as well as a virtual home visit/meet. Please apply at petpath.org show less
