The Morris Animal Refuge is a 501(c)(3) shelter dedicated to helping the homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets of the Philadelphia region. Founded in 1874 by Elizabeth Morris, we were the first organization dedicated to sheltering and rehoming pets, and continue that legacy today by providing adoptions, a low-cost spay/neuter program, fostering, humane education and more.
Morris' adoption services cover the Greater Philadelphia/Pennsylvania Region including the tri-state area: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Adoption Instructions
When you adopt an animal, youâre not just saving the life of the animal you adopted. Youâre also opening up space for the next animal in need. Our goal at the Morris Animal Refuge is to approach the adoption process holistically to make the best matches for our adopters and for our animals.
To begin the adoption process, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire so we can get to know more about you:
https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/adoption-form
Once this is done, please allow 7-14 days for us to process your form. Due to an overwhelming amount of inquiries, wait times are longer than usual. You will be contacted via email when your form is processed.
The Morris Animal Refuge reserves the right to refuse any adoption.
