Canary A223553 Canary is a 3 year old spayed female who came into the shelter on 12/25/20 as a stray. Handling: https://youtu.be/SgMYsL9Sb9k Canary, much like her namesake, is a little gal who, well, sings! This girl makes her presence known. She’s a pocket pittie and a total goofball. Canary is friendly and outgoing and loves everyone she meets. She seems young and still has some puppy-like behaviors (she can be mouthy), but will respond to correction. She will occasionally show off her ‘sit’ for a treat but what she really wants is to wiggle and wiggle some more, and soak up all of the love and attention you can give her. Canary walks well on leash and is easy in and out of her kennel (she’ll sometimes cry when her person walks away!). She’s a fun and spunky little gal who is sure to provide lots of entertainment for her new family! show less

King A223428 King is an 8 year old neutered male who came into the shelter on 12/18/20 as an owner surrender. The first few days he did a lot of owner searching whenever he was outside. He doesn’t pitch a fit in his kennel going back in but can be a little shy at first coming out with leashing. It was clear he wanted out and was willing to engage just hesitant with new people in a scary new place. King has great leash manners in the yard. He doesn’t even pull hard to the fence to owner search. King was fine doing his own thing but eventually was persuaded to sit for treats. He takes them gently and allowed light petting. Poor buddy flinches whenever we go to pet him though. After a few days King gave us some tail wags but remains pretty low energy. show less

She is so bewildered by the shelter environment. Not sure how she got here or why she is here. We have spent time with her over the past week since age arrived at the shelter and can see it will take a little more time for her to trust us. She is easy to leash up and take outside-she has learned the routine! When she sees the volunteer with treats and a leash approach her kennel she knows that mean it’s her turn and she is ready!! Outside she keeps to herself coming close enough to ask for more treats but staring deeply into your eyes and making quiet snort sounds-that means “I would like more treats please”. Nora spends most of her time sniffing the perimeter of the play yard and will often watch trucks as they park nearby-I imagine she is thinking to herself “are they here for me ?” She misses someone and seems quite well cared for. Soon we know she will trust us at the shelter and see we only want the best for her. Give her a few days and she will blossom!! We love her don’t you?? show less

He came in skinny and sad. Owner surrenders either shutdown right away or a few days in after being in the shelter sets in. Tazz definitely was still blissfully unaware when we had him out the first day. He was so happy to receive attention from people giving him yummy treats for just being himself. Tazz sits on command and allows all over handling. For being so skinny he is particular about what he puts in his body, no basic treats for this guy. When he wanted more treats he did the cutest butt scoot closer but not being too invasive in our personal space. Tazz wags his tail like he means it too. Tazz LOVES toys and is amazing at fetch. He brings the ball back and drops on command. He’s happy to self-entertain with toys and when you want some attention from him, he’s happy to let you rub his belly. show less
