About Asha - AVAILABLE

Adoption Fee: $425

Asha is a beautiful, laid back girl who has dubbed herself the Queen of Snuggles.  Seriously, if there was a town called Snuggleville, Asha would be ruling it! Give her the chance and an inch of space, and this girl will find a way to start a snuggle fest.

She loves to be around her people!  Be it inside or outside, Asha is psyched to hang out, and if snacks are involved, even better! When not snuggling, her favorite activities include supervising yard work (sometimes from the comfort of a lawn chair), watching movies, and posing for photos!

Asha likes the quiet life. She would prefer a calm home without other dogs or cats, where she can reign supreme in the land of snuggles. A private yard where she can lounge in the sun or frolic with abandon is the key to her happiness.

This stunning girl also has poise! Asha knows the cues for sit and down, and waits patiently for her dinner! Her house manners are on point! Out in the world, Asha is very unsure around other dogs and has some reactivity that will need continued work with adopters. She will thrive with someone who can give her structure and help her build her confidence.

We estimate Asha to be around 7 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She is a pit bull mix and has the silly, loveable, and snuggly personality to prove it! Asha was transferred to us with torn ACLs, which we were able to repair, and now she is good as new and ready to show you her favorite snuggle positions for maximum cuddle cuteness!

If interested in adopting Asha, please fill out an application at:

https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application

Asha’s adoption fee is $425 and is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

Billy Bob is a special boy who dreams of simple comforts, a rollicking good play session, and someone to call his own. In fact, he is often found sleeping on his back with a big smile on his face! Could he be dreaming about you? Are you the human he’s been waiting for?  Speaking of dreams, Billy is great with other dogs! He would love a canine sibling to romp around and play with. He can be a high energy player, but calms easily and takes direction well. He gets along well with dogs of all ages, but prefers medium to large sized playmates. This sweet boy is also incredibly smart! He knows sit, down, leave it, kennel up, and off! He’s also a great walking buddy and does best with a gentle leader. He does have some critter reactivity, however, and will need a responsive and alert handler. He would also do best in a home without small pets or cats. A gentle and kind soul, Billy has trouble meeting new people and being in new places. He will need an adopter who is patient and understanding to help him build confidence. Billy loves his people and warms up quickly when given space, and once he feels comfortable, he would love to snuggle up on the couch and snooze with you!  We estimate Billy Bob to be around 3 years old and weighs about 70 lbs. He is a pit bull type dog with all the love and snuggles you’ve been looking for! If you’re interested in making Billy Bob’s dreams come true, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application.  Billy Bob’s adoption fee is $425 and is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. *See more photos of Billy Bob on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.5622944141057670&type=3 show less

Bo is a happy, ball obsessed pup, who adores being adored! His favorite thing in the world is to PLAY! Want to play tug? Bo does! Fancy a nice game of fetch? Bo will happily fetch for hours! He also loves to give kisses and is an expert cuddler.  If Bo had his way, every day would be a constant rotation of play, cuddles, kisses, and making your day brighter! Bo does great with kids and loves meeting new people! He will be super excited to see you when you get home from work and will likely ask if it’s time to play. Did we mention that when he wants to play, he’ll make goofy noises until you pay attention?! Bo is treat motivated and eager to learn! He knows sit, down, spin, stay, and more! He’s working with a trainer to help him with some leash reactivity to dogs and cars and has been making great progress! He is excited to show you how much he’s learned and hopes you are able to help him unlock his full potential!  When taking a break from all the love and play, Bo enjoys a nice sunny and quiet spot in the yard to sunbathe. He would LOVE a fully fenced yard for all his sporting and lounging needs. He also would do best as the only animal in the home. He has so much love to give, he’ll make your world feel whole! We estimate Bo to be about 7 years old and weighs 65 pounds. We think he's a pit bull/lab mix, but we KNOW he’s 100% a good boy!  If interested in adopting Bo, please fill out an application at:  https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application.  Bo’s adoption fee is $425 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Hiya! My name is Brawny, and I am such a handsome, smart and cuddly boy! When I'm not showing off all of my training skills (and I have lots!), I love to frolic around, play fetch and am so much fun! I can be scared and nervous of new things and people, but I have made so much progress and gained so much confidence over the last year! I can't wait to find my forever humans! I'm an active pup and love my walks and hikes! Not only do they help me stay exposed to things, they help me get all my energy out. I think nature's pretty cool, and I have a super good nose to sniff out the best places too!  I am very food motivated and work hard for my meals! Since I was lucky enough to do a training program, I can say I am really smart too. You wouldn't guess it since I'm such a silly goofy boy, but I tell ya, I know SO many cues. All the basics like "Sit", "Down", "Come", "Place", "Heel", etc. I can even do what my foster family calls "duration place" and I will stay on my cot for 30 minutes or more! Impressive huh?! I love learning stuff for my people!  All the training I’ve done has taught me how to work through my fear, and I practice every day. Sometimes crowds and things can bother me, but as long as I have someone to remind me it's okay and to help advocate for me in situations where I need it, I know it'll be okay. I love my pup siblings! They are the best to play chase and run around with, but sometimes I tend to forget how to "share". I think that's what my foster family calls it? All I know is that sometimes if my toys or treats are down I don't want my pup siblings to steal them. Do your siblings steal your stuff too? So my foster family just puts my stuff up and that solves that! Speaking of pup siblings, if I get to be a brother to someone, I hope they are confident and don't have any worries really. That will help me a lot with my insecurity! I've always thought a sibling that was cool, calm, and collected would be super awesome to have. I love doing what my foster family calls "boxing" . I always try to play with my paws up and smack stuff in the air! It's just so much fun! I also LOVE running and think that when you go outside you should always have a buddy. Buddy system right? So I try to bring one of my stuffy toys with me but I guess I'm not supposed to take them outside with me.  I hope that my forever family will be good leaders (having a good leader makes me worry so much less!) and have patience while I get to know them and get all settled in. I promise that I will give you more love than you can handle in return, paw-scouts honor. I am the funniest, goofiest boy, I just need someone who will give me a little bit of time to get comfortable, and continue my training so I keep up everything I’ve learned. I can’t wait to find them! **Brawny was born in December 2019, weighs about 70 pounds, and is a pit bull/German Shepherd mix. Brawny’s adoption fee is $425 and, as with all our dogs, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. He is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention as appropriate. If interested in adopting Brawny, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application  Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Meet Darby O’Gill! This guy is a happy, enthusiastic goofball with a huge zest for life! He is looking for someone who’s ready for constant entertainment and giggles. Can you open your home and your heart to this hilarious goof? He promises to repay you by bringing loads of joy and laughter!  Darby LOVES people! He doesn’t know what a stranger is and wants to be every person’s new best friend. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and will climb in your lap if you let him! Whether he’s flopping around begging for a belly rub, insisting on shoving slobbery toys in your lap to be thrown, or trying to catch his ever elusive tail, this boy will keep you laughing all day long. As much as he loves people, Darby missed out on some basic social skills with other dogs, and would prefer to be your one and only ride-or-die bestie! Speaking of which, Darby is GREAT in the car and LOVES going on adventures. He is an excellent copilot and sidekick! Due to a hip surgery he had about a year ago, he will likely never be a long distance runner or multi-mile hiker, but he sure would love finding new places to explore! Darby is eager to please and loves learning new skills! He’s not always the quickest to catch on to new concepts, but his enthusiasm makes up for what he lacks in processing speed! He’s definitely the class clown and you can bet training sessions will always be a hoot! Darby can’t wait to find that special someone who’s ready to make every experience a fun and ridiculous learning opportunity! We estimate Darby to be about 3 years old and weighs 75 lbs. He appears to be a pit bull type dog, but there’s no doubt he’s 100% comedian! If you’re looking to share your home with a happy go lucky goofball, Darby is the dog for you!  If you are interested in adopting Darby, fill out an adoption application at https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application Darby’s adoption fee is $425 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Doris Day is ready to find her forever home! This adorable little girl was born on 12/21/22 (so she’s still a baby!), and she is a pit bull type dog. Doris Day is a friendly, outgoing and opinionated pup who loves going on adventures and meeting new people. She has the best wiggle butt and greets every new situation with happy wiggles! She is being fostered with other dogs of various ages and sizes and adores her fur-friends. Doris would love a canine sibling in her forever home and prefers a more gentle play style rather than rough and tumble. She is doing well with house training and crate training and learning basic cues. As with all puppies, Doris Day will need continued training and socialization in her forever home to grow up to be her best self.  If you are interested in adopting Doris Day, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Her adoption fee is $525, and she will come to her adopter spayed, microchipped, with age appropriate vaccinations, and several dewormings. Per our rescue policy, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old for puppies. Dorothy is ready to charm the world! This special girl is the gentlest, goofiest, and sweetest companion you will ever find! She adores physical affection from her humans and LOVES having a doggie-buddy around to play with. Dorothy is deaf in one ear and can have trouble localizing noises. This leads to an adorable head tilt and a little clumsiness at times, which only adds to her charm, of course! She’s also been learning basic hand signs for sit, wait, and come to help with understanding what is asked of her. Loving as she is, she can be timid and shy around new people or situations, and sometimes loud, unexpected noises are unsettling to her. She also can be nervous on walks and has a tendency to try and bolt if something scares her. She’ll need a calm and patient human to help support her as she settles into a new environment. In the car, however, her foster mom says she’s the BEST road trip partner. She sits nicely in the car and enjoys watching the world go by. Dorothy would love to run a quick errand with you or just go for a drive on a nice day! And we mentioned she loves other dogs, right? Other dogs help boost her confidence! She does well with dogs of all sizes and even gets along with her kitty foster sibling, too! Doggie friends are the best, though, and a good play session is one of Dorothy’s favorite things! Her play style can be a bit rough and tumble, so buddies with similar play styles would be great fits for her. Dorothy is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs about 75 lbs. She appears to be a Husky/Shepherd mix and we can’t say enough about how quickly she’ll charm her way into your heart! If you're looking for a playful, silly, and sweet pup to add to your family pack, Dorothy is your gal! Dorothy’s adoption fee is $425 and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. If interested in adopting Dorothy, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Dorothy on her Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4842820335736725&type=3 show less
