We all had an interesting 2020 but Ali certainly had a difficult one. She and her 6 siblings recently had their lives turned upside down when their owner fell ill and could no longer care for them. Still adjusting to her new situation, Ali is reeling from that change and unsure in new situations. However, after a few weeks, you need only to sit with her for a bit to see her sweet nature. As she begins to trust you, she enjoys gentle pets and offers of treats. Ali enjoys the company of other cats and is not active. She would like a peaceful home where she can feel secure. A patient person will be greatly rewarded by building a relationship of love and trust with Ali.  Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped.   show less

Charlie and Ollie are friendly, bonded brothers. They are good with dogs, children, and other cats. Unfortunately, their newest baby human sister is very allergic to cats. Charlie has occasional seasons which his veterinarian says does not require any ongoing medication. He is very friendly and social. Ollie has a limp from an old injury but also does not require any medication. He's quiet and very cuddly. These brothers would like to find a home together. Charlie and Ollie are vaccinated, neutered, and have always lived indoors. Meet this big hunka burnin love! Elvis is king of cuddles and loves hist treats. In the daytime he prefers solo gigs but if you entice him, he will play for you. When he is excited and happy, he will move his tail and roll his body to show you his belly and purring out loud. What tops the charts for Elvis? Brushing! Help him stay happy and handsome by brushing his soft fur. Despite being named for a famous crooner, he is pretty quiet. His hidden talent is catching toys! Consider this larger than life superstar! Elvis tested positive for FIV, which may cause a weakening of a cat’s immune system. FIV+ cats can live normal, long, healthy and happy lives. Frankie has a resilience and zeal for life that will capture your heart. She is so much more than her origin story but to understand where she is today, we have to acknowledge how far she has come. Frankie was shot with a pellet gun and some of the pellet fragments were lodged into her spine. Despite great efforts and surgery, Frankie remains semi-paralyzed in her back legs. She is undergoing daily physical therapy to stimulate her muscles, which she enjoys and cooperates with, especially if treats are involved.  Despite her therapy, it is likely she will never walk normally again. This does not slow Frankie down in the least! Wind up a toy and watch Frankie go go go! She zips around with the zoomies like any cat, and chases toys and shadows like a pro. Frankie likes to join her foster Mom on the couch or climb up into her cat tree. Nothing stops this adventurer! Except maybe bedtime with her person, she loves to share the bed or couch.    Caring for Frankie requires some experience with cats. She will need to continue her low-level physical therapy routine. Frankie can't totally control when she pees or poops. To prevent leakage and to avoid clean-up, her bladder is expressed three times a day. Any potential adopter will need to understand, learn and commit to properly caring for Frankie's needs while understanding they may change in the future. Frankie eats out of a slow feeder to help keep her weight at a healthy level.  Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. This trio of garden cats would be happy hunting and lounging in a cozy backyard. The tuxedo and tortoiseshell are girls, and the all black cutie is a boy. They are not social with people or suitable to live indoors, but they work, live, and add a bit of whimsy to your life outside. They are great hunters. These three were TNR'd as kittens in October of 2019, and have been living along with a few other cats in a backyard since then. There are quite a few cats in this yard, as well as indoor cats in the home, and so we're hoping these three can continue to live and hunt outdoors in a new forever-yard. In the past, they have run away from a small dog and may do better in a yard with no dogs.   These three cats are not owned by The Dancing Cat. Havana is a very sweet older male Russian Blue mix. He is a stray in a residential neighborhood in Martinez, the north-east bay area. He's calm, talkative, and very friendly. He stays by his humans' side for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He doesn't stray far and it is always easy to find him. No one knows his history. People say he has been around for a long time with no home. Neighbors who know him and feed him would like to see him find a forever home where he can live out his senior years. Havana might prefer to be an only pet, as he does not get along well with other cats, and his caretakers don't believe he would enjoy dogs. This has prevented him from being adopted by a few families in the area. He once went to the veterinarian to have a scratch cleaned, and after that he lived indoors for a little while to heal. He used his litter box with no problem.  He is looking for an indoor retirement, but may appreciate a catio outdoor option.  Havana is not owned by The Dancing Cat. Iris is a gorgeous girl with a heart even more beautiful. Her long fur commands attention and her green eyes mesmerize. Beyond being a stunner she is sweet and interested in people. If you want a gentle companion who will stay near you once she acclimates, this is the cat for you. Iris struggles a bit with change and needs plenty of time to acclimate to a new space. Iris would thrive in a quiet home and she may be happiest as your only pet.  Iris does not use a litter box, this is a behavior that despite much effort has not resolved. In the distant past she has used a litter box but will not use one anymore. Kelly is a total catch for a family or multi-person home looking for a fun-loving and engaging kitty! He's very brave and social. Kelly will even fall asleep in your arms if he's not in a playful mood. Kelly is always curious about his surroundings and new people, every day is an adventure for him! He is very high energy and requires a lot of play, at least 2-3 times a day in 20 minute sessions. Luckily he will knock out afterwards! He is very food and treat motivated. He will follow you around the house and love to be involved in everything you are doing, especially if he can "help" by laying on anything you are working on. During the day, especially afternoon, he might nap on the chair right by you, on the floor, on the carpet, etc. At night, Kelly might choose to nap on the blanket by your bed, or just under your bed. He loves chin and cheek rubs! Sometimes he will gently reach out and pull your hand to his face for pets. Kelly loves to play in the morning (10am-12pm) and evening (7-11pm). He gets the zoomies in these two periods and might jump and run in circles in your apartment/house. So please be prepared for a high-energy cat and play with him for some time to make sure he gets enough play! Kelly has a dog-like personality and doesn’t stay in one place for too long. Kelly can over-stimulate at times and bite hands when he has a lot of energy, this is something you have to work with him on. Kitkat is a sweet independent cat who likes to get cheek rubs and pets, but most definitely on her terms. She and her feline roommates recently had their lives turned upside down when their owner fell ill and could no longer care for them. Still adjusting to her new situation, Kitkat is a bit unsure. However, you need only to sit with her for a bit to see her sweet nature.The adopter will need to be very patient and let Kitkat come to them. Kitkat loves to chase wand toys and is very fast. She might be interested in other non-dominant cats but still a bit fearful.  Kitkat is underweight and has a condition better known as "Pillow Paws," and while this is resolving she needs some minor care in the process. She has a tendency to sit with her right front paw elevated. That particular paw has 2 open lacerations on it. They have a tendency to heal and then re open so they do seem to still be sore for her. The other paws are still swollen but not as bad. Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped.   Hi! My name is Marley! I am a strikingly beautiful gal with a soft coat and pretty green eyes.  When my foster mom's house is on the quiet side, I  am very social, wanting to be around my people ,  but I'm not  usually  interested in being held and I like being pet on my own terms (like when I'm sleepy). I love it when my foster mom lays on her bed  or sits on the kitchen bench  so I can lay near her and sometimes even on her legs. I'm super quiet and only meow when I'm hungry.    I love to play, especially with the laser light and crazy cat plastic circles. I often carry the plastic circles in my mouth and let them fall down the stairs so I can chase after them. Currently I'm living with a dog which is fine, as long as they give me space, but I absolutely must live with another kitty because I like to pal around, play, and cuddle.    I would prefer a calm mellow human or two who  likes having a kitty follow them around and who wants to hang out and chill.
