About Lucky & Lady
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Need guardian angelLady and Lucky need a guardian! Lucky is a chunky, black-and-white male, about fifteen pounds. He may have some vision problems, but he seems fine. Ladybug is a slight, female calico, about eight pounds. They are both short-hairs, and the ages are estimates. They are indoors-only and litter box trained. They should stay together. Lucky and Lady have lived with other cats before. I don't know how they would be around dogs. They have never encountered small children, and would surely hide from them. They are not terribly social with humans in general, but as long as they have their own den to retreat to, they can definitely learn to live with an experienced cat person. Their story. Lucky and Lady are neutered and spayed, indoors-only cats who originated in a horde and lack social skills. Their first owner never socialized them, but fed them and let them live in her house. When she passed away, Lady and Lucky found their way to my neighbor. They lived with her for some years until she was no longer able to care for herself or the cats. She has moved out to be with relatives, and now Lady and Lucky need a new guardian. Their needs. Lucky and Lady need mercy and some living space. These kitties need someone to feed and protect them, to allow them to establish a little den in a secure part of the house, and to protect them from going to the shelter. They take refuge with one another, so they should stay together. They will probably never be lap cats. You will probably never get to pick them up. They are very shy, but not entirely unsocial once they get to know you. Lady talks to me when I come over to feed them. Lucky prefers to recline at a safe distance. They both watch me patiently and are receptive to all topics of conversation. Lucky used to sit near my neighbor on the couch sometimes. They are not outdoors cats. They do not know how to be barn cats. If they go to the SPCA or Humane Society, they will be put on a track to euthanasia because they will not allow handling. In the past I have helped my neighbor in taking them to the vet after administering prescription sedatives. That is the most unusual need they have. Besides that, they are ordinary house cats who love to run around the house late at night, who scratch and play with toys, who get impatient for their dinners, and who will quietly observe your household adventures. It is possible that a patient, compassionate person could befriend these two. To get anywhere with them will require a lot of work. They need a special person to be their guardian.
