Bo is a 9 year old Male coonhound around 50 lbs. he gets along with dogs,cats, and kids. He likes to run off so he will need watched and contained.  the owner is surrendering because she can't afford to feed them. She thinks that Bo could possibly be deaf. Charlie is a 2 year old Boxer/lab mix, he is utd on vaccines and neutered. He is a loving playful dog that gets along will with other dogs. He hasn't been around cats.  He has lived with two small boys his entire life and has been wonderful. He was playing with kids  in the yard and broke skin on a little girls leg so his owners do not trust him anymore.  I am not telling the story for people to complain, please refrain from negative comments. I am only telling his story because I don't want to label him as not kid friendly. He has been nothing but wonderful with his two human brothers ages 3 and 1. We can look for a home with older kids just to be safe. The little girl didn't need stitches or even a dr so I dont feel that he was being aggressive. Hello world, my name is Dallas! I was an owner surrender due to them not being able to meet my herding dog needs. I’m neutered and about 30 pounds!  Positive traits: I’m a good good boyyy! I know sit and paw. I take treats ever so gently. I walk good on a leash but need a little reminder to heal at first. I LOVE playing with other puppers. I’m potty trained I love car rides Negative traits: I can escape any crate that ever existed I get into things that I shouldn’t. Separation anxiety Escaped 5 foot fence twice  Wait, wait, wait a second........  Just kidding... my foster moms say that those aren’t bad traits. She said that if I’m given the correct amount of exercise my herding dog instincts need , I don’t get into anything I shouldn’t . She also said that I don’t escape the crate at night and the only time I break out is when IM NOT EXERCISED LIKE I SHOULD BE. Did you guys know that dogs like me can be perfect family dogs if my human owners are experienced and know how to properly train me since I’m a border collie and my only needs are to keep my brain stimulated and my exercise routine completed for the day? Wow.... I can’t believe it’s that easy for me to be a perfect boy !!! For that reason, my foster mom is asking that another dog is in the home that will play with me and help keep my energy ran off is a must. No grouchy old dogs that will think I’m annoying.... SO BORINGGG!!! Also, I’d really appreciate someone being home most of the day that can let me outside to play in a fenced in yard or take me on a bunch of walks, bike adventures, roller blading, bikes, etc.I really just need to be shown that I’m not going to get locked up in a crate with no exercise for a really really long time.  My foster mom told me that’s about as unfair as locking a squirrel in a crate that just drank 3 energy drinks. If she says so, I believe her!!  We feel if someone is able to put in a strict schedule of exercise and trust in Dallas, he will be a GREAT DOG! He is still a puppy and none of these behaviors are out of the norm when it comes to a border collie when they are not exercised and mentally stimulated . Dixie Sue is looking for her forever home. She is about 10 years old, she is a little overweight weighing in at 109lbs. She would love to find a home where she can spend her senior years. She will need to lose some weight, but nothing some good walks won't fix. She is a very happy and friendly girl, and would love to find a home to call her own.  Pearl Age: 10 months, born 4/21/20 Breed: German Shep/Pitbull/Husky/Border Collie (according to the dog DNA test I did) spayed, UTD on Vaccines  Dog friendly- she is dog friendly most of the time but can be reactive towards other dogs around food/beds/toys or when dogs off leash approach me quickly. She also tries to herd our other dog and can be too aggressive in her play and need separation to calm down and play nicely. She also snaps randomly. Dog daycare has said she is great with other dogs most of the time but occasionally she gets “too energized” and needs alone time to calm down also, and they also say she has very bad separation anxiety. Cat friendly- she has not been around cats so I am not sure. Kid friendly- she has rarely been around children but seems friendly on walks, though she wants to jump to lick them, but will hold a sit instead if asked. House Trained - yes Bite History - she does not bite aggressively but she does have a quirk of trying to gently hold your hand between her teeth to stop you from putting on shoes or coats, I am a disabled recent college graduate that will soon be working full-time. I have spent the entirety of my savings account on a dog behaviorist, training, medication, and dog daycare, and sadly, I can’t afford to pay for her daycare needs when i begin working. Her separation anxiety is getting better and she can now be left alone for 15 minutes at a time, when before she couldn’t be out of sight of me even in the house, since she’s very hyper attached. I also worry about her being so dominant with our other dog, however she seems to do great with stranger dogs.  We have done 2 courses of obedience training and I do agility with her, and walk her several miles a day. I sadly though can’t sustain this when I work and the cost is exceeding what I have to live on. I want her to find the right home as she’s the smartest and most loyal dog i have ever met. She knows how to open doors and gates and she’s a very fast learner. But sadly she seems to be beyond what i am able to provide for her. She also has confinement anxiety and will hurt herself trying to escape rooms or crates so she would be best with  a stay at home person.  If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less
