About Mary B

Let's be honest - Mary B. Is a cutie pie. Sweet-natured, affectionate, and fun-loving, she can fetch and run with the big boys. She's a low-rider with looks of a big Dachshund or a little Labrador. Her social skills with dogs and people are excellent, however cats and kids remain an unknown (though we're pretty sure she'll like humans of any height). She is very dog friendly as she's been roaming the range at a local pet resort ranch, and she is used to being kenneled and should master crate-training quickly. Just so you know, Mary B. will become the most popular member of your family when you bring her home and everyone will want to sit next to her at the dinner table. Seriously, she's that charming. This beautiful girl is Halsey. She's a 38-pound Mal-Shepherd mix who's gentle, sweet, and gets along well with kids and dogs. She is 7 years old, with an enthusiastic and loving demeanor. Her soft eyes will melt your heart. She is smart, active, and loves to give high fives. She is crate trained and doesn't potty inside. She is territorial about food and water but only with other dogs, not people. Simple solution, she eats in her crate. Her foster notes that she can drop any medication into her food and she eats it all up. No problem getting her to take any meds. Sweet Halsey was found with an embedded collar in her neck and heartworm positive. Despite this sad beginning in our program, this adorable, slightly grey-muzzled gal is happy and so loved in her foster home. She is undergoing heartworm treatment with our rescue but is available for adoption and more than ready to go to her furever home. All she needs is a family to give her a great second chance and tons of love. We will handle her heartworm treatment until she tests negative, hand in hand with her adopters. Don't let this small bump in the road scare you, we are happy to talk to you about the process, just reach out to us at Send us your application to meet Halsey today! Link to apply: show less
