IMPORTANT NOTE: Contact Vicky @ 619-733-1512 if you are interested in Blue. Blue is not an Animal Alliance dog but is owned by another rescue called Friends of Humane Services TJ. Please don't contact us or fill out one of our applications! Call Vicky for questions and for an application since she's the adoption coordinator for FHSTJ. Blue is... • Calm • Quiet • Very affectionate • Social • Endearing • Smart • Gets along great with other dogs • Husky/Shepherd mix • 2 years old • Neutered • Vaccinated • Housetrained • Home ownership required along with a fenced yard Blue's backstory: Blue was rescued from the street by someone who saw him and he was found with half of his leg missing. We have no idea what happen to him but he was badly injured. He was also very malnourished and very thin. He was taken to the vet immediately to have surgery, but after that his leg became infected. A second surgery was required and his whole leg had to be amputated. Once again his leg became infected and he had to have drains put in as well placed on antibiotics. Finally after many months he's fine. He's a tripod dog that gets around fine on his three legs. He is a beautiful dog and seems to have not been affected by all the trauma and pain that he went through, just a very loving boy. Blue is looking with a home with a yard where he can lay on some grass and have a loving family to take care of him for the rest of his life. Animal Alliance of San Diego is helping this wonderful dog find a loving home. Any further information or adoption processes will be handled by FHSTJ. Animal Alliance of San Diego accepts no responsibility for the information provided or any liability when Blue is adopted. Contact Vicky @ 619-733-1512 for more info. Hailey is the type of dog you could take anywhere since she has a great personality and she gets along with everyone, including strangers. She also isn't timid of new situations or unfamiliar noises. Hailey is also... • Sweet & affectionate • Playful • Loves everyone • Loves stuffed toys • Loves chasing balls • Lapdog • Gives kisses • Not shy • Well adjusted • Good natured • Endearing • Great companion • Gets along with other small dogs. There are 5 other dogs in the house she's currently living who weigh 7 to 16 lbs and she gets along with all of them. • Loves to play with other small dogs • Crate trained • Treat motivated • Walks well on a leash (harness is recommended for all our dogs) • Has not been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them • Lives in a home with parrots and doesn't pay attention to them. • Housetrained using the crate training method. Her foster mom can't remember when she last had an accident in the house. Hailey does not know how to ask to go out since her foster mom who has many dogs straight from shelters in her home takes them out all together in her backyard several times a day to go potty. • Dachshund mix. We're not sure what she's mixed with--- it could be Spaniel of some sort or it could be Corgi making her a "Dorgi" (Doxie + Corgi) but she doesn't have the hearding breed or working dog personality of a Corgi Her personality is more spaniel than anything. • Has a thick, plush coat • 12 months old • 15.5 lbs • Microchipped • Shots up to date • Healthy • All medical paperwork provided • Respectful children 8 and up • San Diego residents only • Adoption fee $325 Hailey playing tug-of-war: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpCaobdMhG8 If interested in Hailey these are the steps: 1. Named Leilani which in Hawaiian means "heavenly flowers" this little flower... • Loves her humans • Sweet & affectionate • Lapdog • Gives kisses • Loves stuffed toys • Wiggly butt with toy in her mouth (see video) • Quiet • Gets along with other dogs • Engaging • Perfect companion dog • Crate trained • Not a picky eater • Treat motivated • Has not been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them • Lives in a home with a Cockatoo, Amazon and a cockatiel and doesn't pay attention to any of them when they're nearby • Maltipoo • Has soft silky hair • Is hypoallergenic so good for people who don't want hair on their future but she does require regular grooming. • Currently being housetrained using the crate training method. She's almost there. No potty accidents using this method. • 3 years old • 8 lbs • Microchipped • Shots up to date • Healthy • All medical paperwork provided • Respectful children 8 and up but adult only home preferred (she's little and delicate) • San Diego residents only (sorry no exceptions) • Adoption fee $395 More videos of Leilani (copy & paste hyperlinks into your browser): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZmFHSPaPiM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oschMBvd4TE If interested in Leilani these are the steps: 1. Named after the beautiful white flower Magnolia is... • Very affectionate • Nuzzler • Calm • Quiet • Gentle soul • Great companion • Docile • Easy to take care of • Gets along well with other dogs and is not alpha but being the only dog would make her happiest where she can be the center of your love • Initially timid of new people • Has not been seen to play with other dogs in her foster home---she's oriented towards the people she loves • Crate trained and is quiet in her crate • Okay with being alone but of course would prefer to be with her family if given the choice • Treat motivated • Will not eat plain kibble for dinner • Knows "sit" • Loves to lie behind her foster mom on her chair with her as she works on the computer • Walks great on a leash with no pulling • Rides great in the car • Magnolia would thrive in a quiet home and maybe one with not a lot of new people coming & going • Has not been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them but based on her personality and breed we think she'd be fine • Lives in a home with a Cockatoo, Amazon and a cockatiel and doesn't pay attention to any of them when they're nearby • We do not know her breed mix for sure. The shelter we got her from said she was a Maltipoo/Spaniel mix but we do not see any Maltipoo in her since her coat isn't curly. She is white like a Maltese, although she has a orange spot on her side and dashes of orange in her ears. She also doesn't have the curly tail of a Maltese but instead a docked tail. Her coat is silky soft and she does not require regular grooming. Her ears in their fluffiness resemble more a Spaniel's. We do not believe she's hypoallergenic but she may be low shedding. Regardless, she's beautiful inside and out. • Housetrained. Can hold her bladder 8 hours overnight when left out in her foster's family room. • 4 years old • 16 lbs • Microchipped • Shots up to date • Healthy • Has pearly white teeth - just had her teeth cleaned • All medical paperwork provided • Respectful quiet children 12 and up • San Diego residents only • Adoption fee $325 If interested in Magnolia these are the steps: 1. Read her bio carefully to make sure she's the right dog for you and you meet the adoption requirements. 2. • Very affectionate • Human orientated but loves other dogs • Playful • Endearing • Can be energetic but calms down nicely • Loves stuffed toys • Loves to play with other dogs and is often seen in her foster home play bowing them • Treat motivated • Smart • Knows sit • Crate trained • Potty trained using the crate training method and taking her out frequently. Sandi does not yet know how to ask to go out since her foster has lots of foster dogs and takes them all out together frequently. • Not a picky eater - gobbles up plain kibble for both her daily meals • Lives in a foster home with five other foster dogs ranging in size from 16 lbs to 7 lbs and gets along with all of them • She has not been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them • Miniature Poodle mix. We don't know what she's mixed with but she seems to be low to no shedding. She does require regular light grooming (bath & blowout). We just had her bathed and blown Wednesday, November 3rd. • Needs some leash training • Can be timid so needs some confidence building • When our groomer was trying to brush her out face Sandi became fearful and the groomer did not want to scare anymore. Hence some of the photos we've shown has hair covering her eyes • We rescued her from a local SD shelter on 10/25/21 where she was scared. • 1 year old • 14 lbs • Microchipped • Shots up to date • Healthy • All medical paperwork provided • Respectful children 10 and up • San Diego residents only • Homeowner with a fenced yard preferred since this girl loves to run and play but also does not yet know how to walk well on a leash • Adoption fee $350 Other videos of Sandi (copy & paste hyperlinks into your browser): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtCeHhOkIK0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbSzoo4pM3M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU4Dhm3Gem4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsWNAWRj5UU If interested in Sandi these are the steps: 1. IMPORTANT NOTE: Contact Vicky @ 619-733-1512 if you are interested in Trixie. Trixie is not an Animal Alliance dog but is owned by another rescue called Friends of Humane Services in TJ (FHSTJ). Please don't contact us or fill out one of our applications! Call Vicky for questions and for an application since she volunteers for FHSTJ. Trixie is... • Very Sweet • Affectionate • Social • Friendly with everybody including strangers • Well adjusted • Intelligent • Quick learner • Quiet • Gets along with other dogs • Loves to play with other dogs but can play rough, but it's only play. She'd be a great buddy and play mate for a dog her size. Dog trainers recommend having a spayed female with a male or neutered male dog rather than another female in the same household. This is because females can have alpha issues although Trixie does not appear to be alpha. Most San Diego pitbull dog rescues will not adopt a female bully into a home with another large female for that reason. Therefore, we're recommending she be in a home without another large female dog. • Housetrained • American Bully mix. She is NOT an American Staffie but AdoptAPet does not have the breed American Bully although the American Bully Kennel Club recognized this breed in 2004. Trixie may have some StaffyBull in her since she's smaller than an American Bully which weigh a minimum of 50 lbs (Trixie weighs only 45). Staffybullys weigh between 22-33 lbs. For more information look at the table provided in this website (copy & paste hyperlink into your browser): http://www.bullyprideofaz.com/bully-breed-list.html • "Pitbull Ambassador" (but remember she's not a pitbull) • Short and stout. Almost a "low rider." She gets that from the American Bully. (See videos) • 45 lbs • Spayed female • 3-years-old • Up-to-date on vaccinations • Homeowner with a fenced yard required • Adoption fee $220 Another video of Trixie (copy and paste hyperlink into your browser): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB0mCNGGjQE Contact Vicky @ 619-733-1512 for more info. Note: San Diego Residents only. Children 10 and up. • Playful • Loves stuffed toys • Loves chasing balls • Lapdog • Gives kisses • Gets along with other dogs. She currently lives in a household with dogs ranging in size from 7 to 16 lbs. We don't know how she is with large dogs. • Loves playing with other dogs • Endearing • Great companion • Loves to be the center of attention so would be happiest as your one and only • Very treat motivated • Not a picky eater - will gobble up plain kibble • Walks well on a leash (harness is recommended for all our dogs) • Has not been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them; however she saw one from afar at our vet's office and she was interested • Lives in a home with parrots and doesn't pay attention to them. • Currently being housetrained using the crate training method. Her foster mom can't remember when she last had an accident in the house. Vienne does not know how to ask to go out since her foster mom who has many dogs from shelters in her home takes them out all together in her backyard several times a day to go potty and doesn't wait for each one to individually ask to go out. • Bichon Frise/Miniature Poodle • Hypoallergenic so perfect for someone wanting a non-shedding dog • Requires regular professional grooming. If a Bichon/Poodle isn't groomed it easily gets matted which can be painful to the dog and cause "hot spots" leading to skin infections requiring the dog to take antibiotics to get cured. • We had Vienne professionally groomed Nov 12th. • Silky soft coat • 18 months old • 10 lbs • Microchipped • Shots up to date • Vienne is very allergic to fleas. Her previous owner did not put flea preventative medication on her. This caused Vienne to lick her back towards her tail to relieve itching caused by the fleas. Right now Vienne has orange hair on her back towards her tail because a dog's saliva turns white hair orange. Vienne's not itching anymore since she's been given flea preventative medication and has no more fleas. No further treatment is needed just give her flea medication regularly. Her orange hair will come in white so she'll be snow white all over! • All medical paperwork provided • Respectful children 10 and up • San Diego residents only • Adoption fee $450 Videos of Vienne playing with other toys and other dogs. These videos not only show how playful she is and how she's good with other dogs but it also shows the orange portion of her back.
