About Frankie

Frankie is another member of our “lowrider” club. This Basset Hound/Pitbull Terrier mix is as sweet as he is energetic. Our sweet Frankie quite enjoys playing with other dogs. He would thrive in a home / environment with another dog. He loves being with, and will be very loyal to “his people”.  This big boy would do best in a home with older children as he just doesn’t know his own strength.  He is active and enjoys exercise and playtime.  If you’re a lover of the great outdoors or like to rack up those miles on your Fitbit, this is the guy for you.  However, as the sun sets and night-time approaches, this sweet boy is ready to snuggle in and call it a day. So be sure to have a bed and blanket ready! As mentioned, Frankie LOVES his humans and he will do best as an only pet. As a side note, he tested positive for heartworms but has already received treatment.  He is on the road to recovery and won’t miss a beat. If Frankie sounds like the perfect buddy for you, complete an application today!

Howdy, fellas. I’m Andy T, and I’m the sheriff in town. Even though I’m only six weeks old, I’m ready to hang up my boots and my badge and enjoy the good life next to you fellas. Being a sheriff all these weeks has kept me busier than a one-legged man in a butt kickin contest, so I’m ready to sit back and be about as useful as a steering wheel on a mule. I was raised these past few weeks by my dear Aunt Bee. I’ve always lived in the south, where we still think sushi is called bait. But I do love the taste of that raw bait. I’ve seen a lot in my days as sheriff of this town. The last cat I arrested was so dumb, he could throw himself on the ground and miss. When I arrested him, he was nervous as a long- tailed cat in a roomful of rocking chairs. Good thing I have enough good sense for the both of us. I think you and I would get along well, so if you want to come down to the SNIPSA station and meet me, I’d be much obliged. So, tick a lock. Time’s a wastin. You don’t want me to get snatched up by someone else, now do ya? Because, to me, it’s clear as the nose on a warthog’s face that we’d make a mighty fine pair. I’ll just sit right here and rest on up until you get here. I’ll see ya’ real soon. Apply to Adopt me today! show less

Ashes, Ashes, Ashes ... we all need a little bit of Ashes in our life! This amazing senior Flat Coated Retriever is simply the best. Don’t mind her grey muzzle - just adds a little character and wisdom. She is perfectly housebroken, knows sit ,down heel, roll over and basic obedience. She is the epitome of well behaved, and is a very big people person. Retrievers aim to please and will do just about anything for food. She walks around the office with ease greeting new folks as they enter the door and retreats for an afternoon nap just as quiet as a mouse. Her tail rarely stops wagging. Ashes did test positive for heartworms and we are in the process of treating her. Don’t let that discourage you as we expect her to do just fine. If you’re looking for a dog to provide companionship and you don’t want to invest a lot in training, consider adopting this rock star. When you adopt an older dog, you will not be able to deny the warm feeling of pride for changing a dog's life. The love you give to this dog is a love it would never have otherwise known. The same goes for the love this dog will return to you in spades. A kind of love that can only take place between a dog and the human that saved its life. Just some of the BENEFITS: 1. You don’t have to start from scratch 2. Older dogs form deep connections with their owners 3. Older dogs have calmer temperaments 4. Older dogs are polite and can accompany you just about anywhere 5. Older dogs have better manners than younger pups 6. Older dogs don’t need your help show less

Well, hello there, my future human. I’m Barney, the deputy sheriff. I say we get to know each other like honey on a biscuit before decide to spend a life together. We don’t want to pick our peaches ‘fore they’re a-fuzzed up and rush into things. Lucky for us, I’m an expert on most things, so ask me anything. What kind of a human am I lookin’ for, you may ask? Well, I know I’m looking for a home that pays a hills bit of attention to me. Now I’m not saying I need someone who will molly coddle me, but a little ear scratch and tummy rub does a Barney good. And that sweet talk just dills my pickle. And don’t listen to what Aunt Bee might say about me. That one could piss off the pope. I tell you, sometimes I think she might be as useless s a screen door on a submarine. And her pickles are nothin’ more than kerosene cucumbers. But her apple pie. Man, oh, man. If you’re looking for a handsome young thing that will keep you grinning like a possum eatin’ a sweet tater, you found ‘em. That would be me. Barney. I’m as lovin’ and loyal as the summer heat is long. And I promise to love you forever. Now, don’t that just clutch ya’? But it’s true. I said it- and I hope you heard it because I don’t chew my cabbage twice. See ya’ soon. I’ll be waitin’. show less
