About Ivan

Adoption Fee: $575

At only 3-4 months old, this sweet boy is already developing some opinions. The most recent declaration: Ivan thinks peanut butter is gross! This pup is part of a litter of sweet retriever mixes that was posted on Facebook marketplace, an extremely dangerous place for any animal to be.  One of our southern partners stepped in and immediately ran to pick up these sweet babies who ended up battling parvo and won! They received the best vet care with our Georgia partner and are now up here in New England, ready to be adopted into their forever homes. Since we do not know what the parents were so we can only guess they'll be med-large when fully grown, but we can promise they're 100 percent adorable!

Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. We are a foster-based rescue and dogs can be located anywhere in New England. All adopters must be pre-approved to arrange a meet and greet, and the adopter is expected to travel to the dog's location. We do not transport once the dogs arrive in New England. Applications must be submitted at HarveysHope.org for consideration. We estimate it will be 1-2 weeks before you hear from one of our volunteers. Thank you!

Introducing the Constellation Litter! These little stars will be arriving in New England in May when they are about 10-12 weeks old. Momma Celeste was dumped at a shelter in Georgia with these heavenly little pups when they were only days old. Despite the fact that Harvey’s Hope was beyond full capacity, there was something about the look in Celeste’s eyes, and we just couldn’t turn her away! For now, Celeste and her babies remain in Georgia, so she can take time to raise the little fluffernutters in the care of our vet partner. They will head up to New England to find their forever homes in May, at which point they will be up to date on appropriate vaccines, altered, and ready for adoption. If you would like one of these pups to shine brightly in your life, apply now! Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. We are a foster-based rescue and dogs can be located anywhere in New England. Looking for a loving sidekick? Balboa might be your guy! This incredibly sweet 5-7-year-old dog loves hanging his head out of the window on car rides, accepting lots of treats, and rolling in the grass. He just wants to be with you no matter what! While Balboa didn't always have it easy, he's gotten overcome a lot with his strong, joyful spirit. Balboa came to us paralyzed because he was shot with a BB gun. The BB is still in him, as it would do more damage to remove, but Balboa didn't let that dampen his enthusiasm. While he initially lost a ton of muscle mass, he's a fighter and is doing good on recovery, walking on his own. He has just successfully completed his heartworm treatment at our vet in South Carolina, so will be ready for his forever family in June! Apply to foster-to-adopt the sweetest boy ever today! Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. Bambi is approximately 8 years old and is looking for her forever home. Bambi is good with other dogs smaller than her once proper introductions are completed. She is learning some basic manners with our South Carolina boarding partner while she waits for her forever! Unfortunately, it is evident that Bambi was abused in the past and is extremely submissive upon corrections for unwanted behavior. She will drop to the ground as if you are going to hurt her, even with a verbal "no" or if you redirect her mouthiness with a plush toy. She will need to work with a behaviorist in her new home. She would do best in a home with another submissive dog or as the only dog getting all of the loving. She would not do well with a cat or children under 10 years old. She really dislikes having her picture taken, but we promise she is happy! This 55lb mama gave birth in Texas to a litter of puppies who were eaten alive by fire ants. Her one surviving pup, Flower, was adopted and now that Bambi has completed her heartworm treatment, she eagerly awaits a home of her own. Blizzard is a 5 year old husky and weighs about 55 lbs. He loves to be outside, and is excited to run around, but quickly settles down in the house. He is very affectionate and is always happy to give kisses and receive pets, or to chase a ball and play with dog toys. Blizzard is working on house training, but is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is quickly learning basic commands and is a fast learner, especially when treats are involved!   Blizzard’s ideal family will be active and walk or hike with him at least twice a day. He would also make a good running buddy. The home will have an active dog for Blizzard to play and run with, and a large yard with 6ft fencing. While his first response is to be tough with other dogs, once he sees the dog won't play until he backs off, he settles right in—and it is important that he has a playmate. His future family will have dog-savvy kids, or a kid-free home, with no small animals that he would want to chase, and will understand that Blizzard is a vocal Husky. Blizzard’s adopter(s) will also understand how important it is for him to continue and be consistent with his training program. He has entered a 6-8 week board and train program and will be available for meets around April, but you can get pre approved to be his new family today!   Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. We are a foster-based rescue and dogs can be located anywhere in New England. Hi! I'm Buddy! my daily routine consists of eating, napping, zoomies, repeat! I put eating first because it's my favorite. I'll eat anything you give me, and I'll thank you a million times! I take my breakfast at 7 am and 5 pm on the dot and treats in between when I've earned them. I also accept fluffy toys as payment for my good behavior: the bigger the better! Napping is my second favorite activity, and I am happy to do it anywhere- out in the sun, inside the car, wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket, or on your lap! Just please be careful when you wake me up; I don't love fast movements and can nip out of fear. Because of this, I probably wouldn't be the best match for little kids or chaotic households, but I'd love a family with older kids and maybe a calm dog as well. I'd like a laid back house that enjoys playing ball once in a while (because I am really good at it when I get zoomies), is consistent with crate training, has lots of toys and blankets, and knows how to manage a little dog's diet because I could eat till I explode.  The vet thinks I'm a Chi- JRT mix, about 2-3 years old, and I've rounded out at 19lb (I should be 15, but quarantine and crate rest...). I go right in my crate with a "bedtime" command, I have mastered "sit" for a treat, and I am about 90% potty trained (my treatment was hindering this). My foster home has other dogs (5lb to 50lb) but no kids or cats. I met an 8-year-old girl, and she liked to snuggle, so I really liked her. I am a creature of habit and don't love the routine getting changed up too much. Usually, new people make me nervous, but if they're calm and give me some space to come around, I like to settle in for a snuggle. Sometimes I have nightmares about being at a dog park or a big party... I get scared just thinking about it! I do my best to keep my family safe by raising my voice to let them know when I hear something off, so apartments, attached condos, duplexes, etc. would not be ideal for me. I was a local owner surrender with heartworm disease, but under Harvey's Hope's care, I have successfully completed my treatment and am finally available for adoption! I'm hoping to find a forever home where we can take it slow and really bond. Like most Chi mixes, I can be moody, so my new family really needs to be familiar with my breed and know I will likely never be a social butterfly with new people or dogs. I just like routine and my close circle, like a lot. Think we can be best friends forever this time?   Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. This pretty little mama is Celeste. She is around 2 yrs old, about 40 lbs, and just days after giving birth to her 7 puppies, she was dumped with them at a shelter in Georgia. Despite the fact that Harvey’s Hope was beyond full capacity, there was something about the look in her eyes, and we just couldn’t turn her away! Celeste came to us absolutely terrified of humans, and with just cause: humans failed her when she needed them most. She's making great progress and walks around with her tail wagging and the funniest smile on her face in Georgia, where she is taking time to raise her fluffernutters in the care of our vet partner. She and the babies will head up to New England to find their forever homes sometime in mid May. She is looking for a home with a kind and patient adopter, to make up for the abandonment she has experienced so far. If you think you could be that person, apply to make the rest of Celeste’s life one filled with comfort and love. "Stop right there!" You weren't really going to scroll past this precious little goofball, were you? This ham is Chunky Monkey, and he's ready to shower you with a million kisses. He's got lots of enthusiasm and so much love to give. We mean it- this boy shows his gratitude constantly with kisses. Chunky has learned to sit like a pro, sleep through the night in his cage without a peep, and is nearly potty trained already. The only thing he loves more than hearing "good boy" is a snuggle fest. Chunky Monkey loves to play with other dogs. He's very polite and immediately play bows once all the sniffing has been done. He is great with dog-savvy children but is probably too enthusiastic with cats. As playful as he may be, Chunky also knows how to relax and gives the best snuggles around, and he doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. No matter how hard we try, the photos just don't do this cheeky boy justice- with his curly tail, funky black and pink tongue, and velvety fur, this not-so-chunky angel will steal your heart. He's part of the Ice Cream Litter, rescued when they were only days old with their Mom, Belle. The vet believes they are SharPei mixes and likely med-large size when fully grown. They have arrived in New England and are ready to go to their forever homes!  Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH.
