We're looking for a San Diego County adopter with an active lifestyle who owns their own home with a large, private fenced yard. • Affectionate • Energetic • Alarm barks at strangers • Smart • Aims to please • Great companion • Endearing • Walks well on a leash • Crate trained • Large lapdog • Treat motivated • Fine being left by herself • Loves to play with other dogs but has a very forward play style • Loves playing with the young Doberman in her foster home (see video) • Adores playing with toys (see video) • Has not been around cats while she's been with us so we don't know how she is with them • Children 8 and up • We have not had her long enough to determine whether she's housetrained but we will know more in a week! • Mini Aussiedoodle (Australian Shepherd + Miniature Poodle) • Super soft. So relaxing to pet! • Low to no-shedding • Will require regular grooming. We got her groomed on 2/20/2021. Creme is so tiny and weighs only 6 lbs. Here's what else describes her: • Quiet - never barked in her foster home • Docile • Playful • Loves other dogs and greets them with wagging tail and wiggly butt • Loves playing with other dogs and is the submissive player (see video below) • Timid of humans. Her foster mom picks her up but Creme backs up if approached. (see video hyperlink below) An adopter would need to continue the trust building training her foster mom has provided. Javier is a fully grown adult male Veiled Chameleon. Having a 9 inch long body and a 9 inch long tail he's huge! He is healthy and happy, but like most chameleons, he would prefer not to be held. If you are an experienced chameleon owner and you are willing to give him a large environment to live in with plenty of moisture, UV, and bugs, we would love to hear from you. Tiny and sleek Smokey the "Chiggy" • Velcro dog - follows you around and wants to be with his beloved person • Lapdog • Very loving • Great companion • Energetic • Loves to run at high speed • Adult only home required • No more than two person home. Best in a home with just one. • Very timid of new people especially men • Must have a fenced yard. This is due to his high energy and the fact that strangers make him nervous he's not a dog to walk around in the neighborhood or one to be have to be walked to go potty. Not suited for apartment living. • Just about house trained. Adopters should take him out frequently at first. • Hasn't been with cats under our care so we don't know how he is with them • Lives in a home with birds and doesn't pay attention to them • Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound (IG). Has the sleek body and longer legs of an IG as well as ears that flop over. Has a nose longer than a Chi's but shorter than an IG's. Runs really fast like an IG. Has a personality more like a Chi's. Has a cork screw tail which we have no idea where he got that from. Note: YOU MUST LIVE IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY to adopt Trinity (sorry no exceptions). Meet Trinity, a beautiful 3-year-old female eclectus! Trinity is tame and friendly. She gets along with men, women, and in her last home teenage children played with her frequently. She'll step up, sit on your finger, on your shoulder, in your lap and enjoys being rubbed on her head by humans she knows. She is, however, timid of strangers. Trinity is a talker. She says "hello", "step up", "peek-a-boo" and does the cat call. Her foster mom believes Trinity is saying other words too. Trinity was owned someone who had her since she was very young and then had to move. He couldn't take her with him and that's when we took her in. At times she has been known to make loud sounds like a foghorn. The number of times she makes this noise is now diminishing in her foster homehome; however, we are looking for someone living in a single family home where those foghorn sounds, if she makes them, won't disturb neighbors. If you live in an apartment, townhome, or any place that has a shared wall with your neighbors, please don't apply. We want to set Trinity up for success, not failure by having to be rehomed again. Trinity was the only bird in her previous home and got a whole lot of attention there. Her ideal home is one where she can be the center of attention again. We've had our avian vet examine Trinity and she was found to be healthy. She's had bloodwork, a chemistry panel, and has tested negative for avian chlamydiosis as well as Beak & Feather disease. All her medical paperwork will be provided to her adopter.
