Elmer is an absolute sweetheart who craves attention from his people friends! He is quiet, laid-back, and will show you his belly when he trusts you. Elmer is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) positive, so his immune system is a little weaker than other cats. He should be monitored for secondary illnesses, but otherwise needs to see the vet once a year just like any other cat. FIV+ cats can live normal lives -- both in quality and duration! They cannot pass on FIV to people or dogs, and it is difficult to spread between cats. It can be spread through deep bite wounds, and not through casual contact (sharing bowls, grooming, playing, etc.) so it's important to make sure the cats aren't fighting. London's finder described her as a "lovebug"! We've found that to be extreemmeeely true! London is active for her age and would love an adopter who can keep up with the snuggle-fest. She recently went on a daytrip where she did great in the car and on a hike, and wanted nothing more than to cuddle up with her new friend! Our volunteer reported: "London had fun going on a walk and a hike. She was excited to get in the car every time we drove somewhere. She was calm in the car and was excited to be on walks in Fairmont Park and on a hike... She was so sweet and happy to be pet."
