Blue is a staff favorite who needs an experienced and committed adopter to give him his furever home. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows some commands. He is very strong on the leash but very gentle the rest of the time. Blue is fantastic with people but he needs to be the only pet in a home with no children. He is dog-selective and tenses up meeting new dogs so he will need to kept from socializing with other dogs. He needs a life with just his humans. He is not a barker but will let you know when someone is at your door. He absolutely loves car rides and long hikes where he can just quietly watch the outside world go by. Because of this, he would benefit from someone with an active lifestyle. He loves zoomies and cuddles and has the loudest snore you'll ever hear. Blue will need an experienced adopter and continued training. show less

Cane is a very loving, very playful 1 year old lab mix. We suspect he's got some fear of other dogs and he exhibits this with some intense reactive behavior. He is learning how to properly walk on a leash and to listen to commands. He will need an experienced adopter who can continue to work with him and teach him how to be around other dogs. Training sessions through Doggie Style Pets University will be included in his adoption fee. He needs a home with a private yard and fence where he can safely work out his energy away from other dogs. He will be a great hiking companion and absolutely loves long walks but will need to be kept away from heavily dog-populated areas. He needs to be the only pet in the home. Chappy is a southern sweetheart who came to PA without ever knowing what it's like to be in a home or walk on a leash. He is fearful of other dogs and exhibits this as hyperactive reactivity. He is very high energy and LOVES people. He will need continued leash training and a home with prior dog experience. He needs a home with a fenced yard where he can run around and expel all his energy. He will need a long time adjusting to a home and may not do well in the city sound where there is a lot of noise and too many dogs on the sidewalks. George is a big boy in need of an active home that has a big yard or will take him on plenty of long walks. He is a gentleman on the leash and just wants some human attention. He is vocal in the shelter environment because he knows he doesn't belong here. He should be in a home with lots of love to give and experience with discipline. He resource guards super high value items - specifically bones - so will need continued training and an adopter with patience and knowledge. He has not shown any guarding with other items like food, treats or toys but will need to learn to keep up this behavior and not transfer his protectiveness of bones to other items. Stella is an active 4 year old with a heart of gold. She loves hugs, treats, toys and walks but needs some training with the leash. She does not like when walks are over and is not a fan of her leash being removed so she will need continued leash training after adoption. She would benefit from an adopter with an active lifestyle who can take her on runs and long hikes to get her energy out. She is a little possessive of toys so will need an experienced adopter who knows how to work with slight resource guarding. She knows some commands and will be a great companion for someone dedicated to her growth and learning. show less
