About Ellen and Portia
DOB: 4/7/18 Sisters Ellen and Portia are looking for a furever home together. Ellen and Portia get special sessions with their human caregivers that are designed to socialize them and make them the companionable creatures we know they can be. These petting sessions have paid off in the way of trusting exchanges with their humans. The two are food motivated, so we have been able to lure them from hiding out with treats, some pillow talk and a few brief pets. Trading treats for pettings this way, we are teaching them that humans are, for the most part, well-meaning and friendly. Ellen, who is FIV positive, is sweet and shy. Portia, a beautiful Russian blue, has the most beautiful soprano mew, and will sometimes call to her humans from her hiding spot to initiate contact. In spite of their introverted nature with other cats and humans, these two love the family dog. We are looking for a persistent and patient home with a loving family that will let Ellen and Portia blossom on their own terms, and in their own time.
