This sweet senior boy is currently being treated for bronchitis. He is also scheduled for a dental cleaning even though he already has the best smile. Stay tuned for more in Chance! Update: Chance  is a sweet old guy who's easygoing and finds a bed and naps.  He's very food motivated and loves to eat.  He enjoys pets but he flinches when suddenly approached so should be approached slowly, making your presence and proximity known, as his vision might be compromised.  He can still see and follow you around though, and he does like to sniff and hang out in the yard.  He needs to be taken out for potty after meals and after waking up from naps.  When taken outside, he's quick to potty. Energy Level?  Low to Medium House trained?  We're working on it. Describe how they are on a leash?  Good. Describe how they are with other dogs?  Good. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  No. Commands they know?  Go potty. What are their favorite things?  Food, naps. What do they need to work on?  Potty training How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  He's good when left alone. Where do they sleep?  On a dog bed, on the floor. What is their ideal home?  Chance is an easy-going guy.  He needs someone who can give him the care and the attention he deserves. Khloe Grace  is a sweet girl and affectionate to those she trusts. She has a quiet side and enjoys naps on top of couch and also a playful side. We call it the evening crazies. She is opening up and is vocal now. She does an interesting howl when greeting you after returning home after being gone awhile. She likes to cuddle on laps too. We are working on stay and come and is doing well. She understands sit. She loves walks too. Energy Level?  Likes to chill out nap, but then she has a playful side and LOVES playing catch with small rubber balls. She is obsessed with them and guards them, it is endearing. House trained?  Yes, and has never had an accident in our home under our care. Describe how they are on leash?  She does well walking, but is easily distracted. Loves to stop and smell everything. She does much better if walked on the street without much stimulus. We are working on those issues currently. Describe how they are with other dogs? Didn't do well at a dog park and was sacred & didn't initiate play. On walks when other dogs are near she gets aggravated and wants to lunge at them. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  She wasn't around other cats in our care. Commands they know?  Sit for sure. Getting good at stay, come and drop (ball) What are their favorite things?Loves to sleep on top of couches, look at window and above all her small rubber balls. What do they need to work on?  She did well with company we had for dinner. Need to work on her behavior with other animals though. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  Adjusted to being alone. The longest periods alone are throughout the night. Did well on her own with people out of the house for ~ 7-8 hours. Where do they sleep?  In a pen on her cushion with blanket. What is their ideal home?  She may do well in a home with a family with slightly older children. I think younger ones would pester her. She would be good company for an adult-only home or a senior. She likes a down time, but someone who has energy for walks which she enjoys and she never tires of you throwing and playing catch with a ball show less

Max  is a happy, loving dog who needs a bit of time to settle into new situations. He is dog-friendly and very smart. We rescued Max when he had a urinary tract blockage and stones in his bladder that were life-threatening.  He has completely healed from the surgery!! Energy Level?  Max is generally high energy, and loves daily walks (about 30 to 45 minutes suits him just fine). House trained?  Max is generally house-trained but is reluctant to go outside in the morning. He does have occasional accidents in the house. Describe how they are on a leash?  Max is very excited to go on his walks and will touch his nose to his lease indicating he is ready to go for his daily walk. Sometimes he can be reactive to other dogs but sometimes will also walk calmly past a dog. He is friendly greeting other friendly dogs. Describe how they are with other dogs?  Max enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and will prefer to sleep close to another dog, if not actually on the same bed from time to time. However, he's good at picking up signals from dogs when they do not want him too close. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Max is good...for the most part. Max is a little too interested in my young cat and my kitten and so has limited access to them, although he has met them both. But he is pretty good overall with my dog-savvy older cat. (although he does get warned to back off from time to time by my cat).   Commands they know?  Max is largely untrained and would do amazing in a beginner class. What are their favorite things?  Max loves toys, zoomies around the house or backyard, snuggling in your lap, trying to eat the cat's food, trying to play or annoy the kitten, going for walks. What do they need to work on?  Recall, sit, stay, leave it. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  Max has only been alone for perhaps four hours. But, he's fine being in the kitchen when I'm in another room....zero separation anxiety Where do they sleep?  Max sleeps in his crate or an xpen. What is their ideal home?  Max would be great for someone who understands he really needs time to settle in. He growled and barked at me for two full days when I got him...and now my biggest challenge is keeping him off my lap when I'm trying to work. He's very loving, sweet, and playful...but is untrained and will not reliably come when called. He does not like leaving his bed in the morning and sometimes will growl when he is told to go outside. He rarely barks unless it's to get your attention (usually when he's hungry). He has no separation anxiety when he's kept in another room from me. He would be a great companion for someone who is willing to go slow and spend time training him. He is very smart and would benefit tremendously from training. What is their meal schedule and what are they eating?  Max eats special prescription food since he had stones removed from his bladder.  He loves his prescription kibble and has no problem gobbling it down. Nugget  can be shy and unsure in new or scary environments but loves to snuggle and give kisses when comfortable.  He is really starting to come out of his shell. He is also playful and happy! He’s always doing something cute. And he’s curious. Nugget loves to cuddle. Energy Level?  Low to moderate House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on a leash?  Walks well on leash most of the time, but can get spooked.  Describe how they are with other dogs?  He is fine with dogs.  He is i nterested in other dogs, takes correction. Have they been around cats or other animals?   How were they?  N/A Commands they know?  He is learning, Stay  What are their favorite things?  Napping. Getting scratched behind his ears. Treats. What do they need to work on?  We are working on building his confidence. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  He is concerned when left alone, will sometimes whine or bark, usually waits by the door. He is more relaxed when our dog is in the room with him. He has not been alone for more than 2 hours at a time so far. Where do they sleep?  In his bed, up on a chair, in my bedroom What is their ideal home?  a somewhat quieter environment without small children, Nugget is used to someone being home with him most of the time. Nugget was 2 years old and 9.5 Pounds Our Adoption fee is $325.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online application:   www.everypetsdream.org/adopt  and  we will have everything we need to know to call you back and set up an appointment.  Follow us:  Facebook  and  Instagram .   Every Pet's Dream www.everypetsdream.org www.facebook.com/everypetsdream2 www.instagram.com/everypetsdream show less

Sasha  is a sweet brave little dog.  When we rescued her she had suffered a traumatic injury inflicted on her which resulted in her needing eye drops daily. However, she has  completely healed in our care  and is off all medication!!   She really is a lovely dog Energy Level?  medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on a leash?  Sasha is great on a leash and loves her walks Describe how they are with other dogs?  At first, she was apprehensive with her foster friends, and kept to herself, not bothering anyone.  Now she is soliciting play with the resident dogs Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  unknown Commands they know?  Sasha knows her name and comes when called.  She will get in her bed when you ask her to. What are their favorite things?  She LOVES to sit in the sun and sunbathe. She loves to kiss your nose.   What do they need to work on?  Sasha is still nervous about being picked up although this has improved so much since we first took her in.  Also, our vet would like her to slim down a bit.  How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  We leave her free in the house when we leave.  She is free to go out to the yard.  We work at home but on the weekends she has been left for up to  6 hours when needed. Where do they sleep?  At night she sleeps in the doggie room on a dog bed,  What is their ideal home?  Sasha would do fine in a home with or without dogs.  We think Sasha would be happiest in an adult-only home with adopters who are willing to go slow in the beginning when it comes to picking her.  She will reward that patience by being a very loyal and loving companion!!   Our Adoption fee is $325.
