About Asha - AVAILABLE

Adoption Fee: $425

Asha (aka Ashanti, Ashi, Ashipoo, Tubs) is a beautiful girl and the queen of snuggles.  Seriously, if there was a town called Snuggleville, Asha would be Queen of it.

  • -We estimate Asha was born in 2016 and weighs about 50 pounds.  She is a pit bull mix.
  • -She loves to hang out with her people!  Asha loves to supervise all yard work and watch movies. Inside or outside, she is psyched to hang and if snacks are involved, even better!
  • -Asha is so polite and knows the cues for sit, down and waits patiently for her dinner.  Such a good girl!
  • -She is also house and crate trained.
  • -Asha prefers a calm home environment. Too much activity makes it difficult to focus on her favorite films and programs!
  • -Asha is currently being fostered in a home with other dogs, but isn't very good at meeting other dogs and requires very slow introductions. Because of this, at this time we are looking for an adoptive home without other dogs in it. Asha also needs a home without kitties.
  • - She is very unsure of new dogs and seeing other dogs out in the world, so she would prefer a yard so she is able to hang out without worrying about other pups. And, so she can properly supervise yardwork from her lawn chair!
  • -Although Asha loves to hang out, she is a medium energy dog which also makes having a yard important for her happiness.
  • -Among her other skills is her ability to sit like a human and lay on her back like a stranded beetle. She is a comedian!  There isn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t crack us up.
  • -Asha was transferred to us in October 2020 from another rescue in WA. Both of her ACL’s were torn so she had TPLO surgeries to repair them, and is now good as new and looking for her forever home!
  • -Asha needs an adopter with some experience who can continue the work we have done with her to build her confidence and provide needed structure. She has come a long way with us and we want to see her thrive!

Asha’s adoption fee is $425 and, as with all our dogs, she is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.  She is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention as appropriate.  If interested in adopting Asha, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application

Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

Billy Bob is ready to find his forever home!  This handsome boy came to us from the Tri Cities Animal Shelter. We estimate he was born around May of 2019, is a Pit Bull type dog, and weighs just under 70 pounds.   - This sweet boy does well with other dogs, and with a proper introduction, he would love a home with a canine playmate. He can be a high energy player, but calms easily if necessary. Billy plays well with dogs of all ages, but prefers medium to large sized playmates.  - Billy Bob enjoys walks and does best wearing a gentle leader and walking with a responsive and alert handler. Small critters are super interesting and fun to chase! - Due to his prey drive, Billy would do best in a home without small pets or cats. - Who’s a good boy? Billy is! He is perfectly potty trained and crate trained, and does well being left home alone for short periods. Superstar!  - This smarty pants also knows: sit, down, leave it, kennel up, and off. - Billy Bob can be nervous in new places, so he will need a patient and understanding adopter who will help him warm up to new people and situations. - A close second to playing, Billy Bob loves being a couch potato and cuddling with his people! - Some of Billy’s other favorite things include belly rubs, rolling in the grass, and doing zoomies with his doggie friends! - Billy is often found sleeping on his back with a big smile on his face. Could he be dreaming about his forever family?  If you’re interested in making Billy Bob’s dreams come true and be his forever home, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application.  Billy Bob’s adoption fee is $425 and, as with all our dogs, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. He is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention as appropriate. Bo is a happy, handsome, fun, and cuddly pup.  He LOVES to play.  Tug?  Yep.  Fetch?  You bet. He also loves to give kisses and is an expert cuddler.  If Bo had a list of his favorite things to do, we are not sure which of these would be at the top of the list so his new family should be ready for tug, fetch, snuggles AND kisses.   Bo’s details:  -Bo was born around September 2016 and weighs 65 pounds and is, we think, a pit bull/lab mix.  -Bo loves treats and is eager to learn!  He knows sit, down, spin, stay and more.  -Bo is usually excited to meet new people and is SUPER excited when you come home.   -He has some leash reactivity to other dogs and cars.  We have been working on this with Bo during his time with us and we will want an adopter to continue working with him.  Bo responds best to positive reinforcement training techniques.  -He does great with kids! -If he wants to play, he will make goofy noises until you pay attention! He also loves all toys that make sounds.   -Bo would love a fully fenced yard. He appreciates the quiet security of a yard and being able to sunbathe!   -Bo would be best as the only animal in the home. He'll give you so much love you won't need any others anways!  Bo’s adoption fee is $425 and, as with all our dogs, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped.  He is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention as appropriate.  If interested in adopting Bo, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. **See more photos of Bo on his Facebook album!  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=forgottendogsrescue&set=a.3732881646730605 show less

Hiya! My name is Brawny, and I am such a handsome, smart and cuddly boy! When I'm not showing off all of my training skills (and I have lots!), I love to frolic around, play fetch and am so much fun! I can be scared and nervous of new things and people, but I have made so much progress and gained so much confidence over the last year! I can't wait to find my forever humans! I'm an active pup and love my walks and hikes! Not only do they help me stay exposed to things, they help me get all my energy out. I think nature's pretty cool, and I have a super good nose to sniff out the best places too!  I am very food motivated and work hard for my meals! Since I was lucky enough to do a training program, I can say I am really smart too. You wouldn't guess it since I'm such a silly goofy boy, but I tell ya, I know SO many cues. All the basics like "Sit", "Down", "Come", "Place", "Heel", etc. I can even do what my foster family calls "duration place" and I will stay on my cot for 30 minutes or more! Impressive huh?! I love learning stuff for my people!  All the training I’ve done has taught me how to work through my fear, and I practice every day. Sometimes crowds and things can bother me, but as long as I have someone to remind me it's okay and to help advocate for me in situations where I need it, I know it'll be okay. I love my pup siblings! They are the best to play chase and run around with, but sometimes I tend to forget how to "share". I think that's what my foster family calls it? All I know is that sometimes if my toys or treats are down I don't want my pup siblings to steal them. Do your siblings steal your stuff too? So my foster family just puts my stuff up and that solves that! Speaking of pup siblings, if I get to be a brother to someone, I hope they are confident and don't have any worries really. That will help me a lot with my insecurity! I've always thought a sibling that was cool, calm, and collected would be super awesome to have. I love doing what my foster family calls "boxing" . I always try to play with my paws up and smack stuff in the air! It's just so much fun! I also LOVE running and think that when you go outside you should always have a buddy. Buddy system right? So I try to bring one of my stuffy toys with me but I guess I'm not supposed to take them outside with me.  I hope that my forever family will be good leaders (having a good leader makes me worry so much less!) and have patience while I get to know them and get all settled in. I promise that I will give you more love than you can handle in return, paw-scouts honor. I am the funniest, goofiest boy, I just need someone who will give me a little bit of time to get comfortable, and continue my training so I keep up everything I’ve learned. I can’t wait to find them! **Brawny was born in December 2019, weighs about 70 pounds, and is a pit bull/German Shepherd mix. Brawny’s adoption fee is $425 and, as with all our dogs, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. He is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention as appropriate. If interested in adopting Brawny, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application  Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Meet Darby O’Gill! This guy is a happy, enthusiastic goofball with a huge zest for life, and he is looking for a foster home or a foster to adopt home! Can you open your home and your heart to this hilarious goof? He promises to repay you by bringing loads of joy and laughter!  - We estimate that Darby was born around March 2020, so is 2 years old. He appears to be a pit bull mix and weighs 74 pounds.  - Darby LOVES people! He doesn’t know what a stranger is and wants to be every person’s new best friend. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and will climb in your lap if he’s able to! - This boy will keep you laughing with his silly shenanigans. Whether he’s flopping around begging for a belly rub, insisting on shoving slobbery toys in your lap begging for them to be thrown, or enthusiastically trying to become everyone’s very best friend, he is always a comedian!  - Darby missed out on learning social skills with other dogs, so at this time we are looking for a foster home without other dogs. No kitties for Darby. - Darby came to us with a significant limp on one of his hind legs, and X-rays revealed an old pelvic fracture resulting in arthritis in one of his hips developing. He had a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery to relieve the pain, but he will likely always be somewhat lame on that side and have a decreased range of motion.  - A bad hip doesn’t slow Darby down at all! He loves to run, jump and play. His absolute favorite game is fetch! - Darby is great in the car and loves going on adventures.  - He will need continued work on basic training and manners, and is doing well with crate training.  If you’re looking to share your home with a happy go lucky comedian, Darby is the perfect fit! When fostering for FDR, we supply all food, equipment, vet care and training support.  If you are interested in fostering Darby, fill out a foster application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/foster-application.  Or email us with any questions at foster@forgottendogsrescue.com.  See more photos of Darby on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.5353948807957206&type=3 show less

Hi world! My name is Dorothy and I’m ready to find my forever home! I am such a special girl and am the gentlest, goofiest, and sweetest companion you will ever find!   - I am deaf in one ear, so I can have trouble localizing noises, have a bit of a head tilt, and can be a little clumsy at times, which I personally think just adds to my cuteness and charm!  - I LOVE other dogs. Pup friends are the best and playing with other dogs is one of my favorite activities! My play style can be a bit rough and tumble, so buddies who appreciate that would be awesome. I’m good with dogs of all sizes though, and I live with a kitty in my foster home too! - I adore physical affection and closeness to my people. My foster mom says the cutest thing I do is give her gentle little kisses while we’re waking up in the morning. I am all love! - I can be nervous and shy with new people and in new situations, so my forever humans will need to continue working on confidence building with me. I promise to make you proud! Other dogs really help me be brave and I would do best with an outgoing canine sibling in my forever home.  - My foster mom says I’m the BEST road trip partner. I sit nicely in the car and watch the world go by out the window. - I’m working on leash manners and basic training. When I’m out on walks, I can get nervous sometimes and can try to bolt if something scares me, or I turn in circles. Positive reinforcement and hand signals for training are great for me, since only being able to hear in one ear can be super confusing for me at times.  - I am well-crate trained, and my crate is actually my safe place! When I get a little too overwhelmed, I retreat to my crate and watch what’s going on. I’m doing ok with potty training, but don’t quite understand how to tell you that I need to go outside. I’m trying really hard though and just need a patient person who will continue working with me. I promise I’m worth it! If you’re looking for a playful, silly, special and sweet gal to add to your family pack, I could be for you!  **Dorothy was estimated to be born in February 2021, appears to be a Husky/Shepherd mix and she weighs about 75 pounds. Dorothy’s adoption fee is $425 and, as with all our dogs, she is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. She is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention as appropriate.  If interested in adopting Dorothy, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.
