You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bio: Sweet 9 lb. Hope was found as a stray in early November 2020. She was extremely underweight and the shelter staff fell in love with her because she is truly a sweet girl. And, who can resist her huge, brown, soulful eyes? All she needed was a warm foster home, loving care, and lots of chow. We are happy to see that she has gained weight and flourished in foster care. She is an easy-to-love dog with a calm demeanor, and she gets along well with other dogs. Quiet is her middle name and napping is her game! When she is not curled up in her oval bed, she likes to quietly explore the house or the backyard and check out what's going on. She enjoys a little walk each day, but she does not demand it. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is Kona and you're probably very lucky to meet me. I think I'm around 3 years old and have the softest tortoiseshell coat you've ever pet. I can be a little shy at first in new places and situations, but with a little love and a couple of cans of cat food I'm able to warm up and start exploring. I can be very chatty at times and will happily chirp whenever I see you, think about food, or have questions about the nature of reality. I'm pretty content to keep to myself a lot of the time, catching up on my beauty rest or enjoying the view from a window but I definitely enjoy playing with my feather toy or just batting around whatever happens to be nearby. I also love sitting near my foster parents while they are on the computer.   Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated, and microchipped.  Indoor homes only. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say hello to this dapper young man, Master (Bruce) Wayne! Named for his beautiful long-haired tux, and dashing bowtie collar, this boy is all dressed up and ready to dazzle his new owners. Bruce is an exceptionally outgoing cat - he loves affection and isn't afraid to curl up on you. He loves belly rubs, rolling around in his cat tree, and seeking out a high place to take a nap. He does well with people, children, and other pets (after a brief introduction period). Master Wayne was rescued as a kitten last year but wound up back in our care after developing a severe food allergy. He is currently receiving treatment and has made a great recovery. He requires a strict diet so he may not be suited for homes with other pets who free-feed. He currently requires medication daily, but doesn't notice anything slipped into his food ;) making for one of the easiest cats to medicate we've ever seen! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Persephone is a beautiful tortie with an outgoing personality and is very affectionate. She is super playful and destroyed her feather toy already within the first couple of hours with her vicious pouncing! Persephone isn't one for sitting on laps because she has more important cat business and hunting to do, but she will often lie next to her fosters as she loves being near human, especially after a good play session. Whenever her fosters walk into the room she’s in, Persephone bombards her fosters with excited meows and starts rubbing up against them. You’d think that her head would be hurting from all the headbutting, but no... she will butt and prance forever (or at least until a toy starts moving) Persephone already knows exactly where to scratch, how to use the litterbox and has a healthy appetite. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Available Soon!Rosie is a 12 pound, 15 year old Chihuahua mix. Rosie is the definition of cute companion pup! Everyone who meets her loves her. She loves kids and being around groups of people, especially when everyone is petting her. She walks very well on the leash and will keep up during short walks. After walks she will usually want to eat a little food, drink some water, and take a nap. When she sleeps, she makes cute little snoring noises. Rosie has an ADORABLY CUTE, granny howl and will use it if she's lonely/looking for you. For the most part, she sleeps and keeps to herself. She will eat a breakfast AND dinner and has a healthy appetite, but she typically sleeps through breakfast. She may eat a bit too quickly, but a slow feed insert slows her down enough to enjoy her food. She prefers wet and dry food mixed together, and will refuse dry food by itself. When it's warm outside, she prefers to be outdoors soaking up the sun. When it's colder, Rosie loves to lounge around indoors and when she does go outside she enjoys wearing a warm jacket. She is pee-pad trained, but because she cannot see well, it is important to keep things around her in as consistent a place as possible, otherwise she becomes a little confused. Rosie LOVES her bed. It is her safe place and her happy place. She will wander off of it a little bit and will say "hello" to you, then make her way back to her place. Rosie also LOVES blankets. One of her most endearing qualities is how she can get herself tucked in underneath a blanket. Every now and then, she will howl because her blanket needs resetting. If you put the blanket on top of her, she will spin around and lay back down. At night, keeping her contained with her pee pads ensures that she can do her business and stay safe. Because she doesn't see well, new people can introduce themselves by allowing Rosie to sniff their hand before they pet her. She is also startled by fast moving shadows. Car rides can be challenging, so she does best if she is crated and covered when in the car. Rosie requires little grooming and has learned to stay in the tub when she's getting bathed. She needs to be dried with a hairdryer and prefers low-heat settings. It's also important to clean all areas of her body to prevent skin infections. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.A Warrior Princess!Sage is a feisty and adventurous young lady! She is affectionate and social with both people and other pets. Sage loves to be the center of attention - whether you are wrapping presents, baking, or even running errands (she loves a good car ride!). She is the last of her litter of six to be adopted and has been raised by humans since she was just a few days old - meaning she is more than ready to be your new best buddy! Sage has a mild medical condition which is treated by using an upright feeder - but don't worry, her feeder will come with her :)    More about Sage's story: Sage was brought to the San Jose animal shelter with her 5 brothers and sisters when they were just a few days old. SVPP was able to rescue the entire litter and have them raised together in foster care. Sage has always been the runt of the litter, but her large personality more than made up for her size! She didn't let her brothers and sisters bully her around!  When she was a few months old, her foster mom noticed she wasn't growing quite as fast as her siblings, and a few vet visits later she was diagnosed with mega-esophagus, a condition that made it difficult for her to eat.  Once she started receiving treatment, she began thriving and has since grown up to be a normal kitten. She is no longer receiving medication and her condition has almost completely gone away.
