What waddles, wags it's tail and barks? It's me, Lefty! I'm a unique combination of Bassett Hound and Catahoula Leopard Dog, weighing in at 40 lbs and am 2 years old. I'm a "low rider", which comes with being a Bassett Hound and I have a white speck in my eye-that's the Catahoula in me. Speaking of that speck, it's in my left eye which is where I got my name Lefty from! My foster says I'm silly, affectionate, active and full of life! I'm a friendly guy who loves people and other doggos! I love to play and have fun, which makes sense since I am an upbeat, high energy pup!If I could wave a magic wand and pick out my perfect furever people, I'd like it if they lived in a house with a fenced-in back yard, no apartments, please. My owners should have experience with other dogs and will continue to provide structure for me. I'd prefer to be roommates with older kiddos, since I can be a bit rambunctious, being a youngster myself. Oh and I'd love another fur-friend in the house to play with me! You probably have a wishlist of your own and will be glad to know that I am potty trained, am good on a leash, and I sleep in my crate every night! I take treats nicely and already know commands like "sit" and "leave it". With your help I know I can learn even more! Excited to learn more about me? Contact Paws In The City today! show less

Hi there! Webster here, and I'm looking for my perfect match. I'm around two years old and I tip the scales at about 15 lbs, give or take a few. It's time for me to find my forever home, but in the spirit of full disclosure, I have a few special requirements. First, I need someone who can be a bit patient during my transition period. You see, folks tend to see my incredibly good looks and they want to immediately smother me with affection...well, that doesn't work for me. Honestly, I have a hard time with unfamiliar situations and I can become overwhelmed with introductions so I'm going to want to take it slow and probably have a series of short visits so I can get to know you. My opinion is, you can't rush something you want to last forever. IT'S A PROCESS! Next, it would be best for me if I'm your one and only four-legged companion. Finally, no children. Sometimes little ones find it hard to "see and not touch" and let's face it, I'm not a toy. Now for all my endearing qualities, l love going on car rides; I love going on walks; as a matter of fact, I love all kinds of things like toys, treats, playing fetch, being brushed and yes, even snuggles. I'm really smart too! I'm crate trained and potty-trained and I know basic commands. I can be your loyal and loving best friend. You just have to remember, the prize is in the process! show less
