Puppies are not housetrained, they don't know that shoes are not chew toys, and they won't know any of the cool tricks adult dogs know like how to sit on cue or walk on a leash. Puppies need lots of patience, love, supervision, and proper socialization. A great way to bond with a new puppy would be to take a positive reinforcement-based puppy class together. Bentley seems interested in people and will greet you at the front of his cage, he enjoys being pet and doesn't seem to mind being picked up. But Bentley does have a history of overstimulation so he would be best suited for a quiet home as an only pet. Bentley has lived with kids but is not recommended for young children. show less

A very handsome gentleman, Blackie came to the shelter when his former family was moving and couldn't take him along. Blackie is a quiet and calm guy who can start off a little shy, but is really a gentle and sweet fellow. He can be lightly playful and enjoys little bird toys most of all! Blackie can hide at first from strangers, but will come out to see what's going on. Blackie did live with a small dog in his former home and may do well with a small older and calm canine companion, after the proper introductions of course. All-in-all, Blackie is really an awesome guy who deserves to have a quiet and calm home to relax and enjoy life. They were very scared of people but have finally learned that humans are actually pretty fun. Once they trust someone they are extremely snuggly, affectionate kittens. The boys will need slow introductions to their new homes and still need some assistance when meeting new people. Having a people-social cat as a role model will help but isn't required. Typical of kittens, they are playful and apt to get into mischief while exploring; household manners will need to be learned. These little cuties will be wonderful pets for people who have patience and are willing to put in a little extra work in the first few weeks. show less
