ADOPTED Ok all you Rat Terriers lovers, this handsome dock-tail boy is ready to write love songs with you.  Almond loves everyone!  He is a sweet boy who is playful and friendly.  He is great with dogs of all sizes. Almond loves going on walks!  Loves watching TV.  He has to have his blanket when he goes to bed because he loves being completely under the covers!  Almond recently had a dental cleaning. Bertha is 10 years old and has kidney disease.  She needs to be on a special Renal/kidney diet and is currently going to receive fluids twice a week. That could improve with proper loving care!!  She sees., but definitely has some vision loss. Buddy is an absolute darling boy, loving and eager to please. Buddy is a bit skittish and is afraid of new sights and sounds.    He is a dream on walks--loves to explore and is non-reactive when passing dogs or people on the street.   He would benefit tremendously from training--he’s smart and eager to both learn and please. And I know training would be amazing boosting his confidence.   Buddy has no destructive habits (like chewing, barking, or digging) and is housebroken (he will let you know he has to go outside by whining). He has had only one accident in the house (when I was not able to take him out for a break), so he is 99.9% potty trained.    Buddy does have a touch of insecurity, as his entire life has changed lately. So he may look for you when you leave the room and try to follow, He also can be timid in new experiences (like using the doggy door--and the vacuum scares him more than anything!) However, he understands routine and picks it up quickly.   He is friendly with people when first meeting them after a minute or two of observation.    Buddy gets along beautifully with my calm, dog-friendly cat and sleeps on the same couch with him. He is terrified of my other, more assertive cat and gives that cat a wide berth. When that cat approaches him determinedly Buddy will yelp and go quickly into the other room.   Buddy is not yet crate-trained but goes into his bed in the kitchen when he understands it’s bedtime. As long as he potties before bedtime, he sleeps the whole night through, and will only whine gently to go outside if he hears I’ve gotten up as well.  Buddy is a fussy eater and prefers wet food over dry (so I mix the two together). He loves cheese but has not shown interest in dog treats. He has also not been interested in dog chews.  Buddy will be a WONDERFUL dog for just the right owner: he would be incredible in any training class and will be your absolute best friend once he has time to settle down and understand he is safe and loved. Buddy is 5 years old and 15 pounds. Captain is another amazing Senior guy, Right up our alley! Captain is a happy go lucky and extremely easy going little guy. He gets along with dogs and is doing well with the big dog in his foster home.  He loves to follow his foster family around the house. His favorite places to be are at your feet, in his bed, and in his crate. He also likes to sit in the back yard enjoying the sun and fresh air. This smart boy is housebroken and has already learned how to use the doggie door.  Captain is a quiet dog and almost never barks. He is looking for a special family to give him all the attention and affection he deserves. Daisy is a sweet, loving dog. and a wonderful companion.  She is hoping to find her special person.  Daisy is a special needs adoption.  She has been losing her eyesight since November and our vet suspects she has SARDS.  We had taken her to the eye specialist to see if SARDs was a confirmed diagnosis, prior to the shelter in place so that we could learn more about her future care and at that time they recommended that we bring her back for a procedure where they would sedate her and get a better look at her eyes.  Unfortunately, when the shelter in place hit, they postponed our appointment until this month. Daisy is adjusting well to her blindness and it doesn't take her much time to get familiar with new places we take her.  As you can imagine without her sight it can be very startling to be grabbed out of the blue.  We recommend some gently prompting before going to pick her up to avoid her startling or snapping in fear. She has also become more protective of her food bowl since losing her sight, so best to have a good feeding routine for her and feed her away from the resident dog. Daisy is such a smart and brave little girl.  Daisy is housebroken and crate trained.  She loves to sleep in her plush bed at night. We have been told that Daisy is 12 years old...but we are not convinced.  This spunky gal is waiting on you! ADOPTED Daphne is a lovely lady who enjoys  playing with soft squeaky toys. Daphne came to us through our rescue partnership with our friends at the Maui Humane Society.  California is the perfect spot for Daphne as she enjoys napping in the sunshine or right next to you on the couch. She likes scratches on her hind end and she knows how to perfectly position herself so you can't miss her perfect spot.    Daphne gives gentle kisses. She is a silly girl and likes burying her treats in her blankets and carpets. She is good on her daily walks and she really enjoys going on walks. She will spin around and dances for you when she’s excited. Daphne is working on her potty training and is crate trained. She is good with dogs. Dexter is a sweet boy! Dexter was severely matted, with masses all over his body, and specifically on his anus and tail. Dexter has already been vetted. Dexter still has masses but we are happy to report that the mass biopsy came back benign! Dexter also received a much needed medical shave. He is feeling so handsome and comfortable with all the uncomfortable mats gone. Now, this amazing, resilient boy is thriving, playing with his new dog friends, although we think Dexter would be best as an only dog. Dexter is feeling so much better overall! Dexter is so thankful to be in a loving foster home, cuddling and going on walks. He enjoyed sniffing all the bushes and flowers along the way. Dexter is 10 years old and ~19 pounds. Moons over my Hammy! Hamilton is a tiny Chihuahua who makes up for his diminutive size with his enormous personality. Hamilton is a sensitive softie who warms up to be a fearless fellow. Hamilton's favorite things include naps under the covers with you, a good game of tug, any squeaky toy, and a trot around the block. Due to Hamilton's sensitive nature, while he gets to know you, he would do best in a home with teenagers or adults only. Hamilton has done well in his foster home with other dogs and gets along with confident cats as well. Lily is quite the character.  She is sweet, young and active and would benefit from training.  There is a certain look she gives and then game on.  She is very playful, and smart and is learning to retrieve balls.  She has also learned "drop it" and she will drop the ball most of the time.   She loves chewing and playing with stuffed animals and toys (soft ones/balls). She is quite the little jumper and jumps when you jump. Lily was never leash trained so she will need some patience and leash training. She tends to pull when walking but is improving. She is shy and overwhelmed with other dogs at the dog park. Lilly is friendly with people.  She loves to get in your lap for the pets/cuddles. Lily is 2 years old and 10 pounds show less
