DOB: 7/7/21 Aloha is totally independent. He prefers being on his own, running around after his toys. He has a very hearty appetite. He has been known to finish his brother's food. He will come sit with you for some kisses and pets but will run off when he's had his fill. Every time he sees me he greets me at my feet and waits for his 'hello' head rub before running off to play. He loves to climb up and perch himself on your shoulder. He likes to be the tallest in the room!  He is cautious and will sit back and observe before he commits to playing with someone or something. He is for sure an observer. Aloha also loves to play 'follow the leader' with his brothers too! He watches what they do and then follows behind them as to not be left out! He must be either adopted into a home that already has a friendly, playmate kitty or adopted with another kitten. DOB: 6/27/21    Alphie and Dixon are a bonded sister and brother pair so they must be adopted together. They are super snuggly and affectionate, very playful kittens. They can play for hours with all of their siblings but also they really love their humans. They start their motor purring as soon as you give them any attention! They even like to be held like a baby.       Both of these kittens are medium to long haired little balls of fluff! Alphie is the darker orange/white female and her brother Dixon is pale orange/white.      These kittens would do well in almost any home. They get along with other kitties and would be great in a home with gentle, loving  children. They have not been around dogs yet but with their temperament I think they would adjust just fine. They will brighten any home with lots of love and their silly kitten antics.  If you are interested in learning more about these kitties or in adopting them, please click here to email their foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. DOB: 7/2/21 Ash was one of two surviving kittens in a litter of 8 - all born under a car engine.  She is initially shy with strangers but once trust is established, she is quite playful and loves her toys!  She is a good eater and will meow to express her excitement when wet food arrives but also knows how to self regulate when dry kibble is left out all day.  She is an interesting shade of grey and the fur is oh so soft and plush!  While she is quite independent, she looks for her brother (Cinder - pic below) when he is not in sight.  As such, the ideal home with be able to adopt both of them together as they are a bonded pair.  That will certainly make the transition into a new home much easier.  She has been introduced to older children (teens) and has done very well as she is very generous with cuddles and does not mind being handled at all.  She immediately turns her purr machine on with just the right scratches to her head and bottom!    Please note that the initial FIV test came back positive for both Ash and her brother but they usually re-test negative at about 4-6 months of age.  Even if positive, this virus is NOT transmissible to humans or dogs and only transmitted to other cats usually in situations where a cat fight results in a bite causing saliva to be passed into the bloodstream.  If adopted prior to 4-6 months, Kitten Rescue will be more than happy to re-test these kittens for the adopting family when that time comes.  Also please note that these kittens are very healthy, eating and playing well, gaining as they should and are not experiencing any health issues at all right now.  In fact, they have had the least issues of all of the litters this foster has taken in thus far.  Ash and her brother will surely bring their new human family much joy and love with their sweet disposition. DOB: 8/5/20 Beautiful Ballona was rescued from the moors of the Ballona Wetlands in Los Angeles,  living near a creek.   Ballona is an extremely intelligent and affectionate girl who understands the words ' birdie' and ' treats' (of course!)  She is very playful and enjoys capturing wand toys and scampering after ping pong balls.  When she needs to rest from her playtime with you, she will let you know by walking away and stretching out for a quick nap.   Did we mention her captivating eyes and bunny soft fur?  And don't forget the pink toe beans and tufted paws, all the better to make 'biscuits!'   Ballona would best thrive in a quiet home where she feels secure and loved. He’s goofy and a bit clumsy, but doesn’t care! He loves all sorts of toys and playtime, just a fun loving guy! DOB: 3/15/18 ***BENTLEY IS POSITIVE FOR THE FELINE LEUKEMIA VIRUS*** Bentley is a huge, goofy, hunk of love that enjoys attention, affection and food, but not necessarily in that order. He likes to be held, cuddled and treated like a baby.  If you’re looking for a furry buddy to keep you company while you watch TV or relax on your couch, Bentley is your guy! Bentley was sweet, affectionate and grateful to be off the street, from the first day he was rescued. He is ready for a forever home that will give him the love and affection he craves and deserves. Bentley can be a bit feisty at times so a home without young children would be ideal. Due to his FeLV status, Bentley needs to be adopted into a single cat household or adopted into a home with other FeLV+ cats. You are invited to meet this big hunk of a guy and see if he is the right fur baby for you. DOB: 6/28/21 These girls are gorgeous....and I think they know it!  Blanca and Zoe were born June 28.  Blanca is mostly a marbleized white/off-white with gray tipped ears and a grey/black striped tail.  Zoe is basically the watercolor version of a calico tabby.  Their mom was pulled from a high kill shelter...she was young and skinny and her foster mom had absolutely no idea she was pregnant, but Blanca and Zoe arrived overnight that first night!  They were a litter of only two, so they have been each other's favorite playmate and snuggle buddy since day one and are bonded.  Right now, they are in the 'bonkers' phase of kittenhood.  They play, play, play with brief naps to break up the action.  On the plus side, there are two of them and they are quite happy keeping each other entertained.  Give each one end of a cat dancer and they will go for hours.  So far, they are more attached to each other than to humans, but that could change with one-on-one attention and snuggles in their forever home (and they certainly don't mind pets and hugs from their foster humans).  These sweet, somewhat crazy, very beautiful girls are now looking for their forever home.  They have lived successfully with other foster cats - kittens and adults - but are untested with dogs and kids. DOB: 12/1/20 Bliss and Bunny are very special girls!  They were rescued from the city shelter with their brother, where they were about to be euthanized. The shelter did not recognize that they had a neurological condition, called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). Kitten Rescue has a lot of experience caring for cats with this condition, so we immediately knew we had to rescue them! CH is a neurological condition where the brain does not develop properly, causing the cat to be wobbly when they walk or sometimes lose balance.Bunny and Bliss have an extremely mild form of CH, so they can to do everything that other cats can do, only they have a very cute wobble when they walk and run. They can easily climb, run,  use the litter box without problem.Bliss is the more social of the sisters and enjoys human company. Bunny is sweet and cuddly once she gets to know you! Both these sisters love to play and romp. They certainly don’t let their condition slow them down, you would never even know that they are any different from the other cat—We think they are purrfect just the way they are! They are currently at our partner Tail Town Cat Cafe in Pasadena (https://tailtowncats.com/), where they’ve made lots of cat and human friends!
