Mehya

Siberian Husky

All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not see it in the bio. Mehya is a 9-year-old, female Siberian Husky with beautiful blue eyes and a stocky build. Her owner passed away, so and now she lives with a 4-year-old Malamute/ Siberian Husky mix (Nori, also available for adoption) and a 12-year-old Chihuahua. If you're looking for a girl who will be with you wherever you go, that's Meyha. Don't expect to leave a room without her following you. If you're looking for a dog to be part of a pack, that may not be the best choice for Meyha, although with some work and attention, she's done ok.   Mehya  does well with the neighbor's granddaughter, walks  well on lead for her daily walks (but is okay sleeping away the day) and isn't a barker, jumper, climber, digger or eater of shoes or remote controls, although I can't say the same thing for trash waste when I'm not home. She's nonplussed by the vacuum or Roomba (which usually just runs into her, turns and goes in another direction), loud noises (fireworks), doesn't sing with sirens, is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She's also used to having food available, so you don't need to be around at a specific time to feed her or worry that she'll overeat. She LOVES treats and learns quickly when she knows she'll get one.   She's tested negative for heartworm, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, current on her shots and is just looking for her own forever home.   For more information on how to adopt Mehya or foster a dog like her, contact ofkiltr@att.net or call 530-701-6711. _._,_._,_ Go to BAYAREASIBERIAN.org for contact information on the foster dog. show less

Nori

Siberian Husky

All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not... show more

All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not see it in the bio. Nori is a 5-year-old, female Malamute/Siberian Husky mix who came into rescue after her owner lost her home in last year's fires. She was surrendered with a torn ACL and identified as heartworm positive. Since that time, she's had her ACL surgery, is fully recovered and on heartworm prevention to get rid of the heartworms. Her next heartworm test is in December.   If you're looking for a girl who always looks happy and loves her humans, Nori is a good choice. However, although she lives with a 9-year-old Siberian Husky and a 12-year-old Chihuahua, it did take some work for her to accept them as part of her pack, so being an only child might be a wiser choice. That being said, Nori's leash skills have improved greatly and she rarely reacts to other dogs she sees while out on her walk.   Nori isn't a barker, jumper, climber, digger or eater of shoes or remote controls, doesn't sing with sirens, is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She does like to eat, so leaving a food bowl out doesn't work well for her, but she LOVES treats and learns quickly when she knows she'll get one. Nori doesn't much like the vacuum or Roomba, loud noises or fireworks, so shouldn't be left alone over the 4th or New Years eve.   Nori's on heartworm prevention, microchipped, current on her shots and is just looking for her own forever home.   For more information on how to adopt Nori or foster a dog like her, contact ofkiltr@att.net or call 530-701-6711. Pigeon

Siberian Husky

All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not... show more

All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not see it in the bio.Pigeon is a 4-5 year old 55lb neutered dog that came to us as a medical recovery case after being thrown out of a moving car on the 101. He had a rough start; distrusting humans, collar reactivity, excessive mouthiness, anxiety, mobility issues, and extreme distress during car rides. His first few months with his foster family was focused on healing his physical injuries. Once he was medically cleared, Pigeon began working diligently on learning to trust humans, crate training, leash manners, and basic obedience behaviors (sit, down, wait for food, leave it, come, and place). He can now rides comfortable in the car and will just lie down in the back seat or crated. He does really well for grooming; baths, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and blow drying. Pigeon needs a family that understands that he had a traumatic past and to mindful of that but continue to help him be the best dog he can be.  Due to his mobility issues, Pigeon will never be a marathon running partner, but he does well with low impact hikes and regular neighborhood walks. He loves to play and wrestle with his foster sibling and gets along with most dogs if introduced properly. He is very tolerant of handling by people he trusts and incredibly affectionate. He loves to snuggle and give kisses. He has taken private obedience and group classes and his instructors rave about him. His instructor is incredibly generous and will donate 2 sessions with his new family so she can show you what an awesome dog Pigeon is. That's how good and sweet Pigeon is!! Pigeon is food motivated and loves to train and learn cute tricks. He knows paw, wave, and kiss. Our ask for a new family is one that is dog savvy (specifically husky savvy), and is willing to continue training. Pigeon takes time to warm up but he’s worth the task. He is a lovely low energy dog, with a really goofy side, and he settles in nicely once he knows your routine! He will love you and will provide you with comedy relief!    Name: Pigeon (Pige or Pigey) Sex: Male, neutered Age: 4-5 UTD on vaccines UTD on flea/tick medication Good with dogs with proper intro Good with dog savvy children 12+ No small animals or cats Go to BAYAREASIBERIAN.org for contact information on the foster dog. show less

Siberian Husky

All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not see it in the bio.My name is Sprocket!   I turn! I bounce! I play and make your days full of fun! I am a 5 month young, black and white, male Siberian Husky puppy with bright blue eyes.  I play well with other dogs and know some basic commands.  I am house broken and working on my overnight crate training.  I am in full puppy mode so no toy is safe!  I LOVE to play fetch with balls and squeaky toys, but I'll steal your socks too.  I am a typical young male Siberian with a lot of energy to spare and a lot of spark to light up your house.  I love to be naughty so I will need formal puppy obedience training and a firm, experienced, owner ready for an adolescent who will likely be close to 60# in adulthood.  I am still a baby though so if you hold me in your lap and give me cuddles and rubs I will wiggle with glee. My perfect home will be an experienced home, preferably with another Siberian to teach me doggie manners, with a yard and plenty of time to walk with me and help me direct my youthful energy.  At my foster home I play all day with the resident three Siberians and my human siblings.  I am a GORGEOUS dog and will be a true show stopper as I grow, as is my personality.  I look forward to meeting my experienced, dog savvy, furever home! Love, SprocketGo to BAYAREASIBERIAN.org for contact information on the foster dog. show less
