About Titus von Tannenbaum
Titus von Tannenbaum is a beautiful, 12 month-old Shepherd mix. Titus is a charismatic athlete, built for strength and endurance so, when he leans up against you, he really leans up against you, waiting for his full-body massage. For a big boy, he is remarkably relaxed once the initial excitement wears off. On leash and when meeting new canine team members, his enthusiasm requires some correction (pre-game talk!), but just a little coaching will do and he has his game plan down. To Titus there is no âIâ in team and he does enjoy his pack and human friends, protecting their blindside. (But he's a no for cats.) Off leash in playgroups, Titus is relaxed and greets male and female dogs with a wagging tail and an invitation to join in sport. This social and friendly guy wins the MVP title as he displays camaraderie, eagerness to please and readiness to take his position on the squad. So when you come down to the rescue, âRemember the Titansââ¦. or rather âRemember the Titus.â IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Titus von Tannenbaum YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION AT OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
