Friendly, cuddly, playful, and chatty, it's like someone just clicked all of the boxes when making him!   *Blimpie has tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV), which causes a weakened immune system.  FeLV cats have shorter lifespans than other kitties, but don't  require medication or daily treatment. With a caring home and attentive person who can catch any early signs of illness, FeLV cats will live perfectly normal, happy lives.  That's not an earthquake, that is Butter's purrs! This petite, bouncy, special needs kitten is a sweet hearted starlet who loves playtime and attention! She is very social with humans, and loves to follow them from room to room. Her favorite snuggle pose is the "floating otter" snuggle, where she lies on her back and stretches out along your leg. Butter previously lived in a foster home with cats, and she wants an animal friend to keep her company, as long as they respect her space (her limited vision can make her nervous when meeting animal friends who are too rough with her). She loves pouncing on toys and climbing tall cat trees, and she is safe in doing so, despite her visual impairment. Butter would love to join a home with adults-only or older children who will be gentle with her. SPECIAL NEEDS: LIMITED VISION. Butter came to PAWS with a terrible eye infection and eye ulcers. Luckily, PAWS was able to stabilize her eyes, but they will always have a cloudy appearance, meaning Butter cannot see as well as a normal kitty. This does not get Butter down at all, as she gets around easily, uses the litter box well, and is a nearly normal kitten!  Born to a feral mother in someone's backyard, what can be more rockstar of a start than that? Freddie Mercury is ready to sing his praises to the lucky person looking to be his best friend that is also able to manage the rest of his career as a your personal mewsician, so we're happy to do our part in trying to find him somebody to love! This sweet and affectionate lad was born to love you! **Freddie is currently being treated for ringworm and will need to have that treatment continued in his adoptive home (PAWS will be able to provide some of that, you will just need to be available to make as many trips as needed back to the clinic during prearranged hours as well as providing that at home). He is also only available for adoption under our Pre-Adopt Program since he can't be neutered until his ringworm is officially cleared. That program is just an extra approval beyond the normal application approval process.  Why, we do believe there is gold in them darn purrs! Our Gold Dust is about to cause a rush out west (well, southwest Philly to be precise) with those sparkling eyes and the treasure trove of perfection he truly is! While he was found stray, Gold Dust is definitely used to the comforts of home and could potentially live around other cats, dogs, and kids if given the chance and proper intro! He is more reserved and not a fan or being here in the shelter, but during the brief time he got to spend with his finder before coming back to PAWS he was much more outgoing, playful, and affectionate!  Happy Heidi is a spirited gal! Young at heart and full of pep, Heidi loves to play with her mice toys, sunbathe for hours, and birdwatch.  Heidi is a high spirited kitty ready for a forever home for the holidays. She's also a great cuddle companion! Heidi is a confident gal and would love to be the only kitty in her new family. We aren't sure how she feels about dogs yet.  This active girl can get a bit overstimulated, so she would love a family who is knowledgeable about feisty cat behaviors. If you can be patient with her and give her a chance to shine, we know you'll fall in love with her sassy, affectionate self!  Age: ~8 years old  How I came to PAWS: Surrendered to the local Philly shelter after 8 years with the same family due to a few middle-aged lady aches and pains.
