A delicate flower, Agnes is very, very shy and will need much nurturing, from afar, to start. She loves her hiding spots, whether under a bathroom cabinet or your couch. She is very receptive to cheek, head and under-the-chin scritches, which rev her purring engines -- but you MUST start slow and woo her with a soft toy before you touch her with your hand. When granted her privacy, with a closed door between your domain and hers, she emerges to eat and use the litterbox, and to enjoy resting on a comfy bed outside her hiding place. But as soon as you open the door to her space, she will scoot back into hiding. Other than wanting to remain hidden, Agnes does not exhibit signs of fear (such as hissing or flattened ears). An experienced cat whisperer who enjoys watching a flower unfold verrry slowly will make the best mom for Agnes. Her foster hasn't had her for long and is already noticing Agnes coming out of her shell more and more (especially for feather toys). show less

Anna is a kind-hearted kitty with a fearful outlook on the world that she is open to overcoming. She has made progress in the short time her foster has had her and would work best with someone who is willing to continue changing this stunning mocha colored sweetheart’s life for the better. She’s not a cuddler or lover of being pet (yet) but she is starting to come around to being okay with you around in close proximity and would love playing with string toys with you! Also occasionally chasing laser pointers. In case you were looking for your nightlife to be more exciting, look no further – Anna is a night owl party animal. With time and continued trust building she’ll hopefully become comfortable being more active during the day instead if that’s what you’d prefer.  Since she does scratch when scared, Anna is not recommended for a home with small children until she’s fully come out of her shell. show less

Barney Greengrass and Balthazar are two of the sweetest kittens! These boys are very timid at first and are in need of a patient cat parent(s) who will give them the time they need to show how loving and confident they really are.  Barney will show you how brave he is especially when his favorite toys are involved. His silly cat antics will keep you entertained as he tumbles after a ball or his brother. He certainly is the more outgoing of the two. But don’t be surprised when the very shy Balthazar appears for some yummy treats. These are the key to his heart. Once Balthazar is comfortable, he will ask for all the loving pets and hope to cuddle right next to or on top of you. I think he will grow into the perfect lap cat.  These gentle boys are very affectionate when they are sleepy and boisterous when feeling playful. The sound of some guitar or music with bass will make them curl up together. They absolutely love their afternoon naps and will be even happier if their human joins them. These two cats are bonded and must be adopted together -- applications for just one of them will not be processed. Because of their timid nature, their fosters believe these kittens would do best in a home without a dog or young children. Please note that they may not yet be spayed/neutered -- their adoption fee may be higher to cover their surgeries. show less

Barolo is a lively and active kitten. She is scared at first, but once she warms up to you she loves your attention. She’ll cuddle with you at night and she purrs when you pet her. Beautiful Girl is a young girl and very tiny with an incredibly smooth fur coat and a gorgeous tail. She is an independent kitty who likes to be alone sometimes but also likes to be given attention. She will definitely come running to you if you make kissing sounds to see what you’re up to. She is almost always in the mood for a few head scratches. If you put your hand down she’ll rub her head against it in such an affectionate way! And she makes the funniest little face when she gets her head scratches because two or three of her teeth are out while she rubs the side of her head against your hand. Though she took a few days to warm up to her foster, she now follows her around the apartment sometimes, chasing after her whether it’s to the kitchen or to the bathroom. She has become very curious about what goes on in the bathroom and has started to wait right outside the bathroom while her foster showers. Sometimes she pokes her head in and says hello and runs back out! She loves cozying up in tiny, hiding spots. Being with Beautiful Girl is like constantly playing a game of hide and seek! You may find her on top of your fridge, behind your dresser, or snuggled underneath your bed covers! But she also likes attention and will accept it in the form of pets and really small quick kisses on her head! She also loves to get really close to your face when you pet her and give you a big ol sniff, almost like a boop! If you’re watching TV on the couch, Beautiful Girl will come say hello and curl up on the couch near you or if you’re lucky maybe even behind the pillow you’re using. But beware that Beautiful Girl has got personality and likes to be given attention on her terms. Don’t pick her up unless you want to hear the cutest, tiniest, little hiss you’ve ever heard. Beautiful Girl loves shrimp and any delicious smelling human foods. She will march right up to you and sit on your lap and get all up in your face asking for a small bite!  Beautiful Girl needs to be adopted with a friend -- applications for them as a single cat will not be answered. show less

Benny and Jet are two sweet boys who had a bit of a rough start as part of a feral colony. At first they’re timid and will prefer calm households, but once they feel safe they’re lovers at heart. Benny is a big, super mellow tabby who loves lounging and getting a good scratch around his ears, under his chin, and on his booty. He’s slightly hard of hearing so may jump with sudden movement, but once he sees a friendly hand he leans in and purrs loudly.  Jet starts off a little nervous but you’ll catch him exploring around and coming out of his shell with a little time. He’s a skinny little guy who likes to curl up on something soft and has quite the appetite (where does all that food go?). On rare occasions, his rambunctious side comes out and he rubs up on your hands demanding more scratches - most of the time he’s attentive, mellow and likes the occasional soft head petting. show less

Big Papa is a petite brown tabby with a wide nose and regal face. He is a sweety and settled in quickly in his foster home, sleeping beside his foster-human at night after only one day. Big Papa likes attention and is nimble and curious to explore, but is pretty laid back and currently spends most of his time between meals sleeping (so far he prefers wet food with shredded bits the best). As he gets more comfortable he will probably need some guidance from his adopter on which tables and closets he is allowed to jump on/explore. When he wants attention he can get chatty. He has a raspy little meow, and a cute snore. This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.   show less

Boris is a small, frisky tuxedo cat who loves attention, any time, all the time! When he sees you he’ll excitedly wriggle around on his back to request belly rubs, or throw himself down against your feet or lap. While you pet him he’ll roll around and rub himself against you. Boris also loves to play, and will never turn down an opportunity to do so. His main toy is the fishing rod, which we keep wedged between two couch cushions. Boris shakes the fishing pole with his paws, and then gets up and attacks the toy on the end! Sometimes he gets dramatic and will meow loudly if he can’t find you, or if you wake him at night, but on the whole he sleeps through the night without fuss. Aside from accidentally knocking things over as he attempts to clobber you with his affection, Boris is well behaved and stays out of trouble! show less

Brooklyn and Lenny are adorable brothers three years apart. They love to cuddle together and groom each other.  Brooklyn is about 5 years old, and he is quite friendly and outgoing. He would come to you in the morning to ask for food, even jump on your bed to get your attention. Although not a lap cat, he always loves to be pet even by strangers. In the rare occasion in which he doesn’t want to interact, the easiest solution would be to pet Lenny and he would come over on his own because he is that jealous. Lenny is the shy one between the two. He's about 8 years old and he can be quite cautious and sensitive in a new environment, but with some time and patience, he will slowly warm up to you. Although he sometimes hisses at you when you come close, he actually quite enjoys being pet especially on the chin. Lenny is FIV positive. Cats that have the Feline Leukemia virus can live normal and healthy lives when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exam -- we're happy to discuss this more with you! Charlotte is a very demure and lovely lady cat seeking a patient and kind human to pass the days and give lots of rubdowns, preferably someone without small children. Charlotte is a shy and elegant calico with one orange and one black eyepatch who needs a little time to warm up to new humans, but once you gain her trust she is all purrs and cuddles. Give her a couple of days (or a week) of privacy behind the bathroom sink and she’ll slowly come out of her shell. Charlotte does not like to be picked up and is much happier if you meet her down on her level. A calm demeanor, persistent love, and a few belly rubs while she eats are the keys to making Charlotte feel comfortable.  Charlotte is an expert at flight (we’re talking lightning speed) and hiding, with some of her favorite safe spots being under the desk, on the windowsill, or in her Amazon box cave. After securing the scene, Charlotte is an avid explorer, but make sure not to sneak up on her or back to hiding she will go! She is always sure to finish her meals and never complains about taking medicine, especially if it’s followed by some behind the ear scratches. Charlotte may engage in a little game of hard to get (figuratively and literally), but given time, she will come around on her own terms.  This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat. show less

Cherry and Fudge are absolutely delicious! They are incredibly affectionate, snuggly, and playful. These gorgeous tabbies are incredibly friendly, curious, and are ready to be loved and love you all day long. They know when to let their foster mom do her work on her laptop or have Zoom meetings and when to cuddle up close for some evening TV watching (they're currently really into detective shows). Fudge Marble (male) loves to snuggle with his foster mom and is playful and affectionate. He loves his siblings and enjoys playing ball and leaping around with them when he's not cuddled up alongside one for a nap. He regularly appears on his foster mom’s work Zoom meetings, lightening the mood and offering a welcome photobomb. Cherry Garcia (female) the littlest of the Ice Creams, is pure love. She, along with her siblings, will all form a cuddle pile on their foster mom and Ms. Garcia will snuggle up in the crook of her neck purring away. As her siblings will try to leap frog over her to find the optimal snuggle place, little Cherry holds tight to her chosen spot. She’s playful and curious and gets along with all of her siblings so would be happy to be adopted with any one of them or all three. The Ice Cream Kitties foster mom is having trouble letting go of them as they bring her so much joy, always open to being loved whenever she needs a work break or needs to destress from the day. This crew is pure love all the time. They must be adopted in pairs. show less

Chiquita might seem very shy at first, but this fluffy lady opens up very quickly and once she does, she’s an extremely sweet and affectionate lap cat in the making. She loves to headbutt for pets, rub herself on your legs, and sit on or next to you. In fact, she seems perfectly content to just do that all day - neither food- nor play-motivated, she just wants pets and scritches and snuggles. She’s not overly needy though, and is perfectly comfortable retreating to her favorite spots if you don’t pay attention to her. Chiquita does startle easily with loud noises and will hide at the first sign of strangers - she’s not a fan of being near any action - but she just as easily forgets what she’s scared about if her foster is there to coax her out. She recognizes the sound of her foster’s voice and will usually come if called, and has an almost dog-like tendency to sit at the foot of her person’s chair to “guard” them while they’re working. This extremely fluffy, extremely friendly lady has a ton of affection to give, and would be great in a calm home where she feels comfortable doing exactly that! This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat. show less

Coco is one classy kitty looking for her forever home! This low-maintenance lady is happiest when she’s lounging on a cold wood floor or sitting in the window watching for birds. She may not be much of an athlete, but a laser pointer or her catnip rainbow will really get her going if the mood is right! Even her favorite treat is simple: Coco loves a top-off of fresh, cold tap water in her bowl whenever you’re in the kitchen, and she sure loves to let you know, rubbing all over your legs and chatting! Food-wise, she’s a bit more finicky, and strongly prefers wet food to dry, but one crack of the can will send her running in from any other room of the house. She goes ga-ga for chin scritches and head rub, but she isn’t a full-body rubs kind of cat, and will let you know when she’s had enough.  Overall, she’s a sweet, easy-going cat who would do well in a home where she might have some alone time.  show less

Connor is an adorable tuxedo cat with the greenest eyes you’ll ever see! Not a mischievous cat, so definitely low maintenance, but plenty curious and will make you laugh with his personality. Loves to curl up in sinks, smell new things, and look out the window while perched on his cute little paws. A little shy when you first meet him, but will have no trouble coming up to you when you tempt with treats or food! Connor adores curling up with other cats and definitely needs to be adopted into a home with another cat (of any age) or we can pair him up with a pal! Connor has a  Mouth   on  the  Mend  -- he was rescued with dental issues and is in need of surgery. In lieu of an adoption fee, we are asking for a donation towards his necessary vet bills and we’d be happy to talk more about this. Cookie and Muffin are adorable tabby brothers who are a bit shy at first, but with some patience and treats, they will warm up to their humans. They were playing interactively with their foster within a day. Besides playing, they love to explore, snack, watch birds outside and nap the day away. After a few days with his foster, Cookie was ready for cuddles and chin scratches. He is very brave and loves to explore. He is always the first one to the food bowl. With some snacks and interactive play, Cookie quickly becomes a love bug, flopping next to his foster and waiting for pats and belly rubs.  Muffin takes a little longer to warm up, but makes great strides in just a few days. He lets his foster pet him and is brave enough to eat snacks from her hand. He loves to play interactively with his foster mom and a feather toy. Muffin is usually very busy checking on what his brother is up to.  Cookie and Muffin are not just brothers, they are also best friends.
