  Addy starts out as a wallflower: she’s not going to make the first move, but once you ask her to dance, she will absolutely say yes — if involves a feather wand toy! Really, Addy-girl has not met a toy she doesn’t like. She’s still painfully shy at times, but if her foster family sits and is patient she will come out for a romping game with a wand toy. She will hiss at sudden quick movements, but she means no harm to anyone – she just needs to feel safe and comforted by human patience. Addy looks to her sister, Zorie, for the paws up signal a situation is safe and are the best cuddle buddies.  Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Note that most of our kittens under age 5 months need to be adopted with a buddy. This kitten is currently in a foster home. She meows "good morning" and trills/responds when spoken to. She also gets very active and loves her playtime, toys are a delight. Artemis is  a 1 year and 4 month old cat who comes when called and loves to cuddle and rub.  Artemis was rescued from life in the parking lot of a car dealership in July of 2020. But then, this concerned citizen's family member had an allergic reaction to Artemis. Since then, Artemis has been living in their backyard and looking for a new home. They took her to the vet in early August for flea meds and the FVRCP vaccine, but she has not yet been spayed (appointment pending). Artemis is very loving and playful. She needs a person who can give her a little time to adjust to new surroundings, become confident, and let us know who she is. An experienced cat person with patience, or even a home open to having an indoor/outdoor cat, may be best. Artemis loves being around people and will make a great companion in the right home. Artemis is currently being fed in a garage, and she enjoys exploring around indoors on her own and with people present. She's curious, friendly, and watches her people as they work on things in the back yard. She even sticks around when the vacuum cleaner turns on!      Artemis is not owned by The Dancing Cat. Babaloo has the disposition of the baby in the family. A little mischievous in play, but with big eyes that make you go AWWWW! Baba doesn't like loud noises or someone coming towards him super quickly, and for now he seems afraid of men. We hope that after some of our amale volunteers spend time with this cool little dude, he will see that all humans are equally capable of belly rubs. A snuggler with a sweet side a mile wide, this boy will melt your heart and lap. Cleo is a friend to all and would do best in a house with a calm environment. Her favorite thing to do is curl up in a ball and purr. Cleo has no underlying health issues, is up to date on all her vaccinations and loves salty chips. It's also worth mentioning that Cleo is incredibly well behaved, sheds very little, and originates from Northern Holland! Cleo's owner is moving from Los Angeles to New York, and is looking for a loving and peaceful forever home for Cleo. Coco has a deep intelligence behind her soulful eyes. She craves understanding and attention from likeminded human companions. Coco has unique purrs that are deep and airy, like dragon puffs. She beckons you with big fluffy white polar bear paws and leans in for petting. It is important to read her body language and understand that she sometimes needs space, for this reason Coco will do best in a family without children. Coco loves catnip, her scratching post and being brushed. Don't be fooled by her age, she has an appetite for life and snacks! Coco wants to be the queen of your heart and home, she would prefer to be the only pet you have.  Coco needs insulin shots to keep her diabetes under control. Cookie and Cream are a bonded pair of one year old tuxedo brothers. Cookie can be very loving and rub against you for attention. He loves to play with any wand toys or anything with feathers. He also loves to cuddle, especially at night. Cream is a cat who craves attention. He loves to be around his brother and gives him kisses all the time. Cream follows his humans around the house, too, and is very treat motivated. He loves to play with wand toys or little furry balls. If he is not sitting on your lap he is relaxing and looking outside. He is very chill. These two brothers would love to find a loving forever home together. Cosmo and his brother Spock are loving black and white brothers. They're sweet, agreeable, and affectionate, and will enjoy sitting on your lap. They're playful, too. Cosmo really enjoys playing with his wand toys. He's the more vocal of the two brothers. Though they were adopted from an outdoor lifestyle four years ago, since then they've really enjoyed an indoor, family environment. Spock and Cosmo's owners recently passed away. These two brothers are looking for a forever home with a family who will continue to love them. They are not good with dogs, but they grew up with a rabbit and are good with other cats and teenagers. Dagonet is energetic and plays by his own rules. He was taken in as a kitten in August of this year. He likes to be next to his humans and watch what is going on from a distance. Dagonet and his sister Gremlin both enjoy playing with feathers, snuggling for hours together, and basking in the sun. Dagonet's family is moving out of state and would like to find a home for him that is patient, loving, and full of life. We think he would do best as an only-cat, sharing life with his human friends. Frankie has a resilience and zeal for life that will capture your heart. She is so much more than her origin story but to understand where she is today, we have to acknowledge how far she has come. Frankie was shot with a pellet gun and some of the pellet fragments were lodged into her spine. Despite great efforts and surgery, Frankie remains semi-paralyzed in her back legs. She is undergoing daily physical therapy to stimulate her muscles, which she enjoys and cooperates with, especially if treats are involved.  Despite her therapy, it is likely she will never walk normally again. This does not slow Frankie down in the least! Wind up a toy and watch Frankie go go go! She zips around with the zoomies like any cat, and chases toys and shadows like a pro. Frankie likes to join her foster Mom on the couch or climb up into her cat tree. Nothing stops this adventurer! Except maybe bedtime with her person, she loves to share the bed or couch.    Caring for Frankie requires some experience with cats. She will need to continue her low-level physical therapy routine. Frankie can't totally control when she pees or poops. To prevent leakage and to avoid clean-up, her bladder is expressed three times a day. Any potential adopter will need to understand, learn and commit to properly caring for Frankie's needs while understanding they may change in the future. Frankie eats out of a slow feeder to help keep her weight at a healthy level.  Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. This trio of garden cats would be happy hunting and lounging in a cozy backyard. The tuxedo and tortoiseshell are girls, and the all black cutie is a boy. They are not social with people or suitable to live indoors, but they work, live, and add a bit of whimsy to your life outside. They are great hunters. These three were TNR'd as kittens in October of 2019, and have been living along with a few other cats in a backyard since then. There are quite a few cats in this yard, as well as indoor cats in the home, and so we're hoping these three can continue to live and hunt outdoors in a new forever-yard.    These three cats are not owned by The Dancing Cat. Iris is a gorgeous girl with a heart even more beautiful. Her long fur commands attention and her green eyes mesmerize. Beyond being a stunner she is sweet and interested in people. If you want a gentle companion who will stay near you once she acclimates, this is the cat for you. Iris struggles a bit with change and needs plenty of time to acclimate to a new space. Iris would thrive in a quiet home and she may be happiest as your only pet.  Iris does not use a litter box, this is a behavior that despite much effort has not resolved. In the distant past she has used a litter box but will not use one anymore. Jonas - Sweet young adult cat seeking a fospice home. The Dancing Cat is searching for a fospice (foster + hospice) home for a very special cat. Jonas, a four-year-old tabby, enjoys cuddling for hours on end and long walks to his food bowl. It may take Jonas a day or two to truly warm up to his human, but once he does, he will not leave their side. He enjoys being no further than a few feet from his human at all times, often following them throughout the house. Jonas is very caring and protective of his human. If they decide to sleep in on a weekend, Jonas may wake them up to check that they’re okay. If they work for too long, Jonas may come get them and guide them to the couch. Jonas is not very playful, and toys don’t generally hold his attention for very long. If you are open to being the forever this boy deserves for as long as he has, please apply. Jonas has an inoperable tumor in his abdomen and his time here may be weeks, months or maybe even a year. He eats a prescription diet, is on prednisolone to slow the progression of the growth, and is very easy to care for.
