You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Buddy...What a perfect name for this sweet yet stoic little dog.  Buddy found himself in the shelter when his owner moved to a care home because of declining health.  Once acclimated in his foster home, he has shown himself to be the perfect little gentleman, happy to stay close to his people, but not eager to be a lap dog.  As is befitting of his senior status, Buddy can be set in his ways.  No crate for this little guy - don't even think about it.  His self-designated place is sitting next to his favorite people on the couch to watch a baseball game.  He seems to prefer men but is happy to get a head or belly rub from anybody.  Buddy was debarked by his previous owner so his bark sounds more like a dry cough.  At 11 years young he will require certain eye and allergy medications for the remainder of his life.  He is housebroken and walks well on a leash, enjoying greeting new people and other dogs while strolling around the neighborhood.  He is a lovely little dog who will love you with all his heart and make a wonderful companion.  Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Single AdultHi there, I'm Garfield! You might not guess it from my cuddlebug personality but I used to be a big deal in the colony cat scene, scrapping and scavenging to stay on top. It was fun but I'm seven years old now and ready to meet my people and look after them in my forever home. I adore people and will happily snuggle up with you on the couch, in bed, or wherever else I see you. I enjoy all sorts of toys and will even come when called, though I might take a while if I have to wake up first. I'm also very affectionate and will follow you around the house just so we can hang out and I might give you a few headbutts whenever I see you to show my love. I still have a few quirks from when I had to take care of myself that you should know about. I can only really stand being pet on my head and face, I love that but petting me anywhere else can freak me out a little. I also have a minor medical history - one tussle or another left me FIV positive.  I don't think these are a huge deal but I'm just a cat so make sure you ask if you have any concerns. Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.  Indoor homes only. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jessie is a 10 year old, 45 pound female pitbull mix.  Jessie is the sweetest girl! She loves going on neighborhood strolls and walks great on leash, taking time to smell the flowers and say a gentle and friendly hello. She likes to share snacks (peanut butter and apples anyone?), and rides great in the car. She is an amazing companion and loves to be with her people. She tolerates bath time just fine and enjoys her shampoo massage. She will “paw” for more pets and truly believes she is a 45 lb lap dog! She likes to be covered with a blanket for ultimate coziness during nap time. At night she sleeps very soundly in her crate and serenades with her pibble snores.   Jessie is housetrained and will benefit from being kept on a schedule or have regular access to the outdoors. As an older dog, she can not wait all day to do her business.   Jessie currently lives with a cat, but this is not a recommended forever situation. She does have prey drive and stays tethered whenever the cat is in the same area. However, with slow, positive introduction and management, she would likely do well in a home with another dog.   Jessie had a number of small lumps removed from her mammaries at the shelter, so will need to be monitored going forward with regular vet care.   Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less
