Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles
About Dante von Daaden
Dante von Danden is a stunning 1-2 year old white German Shepherd mix. He is tall and handsome with a unique look. Dante is an outgoing, affectionate and loving boy who enjoys being petted and brushed and then rolls on his back for belly rubs. On walks, he is a pro, occasionally pulls when he gets excited but responds immediately with only one correction, and then looks to his handler for the next command. He thrives on training and will be his best self with someone who is committed to continuing with training. He needs an experienced owner who will appreciate his responsiveness and the connection he develops when he bonds. In playgroups, he did well with a variety of dogs and happily engaged in play with a large, friendly male. An active lifestyle would be thrilling to Dante. Older teenagers in the home to play with would be fun too! Another plus - he's housebroken. If you're calm, assertive with leadership skills, Dante would be your best buddy. No cats, please. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
