Hi! I'm Aphrodite. I ended up in a shelter with my babies that are now big enough now to be adopted to their forever families. My work is done in giving these babies life and now I need a forever family of my own. I came into shelter severely underweight and malnourished as I gave everything in me to keep my puppies fed and healthy. Now, I have gained weight and filled out quite nicely- all thanks to the amazing care of my foster parents. I am now ready to for adoption. Yay!. I love playing fetch, tug of war, giving hugs and kisses and toys that make noise such as crinkling or squeaking. One of my favorite things are Kong's filled with peanut butter (who wouldn't?). I really love belly rubs and head scratches. My foster mom has been training me and I love my training sessions. I love to please my humans! Ares : the “napper” of the litter! Ares, although sometimes joining in on the playing, prefers to nap over wrestle with his hyper brothers and sisters! Ares is the perfect companion to anyone who loves relaxing on the couch and watching a movie while he snuggles up next to you. Ares would do well in a home with older kids and/or pets. Coco is a sweet, affectionate, adorable girl who doesn't know she's blind. She loves to go for walks, play with other dogs, and cuddle on the bed or the couch. She is respectful and affectionate with her foster's cat, too. Everyone who meets her is captivated by her spirit and beauty. She is a sweet 45lb girl, 3 year s old and has been blind from birth, but she doesn't let that slow her down! Her playful spirit and youthful energy will benefit from a forever home with a fenced yard, and she'd really love one or more mid to large dogs and/or kids to play with. Coco has perfect house manners, and does not need to be crated when left home alone. She is calm in when left alone and is not a chewer. She navigates beautifully once familiar with her surroundings, and if allowed, loves to spend time on the couch and bed with her humans or just chilling on her own. She has a big bark when someone knocks on the front door and is otherwise very quiet in the home. She walks well on a leash and harness with guidance from her human. She enjoys long on-trail and off-trail walks with plenty of time for sniffing. She is highly food motivated and is a fast learner who responds well to positive reward training. She sits on command and is practicing "leave it", "stay", and "come." When she comes to step, just say "Step" and she'll lift her paws high to go up or down. ** If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt. Hi! I'm Duke! Check me out-I am the real deal. Do you want a laid back, super calm, super sweet, affectionate and super handsome dog? If so, then I am your boy! Come and meet me! I was a favorite with all the animal control people as I as am so sweet and calm. My foster mom says this about me: "He is a fantastic dog! He is so calm and chill and enjoys just simply being around you. Wherever you go in the house he will be there to make sure you are okay. He doesn't require lots of exercise and enjoys sleeping and laying on the couch most of the day. He is great on a leash, can be left alone during the day/while at work, and is such a sweet and gentle dog. He also does not shed (That we have noticed). Duke would make a great family dog and we are hoping he finds his forever home soon. He makes little grunts and noises to let you know how happy he is. Not aggressive at all!" I sound awesome ,don't I? Why don't you meet me and find out for yourself? I guarantee I will steal your heart. Kip is a 3-month-old male hound/beagle mix. He had a rough start when he first arrived with FUR four weeks ago due to a burn injury along his back requiring surgical intervention and medical fosters. After numerous treatments by veterinarians, daily dressing changes, and around-the-clock pain control, Kip has healed and is ready for his FURever home. Kip is like any other typical puppy at his age (aside from his scar along his back) with his playfulness and spunky attitude. He is currently working on potty training and will need someone who can be available throughout most of the day to help him progress. He enjoys sleeping with his humans at night and likes to be right up against someone for comfort. He can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but he comes out of his shell once he knows he can trust you. He would benefit in a home with another playful pup (being mindful of his wound) or older kids that can understand his injury may continue to be sensitive for a while. Kip has now started leash training.
