Acer is a sweet, goofy, smart, playful, and very laid back guy. He seems so happy to be in a loving foster home. At first, he was very hesitant to engage with us. He seemed to be trying to figure out who was who, and what we wanted from him. It was like he was afraid he might make a mistake, and we would be angry with him. We suspect he may have had a very tough life, where he was not treated with kindness and love. Little by little, he has realized that nobody will hurt him or be angry at him for making a mistake. As he has learned to trust us, we can tell that Acer wants so much to be a loyal family dog. Right now, we are continuing to work with Acer to learn how to live happily and confidently with a family. When we take him out into the yard, he will leap and run in the most playful way, but then he is quick to run right back to us when it is time to go in. Also, as his confidence grows, we can tell he is ready for training, and seems to really want to learn. He has a few toys that he shows some interest in, but he is still working on understanding how it feels to have his own toys to play with. Acer seems to love children. He is currently in a house with a 10 year old boy, and Acer really likes to go outside and play with him. show less

Ariba is a beautiful, confident female. She is smart and also very affectionate and loving. Ariba bonds very quickly and settles in very nicely. She loves to play ball and teases the resident male. Ariba wants to be the alpha and needs to go into a home with either no other dogs or males only. Ariba did not have leash manners when she first came to her foster home and has improved daily, but she will need continued training. Come meet this girl. She won’t last long. show less

Bruno Boy has a pending adoption! Bruno Boy's foster Mom says he's the best foster dog ever! He's a little on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you - he's solid muscle. He loves to run and play with his two GSD foster siblings, and the 12 year old boy. He even lives with 3 cats in his foster home! He completely ignores two of them (who are very calm older cats), but wants to chase the one who hisses at him and runs away because he thinks it's a game (that cat is not amused by this game at all!). Bruno is the most loving and affectionate dog in the house. He loves to curl up on the sofa with his foster Mom and watch TV, and lays his head in her lap for pets when she is at the computer. He's a big snuggler! Bruno Boy is house trained (no accidents at all!), rides very well in the car, takes treats gently, and loves to go for walks. He pulls on the leash for about the first 5 minutes because he's so excited, but then calms down and walks well on a leash. He is working on learning commands like "sit" and "stay", but always comes when you call him. He is kennel trained, but doesn't like it too much, and will sometimes bark (especially at night). His foster Mom has started just leaving him out at night, and there have been no problems or accidents! He just curls up on his dog bed and sleeps through the night. He is a bit of a begger when his foster family sits down to dinner, so he goes in the kennel to prevent that. Bruno Boy is now looking for his forever home, could that be you? Additional information:Very good with calm cats - totally ignores them. Not so great with mean cats who hiss and run - wants to chase them because he thinks it's a game. show less

Bubba Lars has a pending adoption! Bubba Lars is a beautiful, smart, bi-colored German Shepherd. He is a super friendly guy who is enjoying the good life now with his foster family. He absolutely LOVES to play and cuddle. He likes toys and will even throw his toys to himself if his people are busy. He enjoys going on adventures in the car, and playing with his 3 GSD foster siblings. Bubba Lars is house trained, leash trained, and very well mannered. Draco has a pending adoption! Draco is a playful, sweet, and goofy dog who is still a puppy at heart. His love of balls and squeaky toys is only surpassed by how excited he gets about car rides. Draco is your typical intelligent GSD with a decent vocabulary. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows his basic commands (sit, down, stay, kennel) and is currently working on place and heel. He has a high food drive which makes training easier. Draco is a high-energy dog and would do best with a family with previous GSD experience. Additionally, Draco is instinctually very protective of his home and will need consistent training to advance his socialization and indoor manners. show less

Hazel is an exotic looking girl, with her distinct sable markings. She was raised with dogs, cats and children before coming to rescue. She loves to play with her two male GSD housemates as is politely curious with the other dogs at the house. As is normal for her age, she's active and loves to chase and be silly. She is house and crate trained but she will complain about being crated. Hazel is a talker, not necessarily barking but she has an extensive vocal range to voice her happiness, boredom, displeasure and any other emotion she feels. When Hazel first came to her foster home she was terrified, she didn't trust the human. She quickly relaxed around the dogs and in less than 48 hours she was asking for affection and not running away from her foster. It will take someone with patience to realize that Hazel needs a little time to adjust and to trust. After all, in her mind, she was left by those she trusted. If given the chance, she blossoms into a very funny and happy girl. She loves to be petted and talked to and enjoys hanging with her human and canine pack. She would do best in a home with other dogs who will help her relax and settle in faster. Hazel has so much potential and is such a sweet and fun girl, she deserves a loving and active family for her own. show less

Hi! My name is Jericho. I am a sweet boy who loves people, and cuddling on the couch with my head on my foster mom's lap. That's my favorite! I also get along well with my GSD foster siblings, although sometimes they do not want to play quite as much as I do. I recently lost one of my back legs, but that has not slowed me down one bit! I am fully healed and moving around great. Hope to meet you soon! Mandi is a beautiful female German Shepherd. She is a very smart playful girl who walks well on a leash and is good with kids. She loves to chase balls, and run and play with the other GSDs in her foster home. She is a bossy female who prefers to play with the big male dogs, but is warming up to the other female in the house. Mandi is house trained and kennel trained (but not overly fond of being in the kennel). She rides well in the car, and likes snuggling with her foster parents. Max Bo has a pending adoption! Max Bo is a tall handsome boy who has a great loving personality. He weighs in probably around 70 pounds and he could use some more groceries. He has huge paws and light coloring, is house trained and uses a dog door in his foster home. Max Bo learned the dog door all by himself in one day, he is wicked smart. This dog loves to cuddle and will climb in your lap and push against you for ear rubs, belly rubs or to gently kiss your face. Having had a rough life, he has a few scars to prove it. But you would never know as he has such a sweet disposition. He is crate trained and is learning to walk well on a leash. His bad habit is counter surfing and because he is so tall, he can reach far. Starved for a long time he is just constantly hungry. His foster parents say he is a very easy dog. Max Bo is now looking for his forever home, could that be you? show less

Sophie Belle is a very smart dog who LOVES to play fetch! She knows sit, down, place, shake, can close doors, speak, can target and play dead (Bang). She is crate trained, and house trained. She is extremely high drive and suffers from separation anxiety as well as storm anxiety. She will do best in a home where the owners are active and can take her along for the ride. She loves to go on a daily run! She is great on a leash, and with people, but doesn't like to have other dogs in her space. She is skittish of the unknown and sometimes scared of loud noises, so she needs lots of love and patience. When it rains, she will go to her kennel. She gets CBD oil 30 minutes before storms and she will remain calm. She will play fetch until you can't throw anymore. Sophie Belle is a gorgeous dog, just looking for the right family. show less
