About HAYDEL

Meet Haydel! He's an adorable Terrier, American Pit Bull/Mix who's ready to leap into your heart! He arrived at the SAHS in late August ahead of Hurricane Laura. He is still learning his leash manners, but he is highly intelligent and trainable. He does well each week during our doggy playgroups, and recently, he attended a Dog Day Out at Lucy's Doggy Daycare and Spa. He loved jumping in the pool, running and playing with his doggy friends. He would do best in a home with other dogs since he absolutely loves dog companionship and thrives with socialization! He can be very vocal, especially when he's excited. He just wants to play all day long! If you're interested in adopting Haydel, submit an online application today!Adoption ProcessPeople, who are interested in adopting a pet(s), need to fill out an application and send an email to adoption@SAhumane.org (please include the name of the pet(s) and ID# on the subject line, as well as attach a government-issued ID and proof of residence). This sweet Terrier, Pit Bull mix girl is Addie! Originally from Beaumont, this beauty came to us after being rescued from hurricane season in late August and is now looking for her FUR-ever home in SA! She recently recovered from an orthopedic surgery following a leg injury and was our first pet to use our new underwater treadmill! She was the perfect patient in our new medical building, where she also received laser therapy to accelerate her healing. She's now fully recovered and ready to be adopted. She is a sweet girl who loves to play, cuddle and shred all her enrichment cardboard toys. She will do best in a home with no cats. Her beautiful green eyes will melt your heart! Adrian is an adorable, energetic big boy who would love to have a home where he can run around and slobber you with kisses. He is a 4-year-old Terrier, American Pit Bull mix who was transferred from Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Laura. This boy gets excited meeting people and loves to receive all the love and affection. He would do best as the only pup in the household. Adrian is super playful and already knows how to "sit" and "lie down." He does get along with other dogs, but we do recommend a dog introduction due to his high energy. He is also Heartworm positive and will need to continue treatment at his new home. Will you give this guy a chance? If so, submit an online adoption application today!Adoption ProcessPeople, who are interested in adopting a pet(s), need to fill out an application and send an email to adoption@SAhumane.org (please include the name of the pet(s) and ID# on the subject line, as well as attach a government-issued ID and proof of residence). This adorable Terrier, American Pit Bull boy was transferred from Louisiana and is now hoping to become a true Texan here in San Antonio. His puppy eyes will surely melt your heart! He is Heartworm positive, but don't let that discourage you from adopting this sweet boy. He can continue his treatment in his new home. He is great with meeting new people, loves to play and enjoys all of his enrichment activities. He is also currently working on learning his leash walking manners using a Freedom harness (which we recommend) and is doing great. He is always ready for walks and good times! Will you give him his FURever home?Adoption ProcessPeople, who are interested in adopting a pet(s), need to fill out an application and send an email to adoption@SAhumane.org (please include the name of the pet(s) and ID# on the subject line, as well as attach a government-issued ID and proof of residence).
