‼FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP‼ This beautiful babe is Aphrodite! 😍She came into the shelter with her brother, Hercules (separate post). She is 3 1/2 years young. Her previous home kept her as an outside dog, so she is looking for a loving family who can give her a new life! It would be best if she was the only animal in the house until she has become acclimated to her new environment, unless she could go home with her brother! 😉 Right now, because of the nature of kennel life, she is in isolation after catching kennel cough, 😪 but is expected to make a full recovery! ❤She is super friendly with the shelter staff and even knows how to sit! Until she is out of isolation, the staff won’t be able to assess her with other dogs. Once she is released from isolation, we should have more information from the shelter and will update accordingly! Please help us get sweet Aphrodite into a safe, loving forever home! Bosley is a 1 year-old tri-color pit/lab who is looking to be somebody’s best friend. He is the friendliest and happiest dog in the world. Bosley currently has a great home and used to go to work with his human mom every day, but unfortunately there are now new rules in place that prevent him from coming to work with her. It is a difficult decision for her to make, but would prefer that Bosley be with someone that can provide him a more suitable lifestyle than being home alone all day, which is not fair to any dog, especially a puppy. Bosley is a wonderful dog, loves every single human he meets, loves kids and would like to find a new human that lives an active lifestyle that Bosley could join. When it comes to humans, he has never met a human he doesn't like. Bosley needs to be the only dog in the home, so he will not be placed in a home with other dogs. While he is not reactive and doesn’t lunge at other dogs on the leash, he has displayed signs of not always playing well with others and has shown signs of aggression with his older doggy sibling. Therefore, he will do best as an only dog. Although he loves cats, he plays rough as he is still young and most cats tend to not favor his style of playing. He is e-collar trained, loves swimming, going for jogs, knows how to sit, stay, come, down, etc ... Bosley is still a puppy, so he is high energy. If you are looking for a slow, calm, minimal energy dog, Bosley is not the right match for you. If you are looking for a dog that loves to go for jogs, will play fetch as long as you let him, will go on road trips, camping, etc, Bosley would be perfect, since he has done all of these things with his mom! While he wouldn’t make the best guard dog (he’s kind of a wimp), he has made his home feel very safe by barking when necessary and doing his best to play the part. Meet uber-handsome 7 year-old Buck! 😍 Buck is a rescue favorite who is sadly returning to us for the second time. Sometimes despite everyone’s best efforts, it’s just not the right fit, so we’re determined to find his perfect match and make this his LAST forever home. 💙 Buck loves people and does well with large, submissive, dog-friendly female dogs. 🐶 Cats, small dogs and animals, and babies are a no-go for Buck 🚫 but he does amazing with older kids (12+)! His favorite pastimes are chewing on bones and toys, playing ball, and goofing off outside. He is very mellow when at home and likes to lay his head down on his foster dad’s lap. Hello everyone! My name is Etta and I am a sweet loving 8 year-old Pittie! My name is Etta and I listen pretty well when my name is called. I’ve had plenty of experience with puppies of my own. Because of this, I am very CARING of my 2 ½ year old foster brother Dallas. He and I gently play together a few times a day, often times playing tug-o-war with the toys, which I am perfectly fine with sharing. If I am done playing before Dallas is, I gently start to tell him I’m over him and may even voice it a little bit, but never get aggressive. I LOVE to sleep on my fluffy bed next to my foster mom while she works during the day. We have a routine down to where if I get up, I typically need to go pee and as long as she listens, I don’t have any accidents in the house. Plus, I have a nice size yard to play in and get lots of exercise there. Walks are great too and will typically listen when told to ignore something, but I do get excited when I see someone or another pup that I want to play with. So, I am working on that! I also love my 17 year-old human foster brother. He will play with me and pet me and let me give him all kinds of kisses! We all usually have play time outside in the evening til we are all pooped out. I even like to lay on my Human Foster Brother and sit on his lap. I don’t get on the couch or beds unless you ask me to. When its bedtime, I will go into my crate no problem and sleep there through the night. It’s nice and cozy! Oh, I also love to go on car rides! We go at least once or twice per day. Starbucks trips for puppaccinos are my FAVORITE! I will climb up into the car no problem, but sometimes need assistance with getting out. I do have a tumor on my back leg, which will be getting removed in August. It doesn’t really bother me much, but it does get in the way of things. For the most part, I’m a pretty chill girl that loves to be by my foster mom’s side. I do bark a bit when I hear noises outside that indicates someone might be there, but I just want to make sure everyone is safe! Other than that, I do howl and bark a little when I want attention or when she leaves me at home, but will eventually settle down. I am looking forward to meeting you and getting my forever home! ‼FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP‼ This precious face is Gaia. ❤ Gaia is about 6 or 7 years-young and she has become too active for her current living situation! She needs a loving family where she can be the only dog and be given all the exercise! 🐾 Gaia is forever smiling and always happy. 😍She is strong and energetic and would do great at dog agility. She would like to find an active family that would help her expend her energy throughout the day! And, OMG, she bounces when she runs. Gaia had a ruff start to her life, as she was found on the streets in Los Angeles, but that did not stop her from enjoying life to the fullest!! She is easy to please, especially with food. Her current owners call her the canine ping pong because she can bounce high, especially when she knows her food is coming! She knows commands well and can sit, down, drop, jump and roll. She is never full and her soulful green eyes will make you believe anything. She loves watching sunsets when the day is coming to an end! Even though Gaia prefers to be the only dog, she does seem to be ok with male dogs and smaller dogs, after proper introductions of course! She has been living with her sister, but unfortunately they are having their differences. She has gotten along well with other dogs she has met. She also has lived with cats before and got along just fine! 🐱 Harleigh is kennel trained, but loves being wherever her human is, especially outside! 🐾She has not been around too many kids, but the ones she has met, she has done well with. *FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP* This boy with the handsome profile is Harley. 💙Although we currently only have this one picture of him, we can still tell that he’s a looker! 😍 Harley is about 2 ½ years-old and his dad, sadly, passed away recently. 😔 Harley is now in need of a new home and we’re hoping to help him find just that! Harley has been staying with his late dad’s friends, but they have no experience with dogs and realize that they’re just not the right home for him. Hey friends! I'm Hercules! I recently found my way from the streets into this shelter. ⛺The wonderful people from the rescue were kind enough to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster mom. Even though I am still learning to be gentle and that I am bigger than I think, I love all humans! But I do prefer the older ones, teenagers and older that is, because I don't realize that I am super strong 💪😉. I always show when I am excited because I have a cute wiggly butt and I shake it like a Polaroid picture! I do love going for walks and I am also getting better every time about listening to the human walking with me. After my initial excitement of the walk, I will be right with you! Sometimes I will jump up and I use whatever I can to get your attention, but I am working on that too, because I am a big guy and I am being told not all humans like a giant lap dog! I do also tend to be vocal when I'm playing, but I'm just so excited 😊 and I want you to know that! I know how to sit and I know down, I also like getting treats when I do things right! But I prefer if you set the treat on the ground or toss it my way! When I meet new dogs, I like to learn a LOT about them, so I do need help learning how to meet new dogs properly. Can you help me do that? I love them, but I think because I am big, I kind of scare them a little bit. 😅 Please help us get Hercules into a safe, loving forever home! 🆘 ADOPTER OR FOSTER NEEDED ASAP - needs exit by MARCH 4TH!!! 🆘 This uber-handsome boy is 2 year-old Jasper! Jasper is in desperate need of a hero and we only have until MARCH 4TH to find them. 🙏 Shelter staff noticed blood in Jasper’s urine when he arrived and upon further inspection, they found that it’s likely a result of an enlarged and inflamed prostate. The cause of his enlarged prostate is currently unknown and he seems happy and healthy otherwise, but we all know that animals with medical concerns do not last long in shelter environments, 💔 so we need to get him out ASAP! Jasper is a total cutie pie and loves showing off his red dinosaur! Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have had much prior training or attention from wherever he came from, ☹so he gets super excited when he gets the chance to see people and the stress of the shelter is making him highly excitable around dogs. Due to his medical issues, proper dog intros haven’t been done yet, but the shelter feels that he’d do best in a home without small children or other animals until he decompresses and/or can be evaluated by a trainer outside of the shelter environment. 💙 Please please PLEASE help Jasper! Hello everyone! My name is Kenny and am a SUPER handsome stud! I wound up at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility because sadly my human family decided they no longer wanted to care for me. I’m not sure why, since I would never abandon them! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My foster is still getting to know me, but I have settled in quite nicely since arriving home. Below is a little bit more about me: • I’m approximately 9 years old. • Weigh in at a svelte 90 pounds. • Overall my demeanor is quite calm and I’m very well behaved. • LOVE people and am a crowd favorite whenever I’m out in public! • Enjoy nothing more than spending time with my foster family and soaking up their AFFECTION! I will cry if we are not together. Who would have thought that a big guy like me would? • GREAT with all dogs, big and small. This pretty girl is 3 year-old Leona. Leona’s currently at the shelter and needs to be pulled before her time runs out. 😔 If we can find a committed foster, adopter, or financial sponsor, we can save Leona’s life...please help us help her! 🙏 Leona came into the shelter as a stray in August after getting into an altercation with another dog. We don’t know the circumstances surrounding the altercation but, sadly no one came forward for her. 💔 She’s a bit shy and under socialized, so she’ll need a loving, patient and understanding family to give her the care and support she deserves. Puma is a 3-year-old stud muffin! After being adopted a few months ago, Puma was, sadly, returned to us. Since being adopted and then returned to us, his confidence has taken a pretty major hit, making him very nervous and untrusting of strangers. We don’t know much about what happened during his 2 month-long adoption, but we do know that he endured several significant and stressful changes in a very short time and learned that to deal with scary situations, he can be scary himself to back people off. Puma is NOT aggressive and he doesn’t want to hurt anyone; he just needs to re-learn how to cope and relax in uncomfortable situations. His current foster is doing an AMAZING job helping Puma and we’re confident that with continued training and the right family, Puma will be back to his happy-go-lucky self in no time! We just have to find a patient, loving family willing to put in the effort that Puma deserves to get him there. Puma LOVES balls! He’ll fetch and even drop the ball for you. He also tears toys apart, but won’t eat the stuffing. He goes into his crate with no issues, especially when you tell him to “hit the hay” and once he warms up to you, he LOVES to cuddle and give kisses! One of his favorite things is to have his belly rubbed. Please help us get sweet Puma into a safe, loving forever home! *FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP* This handsome gentleman is Roscoe! 💙 Roscoe is 8 years-young and his family has to move and sadly, can't take this cutie with them. 😔 Roscoe is now in need of a new home and we’re hoping to help him find just that! Roscoe is very very spoiled. He prefers to sleep with someone, which he has done since a puppy, but he does have 2 wonderful comfortable beds that he likes and will use if that is necessary. He snores 😴 when he is in deep sleep. He also enjoys walks and car rides and he likes to play ball and fetch. ⚾️💕 He gives himself a pedicure when his nails get too long. Roscoe LOVES the water. He enjoys going swimming in pools and ponds! He also enjoys digging himself a hole to lay in and sun himself, but he prefers to stay in the a/c! He loves to lay on a couch and snuggle while humans watch TV, but he doesn't realize he is not a lap dog, since he has always been around small dogs (Chihuahua and Pug). He is house trained and will always let you know when he needs to go out! He loves kids and is very helpful with the kids, if they cry or do something they are not supposed to be doing he will pace or come nudge your hand! He has been around kids since they were babies, they are now 11 and 4 and he just loves them, but he does need to be careful, as he doesn't realize he is a big dog. Although he has gotten along with the little dogs, he is getting older and prefers to be the only dog! He does seem to have some food sensitivity, but adding in a small amount of pumpkin seems to help. His current diet is Victor Hi performance, which has helped keep his coat shiny! So if he needs to change his food, it should be done carefully and slowly! Please help us get Roscoe into a safe, loving forever home! Meet Roscoe. Roscoe is a big gorgeous stud! This boy is handsome, affectionate, will greet you with hugs and kisses and is very people friendly. Roscoe has made such huge improvements since arriving at his foster home. When they first got him, he was skin and bones and barely knew how to walk due to living in a crate most of his life. Roscoe had major skin issues and infections all over his body. He was also afraid of being left alone and would cry. Today, he's gained 20lbs and struts around like he owns the place =) He is goofy and expressive and always wants to be with the family, lounging on the couch and eating snacks. He currently lives with two small dogs and another Pitbull, but is getting more selective with time, so would be best for him to be the only dog in the home. He still has some separation anxiety though and would love someone who is patient and can continue to work on his crate training. His favorite game is fetch and he can't say no to a tennis ball! Unlike the other dogs, he's not into soft squeaky toys. However, his rubber bone is good too! He's a wonderful dog that needs the love and security of the perfect family. Hoping that is yours!
