About Benny

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Important: We're a small (but mighty!) volunteer-run organization. To be considered for one of our adoptable animals, you must first submit an application at stfrancisanimal.org. Due the high volume of applications we recieve, we can't guarantee we'll respond to each one. A volunteer will contact you within 72 hours if we think you might be a match.   ___ I'm Benny, a young chihuahua mix. My foster humans say I'm a big dog in a small dog's body. I guess the big dog in my foster home has rubbed off on me -- I'm just a quiet, mellow guy who likes naps, snuggles, and toys.  I like both big and small dogs...I live in a foster home with both, but the big one is my bestie. Which reminds me, I'd love to have a doggie friend in my new home. Though, I'd also do fine on my own. Also, I like big and small humans. Though, it can take me some time to warm up to new people, and I prefer older kids. I'd do best in a home with kids over age 10 who are good with small, young animals.  I'm still just a puppy, so I'm not potty trained yet, but I use potty pads. Though, the rescue humans are big advocates for crate training so dogs learn to go outside. I'm hoping to find humans who will teach me that and more.  Have some extra time to snuggle, some tug toys, and a cozy place for me? I can't wait to meet you! Benny is fixed, chipped, deflead, dewormed and has received DAPP and rabies vaccines. His tax-deductible adoption fee is $450.
