Meowsa I’m Azan! I was part of the Feral Collective, but I have left the Collective and turned into a complete housecat. I start purring like a motorboat the minute I see my fostermom and love sitting in laps, getting my belly rubbed. I also love string toys and chasing rattling balls all around the room, but my favorite toy are the colorful toy springs! Are you looking for a forever family member to Netflix and cuddle?    For all pet inquiries and for faster service, please contact the Adoption Director by email at adoptions@dognkittycity.org or send a text message to the shelter at 214-350-7387. If you are interested in adopting this pet you will need to submit a filled-in adoption application (dognkittycity.org/2/adoption-application.html) to the Adoption Director in person, by email, or by fax at 214-594-8658. DOB:  5/7/17 Bell is a female cattle dog / coonhound mix that is approximately 4 years old.  She needs a new family that will show her unconditional love and give her proper care.  Sadly, she has not had a good life. Before being surrendered by her owner, she had been passed around to several homes due to financial and health hardships.  It was not her fault!  Good news - Bell seems to be POTTY TRAINED!  Although she doesn't sit still for long, she is not interested in playing with toys. However, if you have doggie treats in your hand, she will chase those down all day long!  Bell is not overly needy for attention and affection.  Although she loves to be pet and scratched, she doesn't necessarily seek it out.  We believe she would be happy and content with friendly feet to lay beside, a warm bed in the house, and a yard to run in.  She just needs consistency and a place where she can feel safe!  Although Bell came to us with a friend, in the shelter she has shown aggression towards other dogs.  She will need to be placed in a home as the only pet.  We would love to see this sweetheart have a brand new start.  There is something so adorable about her personality and demeanor.  Set up a Meet 'n Greet to see for yourself! Our adoption is $100 and covers spay/neuter, shots, and microchip.  All dogs are on Heartworm preventative or treatment.     For all pet inquiries, please email our Adoption Director at adoptions@dognkittycity.org or text the shelter at (214) 350-7387. If you are interested in adopting this pet you will need to submit an adoption application at dognkittycity.org/adoption-application.html. We are located at 2719 Manor Way, Dallas, TX 75235. We are open daily 11:45 AM – 5 PM, closed Tuesdays. DOB 3/24/16 Why is sweet Bertie still in the shelter?  She is 5 year old, Dachshund mix that came from a hoarding situation over three months ago!  She was surrendered with puppies who have now all been adopted.   All of the volunteers are cheering for her to be next!  She is definitely a shelter favorite!!  She is a great blend of playful and loving.  We believe she would do best in a home with older children, empty nesters, or retirees.  Too much activity would probably make her nervous.  If you have a mild mannered, small/medium dog, she could be a great companion pet! Please consider setting up a Meet 'n Greet for our beautiful Bertie! Our adoption donation is tax deductible and includes spay/neuter, microcip, and shots.  All dog are on heartworm preventative or treatment. Adoption:  $200 For all pet inquiries, please email our Adoption Director at adoptions@dognkittycity.org or text the shelter at (214) 350-7387. DOB:  5/7/12 Love!  Love! Love this big, beautiful boy!  Although he has an independent spirit, he can be affectionate and endearing .  He is eight years young and had a tough life.  Despite the hardships he has endured, he still seems to exude joy!  He just makes everyone at the shelter happy!  Great news - he seems to be POTTY TRAINED!  He is also DOG FRIENDLY, but NO cats please.  Although strong, Buzz is great on a leash.  The volunteers at the shelter walk him daily and cannot say enough great things about him.  He has not shown much interest in playing with toys or playing fetch, but that could change once feeling safe and secure in a new home.  Come meet Buzz and love him "To Infinity and Beyond"! Adoption is $100 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, and shots.  All of our dogs are on Heartworm preventative or treatment.       For all pet inquiries, please email our Adoption Director at adoptions@dognkittycity.org or text the shelter at (214) 350-7387. DOB:  7/11/18 Chico doesn't understand why he was surrendered by the only family he has ever known.  For three years he had love and security.  Now he is in the shelter!  Workers and volunteers are trying to make him feel comfortable and loved, but can you imagine what is going through his head?  He needs someone that will be patient and give him time to adjust.  At the moment, he is shy and timid, but we can see the light in his eyes.  He wants to open up and trust again.  He wants to play without looking over his shoulder.  He wants to love and cherish his new humans!  Chico is a chihuahua mix that is large for the breed.  He is the perfect size for an apartment or home.  He is also dog friendly.  Please come meet him.  Let's don't make him wait long for his furever home! $200 Adoption: Covers spay/neuter, shots, and microchip.  All dogs are on heartworm preventative or treatment.  Adopters are required to keep their pets on heartworm preventative for the remainder of their life.     For all pet inquiries, please email our Adoption Director at adoptions@dognkittycity.org or text the shelter at (214) 350-7387. DOB 5/18/20 "Dusty" has a story unlike any of our other dogs!  This precious girl was thrown over the fence at the shelter in the middle of the night.  Can you imagine how scared she was?  Not to mention that her leg was injured!  The cowardly owners left a note with her advising that she had mostly been kept in crate.  This is NO way for a young dog to learn how to live or learn.  Dusty's leg is healing.  Can you be the one to help heal her heart?  She is very affectionate and craves love and attention.  If you want a loyal dog that will worship you, this is your girl!  She will remain smaller like a pocket pittie.  Dusty loves to play with toys and she enjoys a dip in the shelter swimming pool.  She is energetic and exuberant at first meeting.  She is just so happy to see you and have attention.  She will probably put her paws up on you until sweetly trained to do otherwise.  Due to this, we do not recommend small children in her new home.  Otherwise, she is perfect and eager to leave shelter life in her "dust"!  Please set up a Meet and Greet!  $200 Adoption covers spay/neuter, microchip, and shots.  All dogs are on Heart Worm Prevention or Treatment.  The shelter requires that all adopters continue with Heart Worm Prevention.   For all pet inquiries, please email our Adoption Director at adoptions@dognkittycity.org or text the shelter at (214) 350-7387. DOB 4/4/18 My name is Eric, and I was found with my sibling living on the streets. I adjusted to shelter life, and I have found friends in the staff, volunteers, visitors, and other cats. I even have a girlfriend named Rosemary. She's a beautiful calico.    I have been adopted 3 times and returned 3 times because I do not adjust to my new home. I hide, stop eating, hyperventilate and completely freak out. The shelter is my forever home, and I am happy here !   Please adopt me as a Guardian Angel, and be mine forever.
