About Magnum

I am a typical 10-year-old, 80+ pound Blue Weim. I enjoy “nooking” in my crate during the day. My foster parents must ensure that the counters are clear due to the fact I like to counter surf while they aren’t or are looking but I am working on that. I find papers and trash very appetizing and will probably eat anything you leave out within my reach. I get super excited when my foster dad comes home and can be very vocal to let him know how happy I am. I also can be vocal when they leave. I do well in my crate when next to my foster brothers and sister, but don’t like to be left alone in the crate.  I need a home with another dog.  I like to wait until my foster dad sits down and stare at him until he lets me have his spot on the couch just so I can sit close to him. I have been known to shut myself in the bathroom while I explore the house. I have a lot of energy for my age but am aware of my smaller siblings but at times can accidently knock them over. With all my energy, I can be a klutz sometimes. I do well with dogs of all sizes and kids, but no cats! I have allergies and must take Apoquel ($212.40- 2-month supply) each day along with a vegetarian diet (Rayne or Royal Canine, 17lb bag 70$).  Yes I am a vegetarian, allergic to meat.  The allergy meds make it to where I need to wear a belly band as it causes some drippage, but this does not bother me. I came into rescue with a bad right ear and must have my ear cleaned every couple day with special drops ($45.00).  I must do bloodwork every six months with a checkup with dermatologist to make sure my ear and allergies are ok. The dermatologist also recommended a special heart guard medicine for me to take that has no protein in it.  Oh and my favorite treat is ice cubes! I’m being fostered in Houston if you are interested in adopting me. ##744106##
