Hello! My name is Blitz.I am a big, sweet boy, who is need of a strong leader. I am a dopey boy who takes direction well when given properly. The humans here use positive reinforcement and it has been working for me. I have become much better about my bad habits and do not have many left, excpet for greeting you with jumps. This behavior is easily corrected and I learn through consistency. There are a few toys that are my favorite and I LOVE to play with them! I CAN NOT go home with other animals. I must be the only pet. Notes from Shelter Volunteer:Champ is really sweet. I was able to bear hug him and he did great - he wasn`t tense. He has been pretty mellow. Walks well on the leash, non-reactive to dogs in the yard. When he doesn`t know you at first, he will not cooperate with you in returning him back to his kennel. Tail tucked, low posture. Able to leash and take out fine after halfing off kennel, pulls hard on leash, urinates multiple times in courtyard. NOTES FROM SHELTER VOLUNTEERS:Coyote is very sweet, gentle, and LOVES to play fetch!Coyote is a big, smart and loving boy! He is a professional at fetch! I am working on drop it right now. If you have another ball and tell me to drop it, I will! I am really motivated by toys. I am strong but loving. I can be a little jumpy when I am excited but I am very good at listening. I am not interested in the feral cats out back and if toys are involved I do not care about other dogs either. Shelter Volunteer Notes:Cujo is potty trained. Tends to get hot so he will drink a ton of water. He doesn`t like cats. He`s non-reactive to other dogs. He likes to explore when in the yard. Does well on a leash. Since he`s an older dog, there are times when he can be set in his ways (such as not wanting to play). He will do better in a house without small kids that may play rough or antagonize him.Cujo will pull when walking to smell or mark, likes to mark a lot. Will fetch ball but doesn`t like to give it up. Notes From Shelter Volunteers:This petite pittie, Darling, needs some extra time and love. She is not totally comfortable with affection until she trusts you are friendly. She needs to trust you and time will give her that confidence. She gave me a hug today once she trusted me. She is interested in high value treats only! She is pretty independent since she has lived her life that way.
