PLEASE READ HER BIO BEFORE APPLYING. LINK IS AT THE BOTTOM. Gypsy was found as a stray earlier this year. When she was caught, we could tell that she had puppies recently. After searching for 24 hours she led us to a remote piece of property and down into a fox hole where 7 puppies were located. They were about 4 weeks old and little chunky butts. Gypsy cleaned, fed and took care of them down in a small hole that provided no daylight. Very impressive! All of her puppies have since been adopted out and we have continued to work with Gypsy and help her become a well rounded dog. She likes most dogs and is super playful. She prefers to be a couch potato and seems to love her crate where you can find her passing time sleeping or chewing on her bone. She does great with kids who are respectful of her space.  Gypsy still needs help with socialization of new people and we hope that her new owners will continue those classes with her. Gypsy loves to go for car rides and play with toys. Gypsy has been spayed, microchipped, vaccined, HW negative and on prevention and she comes with a GPS tracking collar. Meet Rufus! Rufus came to use from Cass County shelter where he was extremely scared and leash reactive. His foster mom has been working really hard with him and now he is a happy guy. He has learned to walk on a leash and loves the company of other dogs. Rufus needs a home without cats. Rufus needs a fenced in yard. No small kids for Rufus but older kids are fine. Ziggy is ready for adoption! Ziggy is a small terrier mix weighing 12#. This little spunky dude is 1-2 years old. He gets along with dogs and cats. Likes kids, but would do best with children over 10.  Ziggy is working on his house breaking skills and doing much better. He is crate trained. Ziggy enjoys walks, snuggles, and playtime with dogs his size. Being a active terrier a fenced yard is preferred. His skin has healed and we are seeing lots of new hair growth. Meet Zoë! Zoë is a 2 yrd old Italian greyhound/Chihuahua mix (we're guessing). She weighs 18lbs.  Zoë is a very playful and energetic girl. She is housetrained and loves to play with her dog friends. She is also fine with cats. She can get excited and jumpy so we recommend kids over 13. Zoë is a bit timid with new people and we have her in classes through A Canine Story to help with socialization. We would love to see her continue in these classes. She warms up quickly, loves attention, and will become your new best friend. Zoë is still working on crate training but is doing well. She does require a fenced yard and preferably another dog in the home to play with. Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart IN. show less
