About Princess Penelope
Princess Penelope is a 1 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 14lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention.
Princess Penelope is a sweet girl that is very friendly with everyone she meets! She was born with a condition called spina bifida, which causes her fecal and urinary incontinence, as well as occasional mild weakness in her hind legs which is almost unnoticeable. Although this will be a lifelong diagnosis for her, her condition is very manageable and her quality of life is still great. She wears a diaper in her foster home and doesnt seem to mind. Keeping her on a strict diet of her dog food helps manage the incontinence issues. Daily expression of her bladder and monitoring for signs of UTI are also an important part of her care. You would never know Princess Penelope is a special needs dog from the way she runs and plays! She loves to be around children, and does well with cats and other dogs. She walks well on leash and will come to her foster mom when called. She is an affectionate girl that likes to cuddle up after playing.
