Meet Alex! Alex is a 3 month old, 15lb male with similarities to an Australian Shepherd mix. Alex and his 7 siblings were found out in the woods by a Hunter in Grenada, MS and our rescue partners picked them up. Five of them were found at night and three more were found the following morning. They were filled with intestinal parasites, so thirsty and hungry. Alex's foster mom says, Alex is lovable, cute to the core, and inquisitive. He is a bit timid with new things and animals. He would do great in a home with other dogs and kids, Fenced yard preferred. Meet Alicia! Alicia is a 3 month old, 20lb female with similarities to an Australian Shepherd mix. She is carefree and adventurous. She is fun and loving. Will do well in a home with other dogs, but does show signs to be dominant so may be best in home with male dogs. Meet Bella! Bella was rescued by Charlie’s Crusaders after a volunteer reached about a dog sitting in a crate outside all day in the rain in Elizabethtown, PA. From the information that Charlie’s was able to obtain, Bella was born on 12/5/2016 and is a Min Pin/Terrier mix and is around 20 pounds. Bella is up to date on her shots, spayed, and house broken. Bella is afraid of being crated and her foster reports that Bella “wants to be with me 24/7 and needs constant attention.” Bella needs to be an only dog and will do best in a home with an active family with older children (13 years or older) and applicants must have a fenced in yard. Meet Boss! Boss is a handsome Chocolate Pit Mix around 8 years old and weighs around 68 pounds. Boss was rescued from a high kill shelter in Tennessee just days before he was to be euthanized. Boss is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. Boss loves female dogs but is very selective with male dogs. Boss loves people and prefers to be around them all the time. Meet Cameron:  Cameron is thought to be a Carolina Dog/Pit mix around 2 years old.  Cameron was found as a stray in a high kill shelter and scheduled to be euthanized when we rescued him.  Cameron's current foster learned he isn't to fond of small children or big dogs as both scared him. Cameron did get along with puppies and older children.  Cameron became very sick and was rushed off to the emergency vet. Cameron spent 11 days there recovering from what they thought was sepsis most likely related to a severe kidney infection.  Cameron was severely dehydrated, lethargic with no appetite and loosing weight.  They think Cameton might have diabetes insipidous but will know more after some more testing scheduled on January 20th. Cameron is now home with his foster family again and recovering amazingly.  Cameron is eating like a champ, playing with his toys like a puppy and has not showed any signs of aggression.  Cameron loves to go on walks, enjoys his crate and is house trained.  Cameron is learning what doggy life with a family that loves you is suppose to be like.  Once Cameron is healthy and has been cleared by the vet he will start his heart worm treatment.  While going through Heart Worm treatment. We are hoping to find a forever family that can provide him a loving and healing environment.  Cameron would do great in a home with a fenced in yard (fence required), older childreh, no cats or large dogs.  Cameron is a very sweet boy who only wants to be loved and spoiled.  If you are interested in adopting or meeting Cameron please go to our website at Charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application.    show less

Meet Davis! Davis is a 1 year old, 54lb male staffordshire terrier mix. He came into rescue in TN after someone was attempting to hurt him on the street as our rescue partner was driving by. She opened her car door and he hopped right in the car. He was in boarding at a vet's office until an available foster opened up and during that time he became the staff favorite. Davis' foster mom describes him as a young, energetic, playful, loving and inquisitive boy. She says he loves playing with other dogs and is cat friendly. He would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle and other dogs to run and play with. He is very affectionate towards people and is house and crate trained. He is a total sweetheart who is heartworm positive, but the rescue is covering his treatment. He is neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Fenced yard required. Meet Delilah:  Delilah is a beautiful 18 month old Shepherd Max that weighs around 44 pounds. Delilah and another dog Sampson were found abandoned by their owners in freezing weather when their owners moved off and left them behind. Delilah is a little on the shy side, but very sweet and loving. Delilah would do better in a come home with the family that will give her lots of love in time. Delilah gets along with other dogs and will make a great family dog. Delilah will need work with her leash walking and will need a home with a fenced in yard. He is a sweet boy that loves his toys. He walks well on a leash and knows sit and lay down!
