DOB: 8/15/19 Allegra is a beautiful girl that loves head and chin rubs. She is a pretty mellow girl that likes to perch on the cat tree and bask in the sun or curl up beside her foster mom while she watches TV or takes a nap.  Allegra is a bit shy when she meets new people but she is not a skittish girl...unless you move the vacuum cleaner too close to her.  She takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people but once you earn her trust she will be your best friend. The fastest way to Allegra's heart is through her tummy - she loves to eat wet food and yummy treats like shredded chicken.  If you want a friendly, loving kitty that likes attention but is not too needy, Allegra is your girl!  Allegra would be happiest in a single-pet household. DOB: 2/6/18 Blade is a very sweet kitty who gets along with other cats. A bit of a shy guy, he responds to pets and attention, but will have a longer adjustment arc to a new environment. Prior to coming in to rescue, Blade was living as a stray in the valley, doing his best to stay alive. While he was on the streets, he injured his front leg. A vet exam revealed that he did not need an amputation. DOB: 1/10/2009 Hi!  I'm Brody and I'm an amazing cat!  Yes, I'm a senior citizen, but I'm still very active, playful and I'm very affectionate.  In fact, my foster mom says I'm quite a character!  I'm sort of like a dog, because I come running when you call me, I greet you at the door, and I beg for food!  I was rescued off the street when my previous owners moved away and kicked me outside, where I became very sick and almost died.  After several months of vet care and a special diet, I am now healthy and ready to be a 'special' companion to a very special human.  I hate dogs and I'm okay with other cats, as long as they're not aggressive or territorial, because I like to be the 'alpha' male of the house.  Everyone who meets me falls in love with me! DOB: 2/10/12 Burt is a good natured cat who is comfortable around other cats and has had some exposure to dogs. His ears are a little scarred and misshapen, but we think that just makes him cuter! Burt is easy going, would love to be someone's personal lap cat and could be happy as an only cat getting all of the attention for himself, or sharing a home with a mellow cat buddy. DOB: 10/10/20  Ok, who's ready for a shy guy? Chervil is a wonderful kitty who was socialized a bit on the late side and retains a bit of fear of being directly approached, though he is absolutely not truly scared of people, purring deeply when picked up and feeling confident about approaching you when you're just sitting or working, especially if one of his friends is around. He's shedding this fear a bit more every day, and in a dedicated home with more people time, it should fade away. If you're willing to pair him with one of his fantastic friends and put in a little extra time bonding with him, he is a very rewarding little love bug.   Chervil is the big guy in his family, and takes the lead at playtime, which involves a lot of running, cat tree climbing and wrestling. He is not overly dominant though and takes feedback well from others. He is absolutely not shy when engaging with a feather wand toy, which is a great way to lead him right to you while he's focused on something fun. Chervil is fully box-trained and on a very healthy grain-free/wet diet. Since he is young and playful and kinda shy, he will need to be adopted with a buddy or into a home with a playful companion. DOB:  7/15/11 Chester is a sweet old man cat who's been through a lot in his life.  We're not sure exactly what happened to him, but we suspect he wasn't taken good care of AT ALL, and after almost ten years of that shoddy treatment, he was dumped at a high-kill shelter -- simply discarded.  We couldn't bare to see such a good-natured old fellow die in the shelter, unloved and unwanted, so we got him out, just in the nick of time.   It turns out he has some health problems, which is no wonder, considering how neglected he was throughout his life.  He has FIV, probably from getting beaten up by other cats.   FIV is not a big deal, of course, in the sense that it's only contagious through fighting, and Chester is not the fighting type, so he would never give it to any other cats.  He also has an underlying condition of IBD (irritable bowel syndrome), requiring that he be fed a special gastrointestinal food, along with probiotics, Vitamin D and steroids.  He is very good about taking his meds, though, and good about using the litter box.  With the help of his medicines, he's doing very well now.  He's put on weight and is obviously feeling great, based on his happy disposition.  Of course, even when he was at his sickest he was affectionate and friendly as could be.  It's just who he is!   Chester is an incredibly sweet, loving boy who just wants to be with his human.  He'll sit by your desk while you're working and make sure you're doing everything right.  He'll join you for television viewing, or anything you're into.  As long as you're there, that's where he wants to be.  He's curious and engaged, and just a joy to have around.  He's also very playful, for such an elderly gentleman!  He simply has a wonderful disposition and is an all-around good cat.     Chester deserves to have a loving home for the remainder of his life, which may be many years yet, to make up for the horrible first decade of the poor boy's life.  If you're willing to go the extra mile for him, he will repay you a hundred fold.   If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting him, please click here to email his foster parent.If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. DOB: 6/1/19 Chester is a kind and gentle cat searching for his forever home. He was born on the street and TNR'ed through Kitten Rescue (hence the ear tip) but decided that the street life wasn't for him. He loves scratches and looks at you with his longing, loving eyes. He enjoys making biscuits on his newly discovered blankets and melts under your touch. He is friendly with other cats but does not respond well to dogs. Our volunteers are smitten with his sweetness! He is a little shy at first but warms up quickly, especially if you're giving him belly rubs and armpit massages. DOB: 2/6/16 Yea, yea we know, Cooper is a good looking cat. He must know he is too, because that would explain why he thinks he an get away with being a pain in the neck sometimes. Cooper's dislikes: being picked up; being put in a carrier; sometimes, other cats. Cooper's likes: getting his way, being told he's a handsome boy, and lying around elevating the aesthetic quality of his surroundings. Oh, he also nips if he is pet the wrong way. We think Cooper would prefer to be an solo kitty with a person who loves to photograph their cat. DOB: 11/14/12 Look at that sweet face & those sad eyes! Coop (born in November 2012) is actually a happy fellow. He loves to play chase with the other kitties running thru the house with glee. His favorite toys are the Star Chaser and the Undercover Mouse - he seems to love toys that go around & around. Coop is also fascinated by TV & likes to sit on the arm of the sofa watching it (does not seem to have a show that he favors). He also loves to watch the moths flying against the window at night. He meows at them but I am not sure what he is saying. As you can see, Coop is a handsome Turkish Van mix. His fur is short & sleek - very soft. His eyes are a stunning light blue green. Coop was rescued from a home with too many animals. He has been around dogs. He is a sweet, low-key kitty looking for a loving family with another cat that will play with him. DOB: 3/29/20 Corsica and Crete, and their mama plus 5 siblings were found in an abandoned house and a good Samaritan brought the family to us.  Corsica and Crete are the last 2 remaining from the ‘Club Med’ family and are patiently waiting for their forever home together.  The brothers are very bonded and love each other, but have very different personalities.  Crete is the quieter one and very sweet and affectionate, and Corsica is the more rambunctious of the two.  They both love hanging out and playing together, and are very energetic and playful kitties.  Their personalities complement each other purrfectly!  They will make a great addition to any home, but would prefer a quieter environment, with no kids. DOB:  6/19/12 Dakota is a chill dude with a short, crooked tail.  He likes to hang out and observe his environment,  but he always down for playing with any type of string toy. Dakota tolerates brushing and petting to an extent, being more on the independent side vs. wanting to glue himself to a human. Dakota's ideal person would have some experience with cats and would give him a chance to relax into his environment.  Though we haven't seen him get involved in mutual grooming sessions, he does get along with most cats and could do well in a home where he was the only kitty or could share the space with other cat tolerant cats. DOB: 8/23/20Our sweet and mischievous boy Domino will bring much joy to your life! He is a total love! Domino will wake up and conquer the world then come to you for snuggles.We got him from East Valley Shelter and nurtured him to health and let his fun personality blossom! He has been a blast! He is very affectionate, likes other cats, and is a wonderful companion. One of his silly things is taking out all of his toys from the toy basket and putting them all over the home every night. What a goofball!He is a very playful boy and will need a companion cat with his same energy level. We have other young kitties to tell you about if you do not have a cat. He loves to play, wrestle and snuggle with his kitty pals. He is well behaved and a friendly little guy. He also thrives with interactive play and needs an active adopter who will engage in play and dote on his whims. DOB: 11/15/08 When Kitten Rescue emptied East Valley shelter, this beautiful 12 year old diabetic sweetie was among them. She was skin and bones, losing her hair, and was pretty stinky. Now, with her diabetes under control she is 15 pounds, her hair has grown back (although some of it is now a bit grey) and no longer stinky. While Ella is sweet and loves to be held and pet and cuddled and even will sit on your lap, Ella needs a home were she is the ONLY kitty. She truly dislikes and attacks other cats.
