***HOSPICE ADOPTER NEEDED *** Aurelia is a resilient lady who is ready to find a family to love her for the rest of her days. This 7-10 year-old pit mix is a funny girl who can be found shaking her toys around on the lawn. She loves, loves, loves food, and truly enjoys keeping humans company. Unfortunately, Aurelia has had a rough life- she has a potential ACL injury, luxating patella, and paralysis of the side of her face due to an old ear infection. She also has typical pittie allergies. Our goal is to find this lovely lady a patient adopter with a quiet home to make them her one and only, with a fenced yard, for her to be comfortable and live out her life. Do you think your are the home for this mama to live out her golden years? Thank you!   Bogie and her siblings are part of the golf litter who were surrender to a Georgia shelter. The volunteers contacted us as soon as they were dropped off to help get them to safety. They will be approximately 4-5 months old when they make their way to New England in September. The vet's best guess is some sort of retriever mix on these pups, where they will stay until they are altered and receive their vaccinations. Buggy is a big, healthy pup who will be about 6-7 months old when she heads to New England in September in search of her forever home. She was rescued from the same shelter as our other beach puppies and said to be littermates, but she and Dune are a little older than the rest. This 65-lb, three-year-old Plott Hound mix was rescued from Harris County, TX where his good lucks and charm weren't getting the appreciation they deserve. Josh loves people and lots of attention. We think that he'd do best in a home without kids because he does still jump up when he’s excited and he’s not small. He gets a little too excited around cats and dogs, so we will only place him in an animal-free home. Josh will need a home committed to behavioral training to work through his anxiety and fear of loud noises, such as the vacuum, hair dryer, AC unit, etc. and to help him be more confident living in a home.  Please note: The information provided is based on our Southern partner's feedback we have been given as of the day of posting. Meet Tyson! Please read Tyson's entire profile prior to applying, which includes a link to the adoption application. Thank you!   His name is perfectly fitting for this giant puppy! Tyson was approx. 6 months old and just under 50lb when he came to HHAR from a rural Georgia shelter. He displays typical Boxer mix behaviors- full of energy with a goofy, talkative nature- unaware of his own size (think bull in a china shop!). Tyson has not been kid or cat tested as he is staying with our vet staff until he is altered and vaccinated, but due to his energy level, he would not be suitable for young children, small animals, or apartment living. His sweet, deep puppy eyes will lure you in, but Tyson needs an active home committed to training and lots of exercise. The vet believes Tyson will be a large breed dog due to his current growth rate.
