About Tipper

Tipper’s life was recently upended when his lifelong owner died. This sweet, loving boy is a very youthful 11 years. He is friendly with new people and bonds quickly with them, accepting pats and being held, and giving kisses. Tipper is best suited to life in a calm, adult household where he will receive lots of attention and cuddles, regular brushing, go for walks and have his own back yard to explore. At just over 14 lbs, Tipper is the perfect lap dog. He needs to be the only fur baby since he has been under-socialized with dogs.

Echo is a sweet and gentle loving boy, 3 years of age. He has never met a person he does not love. He is a great house pet, enjoys belly rubs, snuggles and resting his head on your lap. His favorite toy is the tennis ball though he will chew them up in time. Echo knows some basic commands (sit, kennel, and is working on down and stay). Since Echo is recovering from a spinal infection which had caused him some spine and neck pain, he will need extra work on leash walking, as he's been staying indoors most of the time. He is starting to go out for short controlled walks and has exhibited some reactivity to other dogs on walks, so will need some professional training with dog socialization and leash walking. He is still on multiple medications which will be ongoing for a few months, and a follow up checkup is due in mid January to confirm his long term prognosis. As Echo is loving to his people and wishes to please, good training and consistent practice following training should be a success. His best fit home will include a private yard with sufficient fencing/gating (minimum 6 ft tall), experienced large breed dog owners, and a willingness to work through loving discipline to round out his already wonderful self. Older children over 14 in the home would be fine, and he should be the only pet. Echo has not been cat tested yet. He is crate trained. show less

SPECIAL NEEDS Tiny Goosie was abandoned on the side of the road by her family who no longer wanted her, and now a happy new life has sprouted. Goosie is looking for a calm, stable home where she can settle into a routine, and enjoy her golden years with someone who is home all or most of the time, and with special needs dog experience with ability to make her their priority. She should be the only dog in the home as she guards her food an may lash out at other dogs but she very much enjoys the company of cats. She is house trained but may have accidents due to her age and medications. Her age-related health challenges have improved through prescription diet, supplements and medications (arthritis, early stage renal disease, liver imbalance, tooth tartar, heart murmur) - she remains a feisty girl despite deafness, blindness in the left and partial sight in the right eye. She enjoys short 10-20 minute walks but due to limited mobility needs to be carried for curbs, stairs and uneven terrain as she may stumble and fall. She loves cuddling and napping with her people when it suits her, playing with her toys, and her treats! Riding in a crate or carrier in the car is best and helps to calm her during short drives (which she finds stressful).
