DOB: 8/15/19 Allegra is a beautiful girl that loves head and chin rubs. She is a pretty mellow girl that likes to perch on the cat tree and bask in the sun or curl up beside her foster mom while she watches TV or takes a nap.  Allegra is a bit shy when she meets new people but she is not a skittish girl...unless you move the vacuum cleaner too close to her.  The fastest way to earn Allegra’s trust is through her tummy - she loves to eat wet food and yummy treats like shredded chicken.  If you want a friendly, loving kitty that likes attention but is not too needy, Allegra is your girl!  You are invited to meet the beautiful Allegra and see if she is the right kitty for you. DOB: 6/14/20 Angelica is a very sweet and extremely playful little girl who absolutely loves affection and kisses. She is a very social kitten and loves to wrestle with her five siblings  (Aliena, Ajax, Audrey, Aemelia and Antonio) who are all named after Shakespeare characters.  She has an extremely unique and beautiful pattern on her body and a golden hue which is why her foster mom named her Angelica (like an angel).  Angelica also knows her nicknames Angie or Gigi.  She is bonded with her sister Aliena (ID# B742) or can be adopted with any of her other siblings.  Angelica has lived with a dog sister and will be great with a dog sibling after being introduced gently.  If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting her, please click here to email her foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. DOB: 3/23/2018 & 4/17/2020 Babka and Spatchka are a mom and daughter pair rescued out of a palm tree in someone’s backyard. They are extremely affectionate, loving girls who cuddle and play together constantly. Both of them purr on contact, and love being picked up and cuddled. Babka (the mom) gets along with mild mannered cats but is very bad with dogs. Spatchka (the daughter) gets along with absolutely everyone. We don’t know anything about Babka’s background, but judging from her attitude towards food, we can surmise that she was taught survival skills from a bunch of raccoons living in a dumpster. This otherwise mild mannered and dainty lady becomes a fiend in the presence of food, so one might want to either be careful eating around her or be willing to share. She’s not picky; at her current foster home, she has helped herself to grilled zucchini, almond croissants, pizza, French fries, and other things not normally found in the feline diet. Maybe she’ll grow out of it over time, but if not, her foster parents want her future adopters to always remember that sharing is caring. These two cats had it pretty rough when they were fending for themselves on the street, but are an absolutely wonderful pair who will liven up any home. DOB: 4/1/20 Basil is an active, curious and fun teenage kitty who is full of surprises. She is a sleek and soft tabby gal with who loves to explore, play and climb on her cat tree, and chase any feather wands you want to wave for her. She and her siblings spent their early months outside, though fully socialized, they have more developed hunt and play instincts than more sheltered kittens, and sometimes play more roughly than others. When it's time to relax, Basil enjoys finding a comfy spot on her cat tree or near you on a bed or couch to curl up and enjoy pets and snuggles.   Basil loves to run, chase and wrestle with her kitty friends. She tends to take an alpha position in a group, and would need to be paired with a buddy who understands her energy. She is also highly entertained by self-stimulus toys and can bat a ball track back and forth off and on all day. She is fully box-trained and on a very healthy grain-free wet diet. Since Basil and her siblings have a unique play style, they'd probably do best in pairs since they understand each other best. Her siblings are Oregano, Valentino and Sumac.   See what Basil and her friends are up to on Instagram: @manzanita_pants If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting her, please click here to email her foster parent. DOB: 7/23/20 Beanie is a cute little nugget that is curious and sweet. She is also playful and loves to wrestle and entertain herself with cat toys. Her 2 siblings were adopted so she has enlisted her mom, Jill (CF9678), to be her playmate, and when she is in the mood Jill is happy to oblige. Beanie likes to follow her foster mom around the house like a little shadow, and she likes to explore and be adventurous.  This cute little black panther can be adopted into a home with another friendly cat or she can be adopted together with her mom, if you want a package deal.  If you want to meet Beanie (and her mom), their foster mom is happy to arrange a meeting. DOB: 6/30/20 Birch and Walnut were found with their mom and siblings on a busy four-lane street corner in Burbank, when they came crawling out of some shrubs just after midnight. It is a miracle that they were not killed, and local residents said that this was the mom’s third litter. Now the entire family has been spayed or neutered, and enjoying life in their foster home until they can be adopted. Birch is a sweetheart and the pack leader. He loves to catch things and hide them, and has the loudest purr you have every heard. His sister Walnut is scrappy. She isn’t scared of anything, and will sit right by the vacuum cleaner while the rest of her family hides. She loves being held and playing with wands and automated toys. She and Birch are very closely bonded and always sleep and play together, and must be adopted together. Both Birch and Walnut are good with other cats, are pros with the litterbox and use their scratching posts. They have never been around dogs or small children. DOB: 9/10/20 Blades came to her foster family as one of five kittens with her Mama, all very healthy and active.  She is a feisty little girl with a lot of curiosity and eagerness to check things out.  She is not only very playful but also a skillful climber/jumper as she will use her spidercat powers to climb up her foster mom's legs to get her attention.  She is often found in different hiding spots she has found to nap in.  She is also super affectionate and loves her time on laps.  She even enjoys conversation as she will meow at you to get your attention!  She is also a foodie and loves to eat her wet food but knows to self regulate even when dry food is out all day long.    She has only been around cats and older kids/teens in the foster home but no other animals - although with her outgoing personality, we do not see an issue should she get a sibling who is different from her.  However, (given her age) it would be ideal for her to be adopted out with another sibling as they all seem very bonded to each other (see pic).  You always see them cuddled together for their naps (no matter how small the bed or blanket insisting that they all fit).  She will surely be a very loved addition to any forever family! DOB: 12/31/15 A whole lotta chonky kitty love for those of you who like to have a lot of kitty to love. Boo Radley, a tad shy at first, but warms up and then will roll around to show you his big belly and enjoy being pet. Boo is the kind of kitty that other shy cats are drawn to, and somehow he helps them calm down. One of those cats is Blade, who likes to hang out with him in his enclosure. Maybe someone would like Boo and Blade together?   Boo is FIV+.FIV+ kitties can have the same expected life span as non FIV kitties, as long as they are kept inside and are well looked after. FIV is not a big deal. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. Click here for a basic FAQ about FIV. If you'd like to read a much more detailed and comprehensive FAQ about FIV, we recommend this site.
