About Mr. Rogers

Mr. Rogers is looking to spend a beautiful day in your neighborhood and spend a lifetime in his forever home. This 8-year-old gentleman did not appear to have the easiest time on the streets and seems to prefer the indoors much better. He loves to show his appreciation by snuggling up and always giving attention to his humans. If you are looking for a little white shadow, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll never wonder where he is since he’s always following and curled up within 5 feet of your location at any time. Mr. Rogers is also quite the conversationalist, and he has a lot of thoughts to share with you. Most of his vocabulary is meerps and squeaks, but he will also call out if he loses sight of you for a few seconds. So, expect a chatty kitty with his adoption. Mr. Rogers’ day is mostly spent enjoying his retirement from the streets with lots of naps and snoring. He’s a little weathered from the streets and moves a little slowly, but still gets some zoomies in from time to time. You’ll be pulled in by his meows and chubby cheeks, but stay for his incredible, gentle personality. Mr. Rogers is very much a people cat and loves to seek out human attention. He is also very chill and seems to do well with other cats who have a range of personalities; although, he would likely do fine as a solo cat. He has not been exposed to children that we know of, but would likely do well with a gentle child in the home. Please consider giving Mr. Rogers his forever home and you will be blessed with excellent conversation, deep companionship, and love for all the days to come. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and FeLV/FIV tested negative. His adoption fee is $95. To obtain an application for this sweet, gentle boy, email jennyv@fcacc.org.

Are you looking for the world's cutest, cuddliest kitten? Then you've come to the right place with Boris. This sweet little man has only one thing on his mind - "Where can I get my next snuggle?" You will instantly fall in love with this sweetheart and his humongous pupils. His perpetual kitten eyes will cause you to melt each and every time you look at each other. Boris is also a very playful kitten, but would typically rather cuddle up in your lap and watch his sisters wrestle around on the ground from the safety of the couch. It seems as if he was born with no bones, since he seems to melt onto any surface he lays on. You’ll typically find him laying on his back in some crevice on the couch, or flopped over in some unusual position on a blanket. So if you’re looking for the world sweetest and cuddliest kitten purrs the instant you even look at him, Boris will be the one for you. Boris is only available for adoption with one of his littermates, Bug, Bean, Butter or Bitsy, or into a home with a compatible feline companion. He has been neutered, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested negative, and microchipped. Boris's adoption fee of $125 helps support Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control in their mission to save Chicago's neediest animals. MEET SADIE! Sadie is a 13.5yr old golden girl. Despite being a senior cat with diabetes, Sadie is very active and loves meal time. She especially loves the little chicken-bits snacks that she convinces her foster mom she NEEDS with her adorable meows. After a very reassuring vet visit to stabilize Sadie's diabetes, her condition has become very manageable, so much that Sadie is completely unbothered by her daily insulin injections. Some of Sadie's favorite activities are sunbathing, snack time, playing with crinkly toys, climbing on furniture, and LOTS OF CUDDLING! Sadie's foster mom says she's never met a more cuddly cat. The second you sit on a couch or lie on your bed, Sadie will not be far behind ready to snuggle right next to you or lay right on top of you! Pro-tip: put a blanket on top of you and you'll get a free massage because nothing gets this biscuit maker into work mode like a fluffy blanket! She's not afraid to purrrrr and let out a little drool to let you know just how happy she is being with you, especially when she gets pets and scratches too! Sadie is also cat-friendly after a slow transition to new fur friends. Sadie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV tested negative.
