Animal services is an environmental health program of the community services department designed to promote public health and safety through education, enforcement and legislation. The $85 adoption fee is a great value as it includes over $200 of veterinary services including heartworm testing for dogs over 6 months of age, feline leukemia testing for cats over 6 months of age, sterilization, rabies and selected vaccinations, microchip, and a free veterinarian exam at participating vet clinics.
