*ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP* This little cutie pie is 2 year-old Almond Butter. Sweet Almond has a history with the shelter and while the staff love him to pieces, everyone is dying to see him in a forever home, especially since he’s now starting to show signs of kennel stress. ☹ Almond has lots of energy and if you have gaps in your fences, he’ll be sure to find them for you, 🙈 so an active family with a secure yard would be ideal for this little athlete! He even does well with dogs outside of the stressful shelter environment! 🐶 Here’s what his loving fans at the shelter have to say about Almond: “Almond is high energy and like a lot of pibbles, he’s never missed gym day! 💪 He knows basic commands and is pretty obedient; someone taught him some manners along the way. 😇 He loves play time in the outside yards and can't get enough of chasing and retrieving tennis balls...it’s like he’s trying to tell the world that he is a lab mix; he loves chasing balls, retrieving them, and dropping them without being told to do so. He waits patiently while his handler picks up the ball and then chases it again as soon as the handler tosses it. He’s basically a pro at fetch. ⚾ Almond walks well on leash, but it really helps to have him on an easy-walk harness to slow him down. He’s pretty calm in his kennel unless nature is calling...then he makes it really clear that he needs to go out for a potty break!” Please help us get sweet Almond into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. ***FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP*** Hi, my name is Berry! 🐶 I’m 5 years-old and have lived almost my entire life tied up to a 3 foot chain that has left a permanent scar on my neck. 😔Every year I had to endure the cold and hot weather without any protection from the elements. Life has been rough, but I finally got a break when my owner died. Unfortunately, that was short-lived because the people that took me in didn’t have the patience I needed to adjust from living on a chain my whole life. I heard them talk about euthanizing me, but instead I landed in the shelter where I was even more terrified and confined for two weeks in a 2x4 cell. 💔 Luckily, Passion for Pitties came to my rescue. I’m now finally getting a chance at a great life and the guidance I need to finally find a loving home. 💕 I’m currently staying in a boarding facility and a P4P volunteer comes by often to take me on walks. I really enjoy being out on walks and receiving treats but I would love it even more if I had my own loving family and home to come back to. Can you please consider giving me a chance? 😇 Please help us get sweet Berry into a safe, loving forever home! Meet uber-handsome 7 year-old Buck! 😍 Buck is a rescue favorite who is sadly returning to us for the second time. Sometimes despite everyone’s best efforts, it’s just not the right fit, so we’re determined to find his perfect match and make this his LAST forever home. 💙 Buck loves people and does well with large, submissive, dog-friendly female dogs. 🐶 Cats, small dogs and animals, and babies are a no-go for Buck 🚫 but he does amazing with older kids (12+)! His favorite pastimes are chewing on bones and toys, playing ball, and goofing off outside. He is very mellow when at home and likes to lay his head down on his foster dad’s lap. He sleeps right through the night without any fuss. He knows all his basic commands and is potty-trained and crate-trained. Thank you in advance for your interest in our Buck! Please help us get Buck into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Meet Charlotte! Charlotte is always happy, with kisses and tail wags for all. She is affectionate with everyone and just wants to be by your side. Charlotte always has a smile on her face and is looking for an adventure with you. - She looks like a big pup but shrunken size! At just 38 lbs and under 2 feet tall, Charlotte is a pup on the smaller side meaning she will fit perfectly in anywhere. Your lap included! We believe Charlotte to be a bulldog/boston terrier, baja border terrier and pitbull mix but all of it adds up to a loving happy ball of good times. - Charlotte has a great energy level, always up for play and settles when it is time to relax. She is very friendly gets along well with other dogs, loves people, and would probably do great with cats. This cutie is smart, learns commands quickly, is house and crate trained, and walks great on a leash! This pup is the whole package! The dog park and fiesta island are her favorite places while car rides and playing with soft squeaky toys are her favorite activities. Hello everyone! My name is Etta and I am a sweet loving 8 year-old Pittie! My name is Etta and I listen pretty well when my name is called. I’ve had plenty of experience with puppies of my own. Because of this, I am very CARING of my 2 ½ year old foster brother Dallas. He and I gently play together a few times a day, often times playing tug-o-war with the toys, which I am perfectly fine with sharing. If I am done playing before Dallas is, I gently start to tell him I’m over him and may even voice it a little bit, but never get aggressive. I LOVE to sleep on my fluffy bed next to my foster mom while she works during the day. We have a routine down to where if I get up, I typically need to go pee and as long as she listens, I don’t have any accidents in the house. Plus, I have a nice size yard to play in and get lots of exercise there. Walks are great too and will typically listen when told to ignore something, but I do get excited when I see someone or another pup that I want to play with. So, I am working on that! I also love my 17 year-old human foster brother. He will play with me and pet me and let me give him all kinds of kisses! We all usually have play time outside in the evening til we are all pooped out. I even like to lay on my Human Foster Brother and sit on his lap. I don’t get on the couch or beds unless you ask me to. When its bedtime, I will go into my crate no problem and sleep there through the night. It’s nice and cozy! Oh, I also love to go on car rides! We go at least once or twice per day. Starbucks trips for puppaccinos are my FAVORITE! I will climb up into the car no problem, but sometimes need assistance with getting out. I do have a tumor on my back leg, which will be getting removed in August. It doesn’t really bother me much, but it does get in the way of things. For the most part, I’m a pretty chill girl that loves to be by my foster mom’s side. I do bark a bit when I hear noises outside that indicates someone might be there, but I just want to make sure everyone is safe! Other than that, I do howl and bark a little when I want attention or when she leaves me at home, but will eventually settle down. I am looking forward to meeting you and getting my forever home! Hey friends! I'm Hercules! I recently found my way from the streets into this shelter. ⛺The wonderful people from the rescue were kind enough to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster mom. Even though I am still learning to be gentle and that I am bigger than I think, I love all humans! But I do prefer the older ones, teenagers and older that is, because I don't realize that I am super strong 💪😉. I always show when I am excited because I have a cute wiggly butt and I shake it like a Polaroid picture! I do love going for walks and I am also getting better every time about listening to the human walking with me. After my initial excitement of the walk, I will be right with you! Sometimes I will jump up and I use whatever I can to get your attention, but I am working on that too, because I am a big guy and I am being told not all humans like a giant lap dog! I do also tend to be vocal when I'm playing, but I'm just so excited 😊 and I want you to know that! I know how to sit and I know down, I also like getting treats when I do things right! But I prefer if you set the treat on the ground or toss it my way! When I meet new dogs, I like to learn a LOT about them, so I do need help learning how to meet new dogs properly. Can you help me do that? I love them, but I think because I am big, I kind of scare them a little bit. 😅 Please help us get Hercules into a safe, loving forever home! Hello everyone! My name is Kenny and am a SUPER handsome stud! I wound up at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility because sadly my human family decided they no longer wanted to care for me. I’m not sure why, since I would never abandon them! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My foster is still getting to know me, but I have settled in quite nicely since arriving home. Below is a little bit more about me: • I’m approximately 9 years old. • Weigh in at a svelte 90 pounds. • Overall my demeanor is quite calm and I’m very well behaved. • LOVE people and am a crowd favorite whenever I’m out in public! • Enjoy nothing more than spending time with my foster family and soaking up their AFFECTION! I will cry if we are not together. Who would have thought that a big guy like me would? • GREAT with all dogs, big and small. However, don’t like it when bigger dogs show aggression towards me. • I’m adventurous and always up for a car ride! • Going for walks is another favorite activity. • Am potty-trained and know some basic commands like “sit” and “down/off.” Also know “go to bed.”:) Please help us get sweet Kenny into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. *FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP; contact info below* This handsome stud muffin is 4 year-old Mars. Mars has been in the shelter since October and his mental health is deteriorating. ☹ Unfortunately for Mars, due to whatever traumas he experienced in the past, he’s reactive towards animals (including dogs) and unknown people, which is making it very difficult for the shelter to find him a home. 💔 However, he has been working with a trainer and is doing much better with dogs. The shelter staff love Mars and know that in the right home and with continued training, he’ll finally be given the chance to truly thrive! Please help us get Mars the exposure he needs to find the perfect #foreverhome. 💕 Mars would do best in a calm household with no other animals or young children. He’ll need a patient, understanding family who has experience with strong dogs. Mars is crate/kennel-trained, potty-trained and loves car rides and going for walks on quiet trails. He’s been exposed to clicker and e-collar training and is very food-motivated. Mars just needs a chance in a real home with a real family. 💙 Please help us find Mars the home he deserves before it’s too late. 🙏 If you have any questions and/or would like to meet Mars, please contact the Humane Society of Central Arizona in Payson, AZ at 928-474-5590 or online at http://humanesocietycentralaz.org/. ❤ show less
